Hoping with the Necromunda release, we get an AOS version of Mordheim.
Loving the new ally boxes!! The warherd one will supplement my current minotaurs quite nicely
just gotta hope for decent prices in Australia.
Wasn't til I clicked on the Necromunda news and saw some pictures that I remembered I played it as a kid! I had the guys with the long trenchcoats and rifles.

i just leave it here
The black paint version is so much nicer than the brown one on the old box.
I for one welcome the new meta of mortal-wound-inflicting hordes of triple-buffed spiders.

Just bought a load of spiderfang and had to buy extra bases.
Jokes on GW I wanted to buy loads more spiders anyway

people are normally more than happy to have people watching their games. Obviously dont get right up in their personal space lol, If you see a game you fancy watching just ask the players if they mind you spectating the game. I have no problems with people watching my game or asking questions as long as we arent rushed for time.
Okay cool I'l be sure to stop by and spectate appropriately

I hope there will be a release of AOS miniatures in September since there is only 1 codex scheduled to be released. I also assume 28 August will be the release date of GHB 2017?
They seem to be giving a preview of each main alliance every 4 days or so, 2 down, 2 to go, so could be as soon as next weekend (unlikely). They release on saturdays normally? 26th seems a safe bet.

No reason you can't come and watch the games over the weekend!
Okay cool I'll pop in and try watch some games. Not sure how much poeple like a stranger gawping over their shoulder but like I said I'm happy to supply drinks to those willing to talk me through whats going on!

If you can get a ticket (I'm pretty sure it's sold out at the moment) and want to borrow an army I'll have a spare one for you to use if you want?
That would be... amazing. Thing is, I'm new to the game and still need to learn it. Main focus right now is learning to play correctly, not play well! (and finish painting of course!)
I mainly just want to watch others play it.
Also, Element Games is in a neighbourhood without a decent ale pub so is technically my local.

I live right by this venue but my army is not ready for a 2k tournament. Can I still show up to watch?
I'll buy drinks in return for tactical learning/tips.

Not sure if anyone else noticed but they accidentally let slip that the battle-line 'if' rules will also apply to specific general selections in some cases, not just allegiance. Should make for much more diverse armies within factions.
e.g. it could be that Moonclan squig hoppers are battle-line, but only if you have the squig hopper boss as general. Question is, will this be Moonclan allegiance, or just relate to the general selection only? (Hopefully the latter, as that means you can go grand alliance and not limited to 400 points of allies!).

Squigs are indeed likely canditates for allegianceline.
Gotta be them, surely. More likely the hoppers than the cave squigs as that just makes more sense. Only other options are behomeths and squig herders.

Moonclan Grots are battle-line for all Destruction. So as long as they stick within the 'allied' portion of points it should be fine?

Thats were cheap allied sacrifical grots come in.
Yes that's my current plan for my 1k spider army, but for 2k intend to do a grand alliance of moonies, spiders, trolls. Still no battle-line alternative for that other than 3 units of grots.
But good news for Moonclan getting new battle-line 'if's. Should make for some interesting new armies with tons of squig units, supported by single horde of grots rather than 3 shi77y units of 20.

From the looks of it most things are going to be allegianceline.
Sucks if you're like Spiderfang and only have one candidate for battle-line anyway, and no allegiance ability

Interesting bit to me was that chariots and cavalry seem to be getting battle line 'if' status. Assume this will be true for other factions too.
That and teleportation and big hordes is now a thing for everyone.

Awesome job on these!
I really prefer the black armour on orcs than this silly yellow trend - those look like highway maintenance orcs.

I live 5 mins walk from the venue, but I'm away for the weekend unfortunately

From what I understand, your allies don't gain anything from your main faction and vice versa. The point of the allies system is to make it possible to mix different factions without losing the allegiance abilities of your main faction. I doubt that there will be any sort of keyword sharing, battleline sharing or anything that gives you additional advantages. Simply being able to take allies is enough of an advantage.
Seems like I'll be having Spiderfang as allegiance (not that they even have an allegiance ability), and throwing in some Moonclan grots, fanatics, and trolls just for defensive and anti-charge fodder.

I dont understand the allies thing. So if i play 2000 points match i can take 400 points of allies. Do the allies have the same allegiance ability then? Do they get the keyword of my main faction? Can i still build a grand alliance chaos army like now or im i only allowed to pay 400 points in other factions?
Yeah we just don't have enough info yet to plan new army lists. For me its about battle line status, i.e. will the 'ally' units share my main faction battle line identity, and will they share a keyword that allows me to put buffs on them.
Just gotta wait and see (but i cannot wait!)

I'm camping on the weekend of the 26th...so that is when I expect it to drop.
I watched the live video at work, and he said on that 'over the coming weeks' we will give more detail. I'm guessing at least mid-August.
