Wow. This prime is stunning. I look forward to seeing him finished. I also really enjoyed your NMM gold video. I’d love to see a video on NMM silver. All of the videos I’ve seen are no where near as detailed and just look Grey.
Thanks so much for saying that. I’ve been in the process of working on both silver and blue NMM tutorials, but have been pushed back for work and finishing the army. I don’t have access to the tools I need at home. So I have to rent myself into a digital lab to edit the videos which costs a lot of time and money, so it’s something that doesn’t come first in the line of priority honestly.
I want to, and will try to finish everything after NOVA Open I August as I should be finished with the army by then and can try to catch up!
Thanks again for the awesome encouragement. ????

Got some work done on my Celestant Prime. Lots more work needs to be done, including getting the base a lot more tiles coming out of the ground or floating around.

Love the bases, I guess you made most of them yourself to match the shadespire style? Is it just greenstuff/putty carved or plasticard?
thanks man! Some I did, but when the new stuff dropped I just made molds of them and cast them in resin ^^

Oh he's really special that crew member is one of my favorites now.... he just seems to Pop more than usual...
well done indeed!,
Cheers MB
Thanks man! Haha yeah, i think the amount of cloth adds contrast to those “poppy” areas which I think is well needed. Gonna be fun to paint some sequitors and Evocators soon ^^

Thanks man! It didn’t take long so im gonna try to do it on every one of those cloths.

Wow! You are Getting Better and Better, thats truly amazing
Thanks man! I appreciate the hard core follow. I'm trying to challenge myself every time, and to be honest, I felt the Lord Celestant wasn't the best model I've painted so far. But all you guys are being super supportive which is helping me to finish these guys on time. So thanks again for all the likes and comments.

Yes that makes sense. I did similar when I did the claws on my Drakespawn. I didn't think carefully enough about the colour scheme in general because I think I would have done grey horns and claws with the underbelly being a similar colour to the claws. I just had to go more extreme with the highlights.
You can see with work like yours that not only is the painting first rate, but your decisions are well considered. It all makes a difference.
Yeah, the extra couple of highlights do make a difference in those cases. Well worth putting in.
Thanks so much man!

Must just about be the best painted army I've ever seen!
Thanks so much! It has been a long journey and its soon to be done. Very excited for GenCon, NOVA Open, and GT finals this year. I hope to snag some Best Army Trophies ^^

Awesome as always. Love the horns on the Dracoth. I always do horns the other way around, but they're very striking light to dark points.
Thanks dude! Yeah I tend to do this when the neighboring colors to the "root" of the horns are dark, like on this Black Dracoth. That way you always separate the horns from the more fleshy parts.

Here is my finished Lord Celestant on Dracoth!

Hi guys, I have a question that might be somewhat stupid:
do we know how the mournghoul functions in this army now? Are there points for him, etc?

Thanks man! I’m glad you do.

I have a question regarding the Lord Celestant on Dracoth. Which weapon has the most potential in the new edition? I’m torn between glave and axe, mostly for the aesthetics. I appreciate any help

Everything you paint is amazing but I just absolutely love these stormcasts. So, so good it’s unreal. Love your attitude and commitment and am with you with the only better thing to get attention from me is girlfriend/family although I find an occasional blitz on the computer/console gets me motivated back to painting.
Thanks man! I appreciate the support
yeah dude, I rock that Battlefront 2 every once in a while too. Gotta blow off steam killing ****** on the screen too haha ^^

I think you've captured that era of style fantastically! I often feel that animation through to art the detail and skill has grown in general at large since that era; but we've somewhere along the way lost some of the style and magic that those earlier artists had. Love to see your fully army complete with Endless Spells on the table as I bet that would look a rare treat of fantasy!
Soon! Very soon!
what area of the world are you in?

Thanks so much! Yeah I started this hobby in the 90s, so I am a huge fan of old-school GW style paintjobs, and artwork from that era and even the 80s like Borris Vallejo, while trying to take a contemporary spin on it. Super stoked you caught on to that! ????

Working on some judicators and finished my Lord Castellant. I’m so pumped to see the book on Saturday so I can make plans for the next 800 points ^^

Are we pretending it's still Wednesday? Cool, here are a couple of lightly converted minotaurs I've been working on. Hands and axes not pictured, they're separate for chest access purposes.
Got some more highlighting and detail work to do before applying war paint and finishing up the bases. Also need to smooth out the skin highlights on the standard bearer, the Tuskgor Fur is a little too stark in some areas.
Dude! Those look fantastic

Working on some Judicators for Gencon after work each day. About 3-4 highlights left then some glazing to be done. So close to having just Heroes left haha

The head of the pegasus just doesn't seem consistent with the aesthetic of the rest of the body to me, or with the aesthetic of the Stormcast themselves. It's just so bestial, exaggerated and almost comical. This face belongs in an orruk army. Maybe a beastmen army. Not a Stormcast army. Certainly not an army of haughty wizards who take themselves incredibly seriously and look pretty refined and graceful in all other regards.
Don’t judge a book by its cover! The goathorsebird be eatin’ no meat.

Whaaat? Y’all are crazy. All of the new models are just amazing. Not sure if I am missing something but compared to almost every other game or company even those heads of the new mounts are amazing sculpts.
I cant wait to paint them

Painted today guy today, not fully finished. Want to add some light on the lantern and some freehand on the cape (nothing insane, probably just some Sigmar inspired arabesque style abstract doodles)
Thanks for looking!
