  1. I don't think the ship actually has anything to do with it, it looks too just be a mashup of the old Dreadfleet ship cad files.(Or maybe a 2/3UP of those files. Perhaps 3D printed?) Ie; Not big enough to be an actual model in it's own right, but something specifically created for this video. The important hints here are the; "Out of the darkness" (Darkness=Shadow) , the under water theme, and the GW troll of the "Fishmen" battletome coming out next.

    It's going to Deep Sea Aelves.

    Can anyone transcribe the cards or provide a bigger image?

    I wonder how exactly Skritch's "summon" works?

    Skritch's Card

    Wicked Halberd: If you roll at least one crit, this attack action has cleave.

    Action: Place a friendly fighter that was taken out of action (other than Krrk) on ANY starting hex and remove their wound counters

    Inspire Ability: A player chooses this fighter when using a ploy

    Spoils of Battle (Generic)

    - Play an upgrade card. This does not cost a glory point.

    There are always more (Skaven)

    - Choose a friendly fighter that is out of action (Other than Skritch or Krrk). Remove all wound tokes from them and place them on ANY starting hex.

    Sacrificial Pawn (Generic)

    - Choose a friendly fighter. If they are taken out of action in the next activation you gain a glory point.]

    Swarm of Rats (Skaven)

    -  Targets all adjacent fighters. Roll for each.

    - Range 1, 3 Swords, 1 Damage

    Fjul-Grimmir's Card

    - Long ago the Fyreslayers of Vostarg Lodge failed in their oaths to protect the city of Shadespire. Fjul-Grimmir, a former Runefather, sacrificed his birthright to enter the Mirrored City, end the curse and restore the honour of his people.

    Inspire: The fighter holds an objective at the end of the action phase

    The Earth Shakes (Fyreslayers)

    -  Choose a fighter and push them one hex

    Ur-Gold Boon (Fyreslayers)

    - Healing potion duplicate

    Activated Runes (Fyreslayers)

    - Everytime this fighter makes an attack action you may re-roll one dice.

    A Claim Retaker (Fyreslayers)

    - Way too blurry to read.

    I imagine that if and it is  a big if there would be i.e Orruk skeletons that their statline would be quite different than a pesky "human" skeleton. Imo, I don't see it happen as a new plastic set that makes Orruks, Skaven, Aelf and .... skeleton  would mean a lot of different plastic sprues if you want some diversity. What maybe will happen in the future is a Warhammer Underworlds mixed skeleton warband or a lone orruk wight character.

    With respect I don't see why it would, most plastic these day are more akin to individual character models with like one/two parts that can interchanged. No reason a new Skeleton kit couldn't have different types of Skeleton's on based of that, because all the individual models have no need to be interchangeable if you assume GW will keep following a similar design process with said hypothetical kit.

  4. I'm honestly starting to get the feeling that the purpose of Malign Portents isn't too expand Death as such. Not too say that they won't be a main feature, or get new models, but they aren't the focus. The purpose of this story is the return of Slaanesh at the end of the year/start of next. Calling it now.

    Nagash will probably go around fething things up, reclaiming a bunch of "stolen" Aelf and Stormcast souls, and somehow that'll result in Slaanesh's release.

    It may be a coincidence but there seems to be alot of witch elves being painted and used lately..

    #justsaying ;)

    Tyler Mengel has produced tutorials for WHC representing the following AoS factions;

    Death, Daughters of Khaine, Moonclan, Stormcast and is now doing one for Nurgle.

    That can't be a coincidence.

  6. Having been overtly trolled by the rumour engine all the way through last year, I dont want too say it but... Cthulu Elves?

    (The Necromunda tentacle, the pet dragon and the snail shell from Slimux etc;)

    Edit: On the other hand, a poster of another forum pointed out that looks akin the head of a baby "Chaos Spined Beast" (Forgeworld) With the new precedent of having "familiars" for every character/model might we be actually be seeing some more Darkoath stuff?

    I dunno... If I was GW I would ride the wave of new releases. It would make sense to make a warband for Nurgle, Darkoath and whatever new AoS releases are coming.

    Also Night Goblins could use some love in general... Right now they are a horrible mish mash of models spanding several generations. They need a reboot.
    I really hope the new mushroom seer is the herald for a new age of grots!

    I'm not saying they won't, just that whatever they have produced for season 2 has most likely been done for a while. So it's highly likely that it'll be made up of factions that have already been updated in one form or another.

    I hope we see a mixture of both in the next season in all honesty. I'm really looking forward to the day things like Seraphon and FEC get updated models for the new setting, just too see how they'll fit in. Alongside things like Pestigors to fill gaps in the model range.

    I've seen a few mentions on the internet, namely amongst the MP portents news, of some sort of skybound gladitorial arena. Maybe a hint at the 2nd Underworlds setting?

    What is offcourse a real possability is that for the second wave of Warhammer Underworlds it's quite possible or even likely that a Darkoath Warband will show up. I say this because I do feel a second wave of Warhammer Underworlds would likely follow the same setting for Age of Sigmar in 2018, with possibly a new city but perhaps even Shadespire again (due to the books comming I think both are valid options).

    I feel 2018 will center around Death(rattle), Dark Elves, Darkoath, offcourse Stormcast and possibly even Night Grots. Would make for a dark dark 2018 ;)

    I think we're more likely to see a continuation of the core factions that already have an armybook before lots of new stuff like Darkoath. I remember reading somewhere, back when the game was first announced, that all these sets had been sat around awaiting release for quite a while. So I feel like the second batch is more likely to be on the lines of;

    Seraphon, Moonclan, Pestilens, Flesh Eaters, Stormcast Prosecutors?, Beastclaw Raiders, etc;

    I susect things like AElves will most likely be saved unti we get a "new" setting, probably set in the Realm of Shadow/Light to keep with the whole "Cities of Mirrors" theme.

    I thought I saw glimpses of the Chosen Axes models in one of the promo videos for Shadespire some time back. It also had the skaven in it.

    I can't find this video now...have I lost my mind?

    Their box art was indeed shown in one of the videos on the website, but not the models themselves however. That being said we can kinda guess from the box art, and a modicum of common sense, that the warband will consist of 4 fighters; A Runefather and 3 Vulkite Beserkers. (1w/ Great Weapon? and 2 w/2 Axes)

    Haven't watched the video yet and it's probably all death related but you know who else loves a ship? Gutrot Spume!

    Don't be silly, it's clearly Dreadfleet 2. :D

    Nah, but in all seriousness I think you've nailed it. Nurgle vs Death starter box set? (Zombie Pirate/Nurgle Pirate based?)
