  1. How does The Megaboss on Mawkrusha’s Strength through Victory rule  work?

It starts with 15 wounds.  Say It takes five wounds in a combat, but in that same combat  it slays a model.

How many wounds does it have left?  I think 11.  Is that right?

i ask because last time we played my opponent insisted that it would still have only 10 ledt because the rule does not heal wounds taken, it only increases the wounds characteristic.  So the benefit is that if you’ve got a healing spell/ability you can build it back up to more than ot started with.

    Thanks.

    - 10x letters are great damage dealers for their price with all the force multiplier. 40 attacks

How do you get 40 attacks out of 10 Bloodletters?     +1 from Wrathmongers, +1 from Bloodsecrator takes you to 3.  Where does the 4th attack come from?

    Thanks.

To be fair to the developers, much of these issues were directly due to EA, not the choices of the Mythic devs. The company was purchased partway through development by EA and absolutely gutted by them shortly before, or after (can't remember) release. A lot of the nonsensical decisions stem from this: the game was made, and then maintained, by totally different teams of people.

It truly was a very fun MMO and it nailed the Warhammer aesthetic so thoroughly that the armor sets and zones in the game still rank among the best in any MMO ever released IMO.

Also, there is a private server for the game out there that is decently active. The developers for the private server are legitimately unpleasant people however, which is a shame because it was great to be able to play WAR after all these years and relive the glory days.

Ironbreaker and Marauder are two of the most fun MMO classes to date. Uuuuugh, the nostalgia, it is getting to me! Curse ye!

I loved AOR.  A great game, despite its flaws.

    So much this! ^^^

Thats what I love the most about the new Age of Sigmar stuff. Taking established stuff and putting a new spin on it!

Thats also why I dont want GW to merge factions again, as all these mini factions have enormous potential for truly great armies! (Fire Bellies could become pacific islander themed fire cultists; Ironweld Arsenal could become a clockwork punk army similar to the Vinci from Rise of Legends; etc...)

It's funny you say that.  If you listen to Jervis Johnson talk on the newest Stormcast Podcast, he says that what the designers at GW like so much about AOS is that they are not tied to the old tropes.  He said that we will see more evidence of that in 2019.

The Idea ist that you Charge both the Ungor and the Tzaangors into an enemy unit.

You make full contact with the Ungors and only have one Tzaangor in contact with as few enemy Models as possible. The other Tzaangors are lined Up right behind zur Ungors.

So If they enemy attacks, He can only Attack one Tzaangor, the remaining attacks all Hit Ungors. You Pull Out the Ungor casualties making room for the Tzaangors to pile in and voila, you Hit the enemy unit with all the re-rolls.

Ok.  I didn't understand how you could make a successful charge with the Enlightened without getting at least one model within a 1/2" of the enemy.

I guess it would work even better when receiving the charge.  The Enlightened could sit behind the Ungors, out of reach of an enemy with only a 1" range. but would be able to hit the enemy themselves with their 2" spear range.

They reference the same thing generally speaking - the idea is to take full advantage of Tzaangor Enlightened (who get full re-rolls if an enemy has already attacked) so what you do (and there are several ways to do it) is get a screening unit (usually ungors) in front of Enlightened who are then killed off. After the Ungors are killed off you can pile in your Enlightened (who are right behind the Ungors) so that they get to attack with their full re-rolls but weren't made vulnerable to attacks at the same time. If you'd like to see it in action I'd suggest checking out Doom and Darkness's YouTube videos as its something he uses often.

How does this work when making a charge?  It would seem to me this only works when receiving a charge.  What am I missing?  Thanks.

Is anyone playing any lists with 200 Ungor?

I've started writing some twists and it seems to be a solid option.  200 points for 40.  5 units.  Might seem spammy but it would be quick and easy to push them around the table.

The other 1000 points would need to do the heavy lifting but sheer weight of numbers should be hard to deal with.

Has anyone played a full horde???

The battleshock will kill you.  Ungors aren’t a good tarpit unless in range of the stone.
