remember how HH lead from forge world passed away and so the HH died basicly with him?

No that didn’t happen 🤦‍♂️(yes Alan passed away but no 30k didn’t die 🙄). Please don’t spread such ******. It’s disrespectful to people who knew Alan and to the team who work/worked on 30k

Another anecdotal data point: back in the early 2000s, at my local GW store (Leicester) there were people playing pretty much every faction (even a masochistic Dark Elf player when they were truly terrible) except Empire. Bretonnia probably got a boost from being a new release around that time with, at the time, arguably the best plastic sculpts yet (though I never personally liked them)

Agreed. It's genuinely an excellent game. Shane it's not more popular, though it does have a decent community.

I was a staff member at your local GW store in the early 2000’s (2003-2006-ish) and  I was playing Empire 🤣

Just to point it out: AI generated material don't have any IP rights (they are not made by any human) and because of that, they are not under the umbrella of explotation rights.

That's something to take in mind for big companies that want to use some AI creations, unless they use them in countries that didn't sign any IP rights.

Actually that’s up for debate in the UK. Whilst the USCO has determined work requires a human element to be capable of protection, the CDPA 1988 (UK legislation) doesn’t. It simply requires the work to be original. Which opens up a can of worms and discussion perhaps not appropriate for the rumour section (I’ve written a blog on this topic for my job).

Personally I am hoping to see plastic infantry announced for Heresy at Warhammer Fest and for AoS, confirmation that they are moving to a 4 or 5 year edition cycle with more seasons instead of edition changes per se.

  4. I’ve mentioned this before but my source (I can’t tell if they’re bulls@#£ing me or not) said Old World will not be out this year. Rather more cryptically he said it won’t be what people expect it to be either. Salt should be applied liberally.

I do have mates who work at head office but I never discuss rumours with them (out of professional courtesy) so I can’t verify if this source is accurate.

It only came up as I mentioned I couldn’t decide whether to sell my existing WFB dwarves or keep them for Old World…

  5. Here’s a rumour. When they get round to it, the Sons of Behemat novel will be written by Adrian Tchaikovsky. I used to work at the same law firm as him in Leeds and we often discussed whether he would write a BL novel. Since he’s gone full time as an author, he’s hinted several times on Twitter that he’s writing something for them and this would suit his writing style (IMO)
