Plus it will give us more background into the world, that's something. Let's us know what duardin and aelves are doing some more maybe.

Who knows. A new story, new tiles, it isn't to be sniffed at. Maybe more rules for more recent heroes to use in ST.

The dwarf looks near identical to the current cogsmith. Slightly worried they will throw in current hero models.

And definitely a Nurgle warrior in the bottom left. Not sure on the figure above the banner, maybe a dark aelf?

You could experiment using washes over white, that would help with the red tones in the second picture.

I always thought that (bar vanguard wing) SC deployment as lightning was the 'hurled from Sigmar' start to the campaign. So, for me, I'd love these 'survivors' - those that haven't been reforged anew and hurled back - to be savvy, open to adjusting tactics and fast. I think that's maybe what we'll see.
If it's a regular scout like deployment it might feel too similar to lightning strikes. Maybe just a 'snap march' in the first hero phase or movement phase. Even better, better speed during the whole game. SC are pretty slow post deployment!
True. I feel that some kind of battalion ability would be fine. It's important the factions have their flavour and strengths and weaknesses. For example, ironjawz are also slow but can counter it with allegiance and taking the ironfist.

It will be interesting to see if the new SCE units break their ability to deepstrike, or otherwise be exempt from the formations that do. It doesn't make sense for units that have been on the ground for quite some time.
-
As someone stated earlier, it doesn't even have the possibility of being strung.

Whilst I think the models way way nicer than the rest of the stormcast range, I am simply worried for rules. I don't want the DoT to be rubbish because the stormcast become fantastic. The fact they made Kairic Acolytes so meh I guess shows they are willing to tone down new shinies.
-
This has me worried, this could potentially be stormcast on top of the pile purely due to choices available, or at least the disciples being shut down before they began.

On the other hand, they're beautiful. Would be interesting to paint.

i think its 40k rumor too but I'm glad to hear a president for guns in AoS
It was never not going to happen, what with free guilds, and dwarf units etc. I agree with you though, we now have fluff stating guns exist.
-
Dunno if I am confused here, what I mean is that description doesn't match the rumoured picture. Which only makes me think more that it is 40K.

This is a quote from the city of secrets book:
He buckled on his breastplate and tucked his pistol into the shoulder holster beneath his long overcoat. The black powder weapon would have to be kept dry. A lowly corporal could never afford one of those fancy duardin-made wheel-lock guns that kept out moisture –his sidearm was usually a trusty piece, but a sniff of rainwater and he might as well be wielding a loaf of bread.
I think it could be a duardin pistol, based on the above quote.
That's a wheel-lock.

Nah, look at her again. It's literally just a bolter with a Crossbow slapped on top, this totally looks medieval/fantasy to me.
Enough for me. I would be worried that this is too techy otherwise. -
I dunno. The archaic nature of greyfax's bolter looks relatively similar to this.

That's my work today, frenzied painting to finish the warchanter by Saturday, and 5 brutes and a second warchanter from mohojoe met the great God dettol, and came out clean and grey.

Thats a neat idea mate. Might sub it for a spear instead, like the big mawkrusha boss one. Gets the juices flowing anyway!

Brutal. Good work buddy. I am interested in making a megaboss with a more dramatic pose, don't suppose you have ideas?
-
Love it! Looks really orky, must be very imposing comparatively!

Hey buddy, that's a good looking marine, seems you've really improved in absentia.

It's an Eldar pet. Used to be in Rogue Trader.
Explains why it hasn't been discussed here, thanks.

Btw, anyone know what a Gyrinx is? Just in reference to the Warhammer TV vid.

So, looks like all chaos this time. I think it's very likely we are getting existing miniatures.
