  1. What do you guys think the endless Spells and Terrain piece will do? Just wild guessing...

My take is that the walking cauldron will buff spellcasting to shamans nearby, the spiders will protect agains charges  - maybe doing MWs on units charging through it,  the mushroom some sort of generic buff/debuff (static one), the BadMoon affecting morale (buff/debuff to battleshock, or retrat thing) akin to Zarbag spell...

The moon terrain I have no idea... some kind of aura rule that expands/changes as the game turns progresses, like the tide of the Idoneth and the Nurgle rule?

The same model is behind at seg 44. There are a lot of new things, I think I see a cauldron and maybe a grot mounted on something violet...

At 0:44 you can see something that looks like a grot atop a purple mushroom, and it has a double moon banner...grot.jpg.456778e1af6741f396da3db7d99c9226.jpg

at 0:45 there looks like we're getting some kind of mushroom riders(?)(hard to make out there behind the new squiggling hoppers).

Yess! You can see it! A purple mushroom with a double moon banner! The Troggoth can be seen also early in the video as @BroknerTheBear pointed out, as the Mangler quickly on the pages ...

    Hyped!!!!

  4. Yup! Actually I just finished mine, just need some touch-ups...

I added a second dragon skull, put some pelts, a gutgouger and a shield, and choose a very badass looking head...

actually he has a “second version” of him, riding a stonehorn, but this one is a more complex conversion, because you need to reposition the legs for him to sit on the saddle...

  5. Hi!

What do you guys think about the Bruiser Standart Bearer?

Not technically "gutbuster", but still ogor, and I think he is pretty good for its points!

Cost 140, 7 wounds, hero keyword, 3+ to hit, one smaĺ shooting attack with the pistol, and can throw d3 MW on a 4+ at 24" range, with a good área of effect... He is like an one man, more accurate Ironblaster....

And the Overtyrant? His hability could be quite interesting against some armies and situations...

What do you think of them?

    Cheers

I'm surprised no one has mentioned that the rumour has a clearly lighter and clearly darker section. Given that slaanesh is currently held in the area between hysh and ulgu it could be the case that the demons have been affected by the mixed light/shadow magic that area holding slaanesh and this is reflected in their appearance.

I think it would be pretty cool to have demons consisting of two separate design elements blended together and would fit slaanesh excessive designs.

    nice spot!

With the incest I only wanted them for thundetusks, the whole rest of the army will be using lizardmen dinos or painting things to make them more jungle like. for mournfangs I'm just using mournfangs. Nothing else quite fits, but I'm painting them up like jungle cats.

For the 1000 point army it might look off that there is a giant bug and a carno, but once the army gets much larger and I have more big creatures the distinction between stonehorn and thundertusk should be clear.

For example this is my Iron blaster, I'm using dinos where I can, the bugs are their just to add to the magical jungle aspect.

My gosh!!!!  This Bastilladon/Ironblaster looks AMAZING!!!!! Perfect concept and execution and a very nice paintjob to complete! The ogor with the mask is awesome!

Ok, I stand corrected! The dinossaur looks very into the theme! This army will Rock, you can pull it off perfectly!

Congrats sir!  I tip my hat to you!

    Cheers

I love the conversions, but would of thought keeping things just as tyranids for mounts would of worked a bit better than adding in some other stuff. So for stonehorn gone for either the Toxicrene or the Mawloc/Trygon and for Mournfang going with Tyrant Guard, Raveners or Venomthropes.

Would of been cool having all the Tentacles everywhere.

That is my 2c and if you like your Idea stick with it because so far it looks really good, and the colours really look good for the Jungle theme, like the Light green markings on the Shell, maybe look at doing a few more.

I’m with Dravos on this... The theme you put is really strong and well done, so I personally would stick with just Nids or Dinosaurs, not both... If you are planning a big expansion of the army in the future then fine, but as you said your goal is to have very few models, and such difference in theme/visuals will be too stricking for such a smaller force...

Having said that, you proved to be a very gifted converter and painter, so if you really like the concept go for it, you will be able to make it look good! ?

    cheers

  9. Hi Turragor! since I'm starting a BCR army now, just saw your amainzingly painted Ogors here, and would like to first congratulate you on the very nice paintjob (not only on the ogors, but everything), and also if you mind sharing the recipe for that pale ogor skin... I was planning on painting my ogors a light blue, but yours are stunning...

Cheers and keep up the nice work!

"Calm before the storm" - Gork damn it, between the Stormcasts, Winds of Magic, Sea Aelves, a Storm could mean anything! Now it's like Christmas Eve...Damn you GW.

IMHO, to get that kind of reaction it should be a big scenic display... and what kind of display?

One showing the new stromwizards, battling the new death minions... OVER A STORMKEEP!!!!

that would make everyone gape... and will tick all boxes/rumors: new SC, new death, new AoS, new magic supplement... with new scenery.. which is a safe place... a “calm before the storm”...

    please... make it true! ??

    cheers

  11. Kkkkkk, I think the problem comes down to the fact you cannot please everyone...

If instead of a turtle they made a floating giant anglerfish with the riders into his gaping mouth shooting sharp teeth as javelins, some people would love, others would hate it as “gross”...

I agree that the turtle was a good choice since it would be a more recognizable animal to most people than some creepy abyssal monstrosity... same with the eels and sharks, to me all of them fantastically well executed...

Personally? I would love a more dark and weird abyssal look, being a big fan of abyssal life and Cthulhu Mythos (Think Dagon and Deep Ones) but overall very pleased with the aesthetics and the range, GW at its best, proving again to be the alpha dog of minis industry...

Damn... now after writing this I’m feeling the urge to convert a floating anglerfish with elfs on its mouth... :(

    cheers

I actually did convert half my ogors into women, all you really have to do is stick a vague top on them and trim any moustaches off, add some scraggly hair if you're feeling adventurous (Sisters of Slaughter whips make handy braids), I can't imagine ogor society puts any huge emphasis on beauty standards, or at least ogor standards of beauty are rather different to our own.

I do agree, different societies would have different beauty standarts... My two Ogarrin Witches are extremely beautiful fro my ogors!!!!!

also, would you mind to share some pics? I would love to see other female ogor conversions...

I would love that, I tried and failed to convert my frostlord to a female Ogor with a Wagnerian Valkyre twist. Actual female Ogors would be a blast.

Funnily enough, I'm working on some Female Ogors for my "soon to be" BCR army... I will make the Butchers all female, on the fluff of my allfrostum only the "Ogarrins" deal with the magical aspects... and it will work well with my Butcher with Cauldron conversions, one based on a Ironbelcher (carroying the cauldron minus the cannon) and the other being a mounted Female ogor on a Bantha (from the Imerial Assault range, painted white and it will look suitably a winter/wolly beast):

Not the best paintjob, but it's the better I can do... She will be on the Cauldron carriage, pulled by a Rhinox... and I made her holding a spine in order to bring luck for that much needed cauldron roll of +1 to hit... ;)

The second one, mounted on the Bantha, is still WIP:

I've already changed the staff, used the one from the weidnob Shaman from the IJ range...

Actually, if you want I can post some WIP photos of the sculps, but I have a warning... They are not for the faint of heart... :P Let's say that before sculping the cloak/dress, you have to sculp the naked body, and... errrrmmm... Think about the Troggoth Hag mini... not the nicest of views...kkkkkkkkk :P

    News about Idonteh Deepkin

Rumours, take with a grain of salt....

"he deepkin are not exactly the good guys in fact they are not exactly order per-se, they play more like the dark eldar, and their main reason for fighting is to capture the souls of others in other words they raid to steal souls to feel and have emotions but can't retain it for long. Think mermaids but not the disney version but the historical one.

The deepkin can fight on land as if they are still in water, in fact the models looks as if they are still swimming, this is because when they raid the area has a spell casted on it that allows them to fight normally, The models hair for example looks like its still floating in water best example of the effect is like the latest pirates of the caribbean movie where salazar mates if you notice their hair is somewhat as if submerge and floating underwater. The looks are somewhat mix greek and bit dark in nature.

Their mounts for the calvary like models are on shark looking things. There is a turtle too which is its center piece model. There is about 8 kits all together which will take up the whole month leading up to AOS 2. "

After this comment I wondered... If you look again at the Tenebrael Shard mini, he may be jumping, but he actually DOES look like he’s swimming in the air in that “atlantean way” ....

  15. Funnily enough I was toying with this idea this week, adding a magma dragon ou dreadmaw to a mixed destruction list, but with Beastclaw Raiders/Ogors theme...

they may be expensive, but compared to the Frostlord at 460pts, they started to look much better, and since BCR and Gutbusters lack a lot on the army synnergies field, having those monsters on a list doesnt look bad...

only problem for me will be converting the models to look good on an ice theme... maybe an ice mammoth... kkkk

I would love to see some list suggestions with monsters like this on a mostly ogor army...

    cheers
