That said, they're much more expensive now at 300 points for 40 (or 150 for 20). Not that they're bad, but it's worth considering now. For a 410 investment (with sorc), they'd have to be used carefully
Could add or swap in a chaos lord on foot for double activation.

Marauders seem to be a good glass canon. With a chaos sorcerer you can have them rerolling saves, hits and wounds. Hoard bonuses get them +1 to hit and rend 1. Axes are 2 attacks now. One thing slaanesh lacks is that reroll on wounds. So they can punch above their weight.

Any comments on twitch about if all the warcry bands will be in the book?
I ask especially for scions of the flame
They said warcry and some other models will be in the book.

Chaos sorcerer spell gives reroll hit and wound rolls cast on 6+ . The chaos lord command ability gives std units a double activation. There May be some gas in adding some of these updated std units.

Do you think we'll have any use for varanguard or will they end up being fiends 2? Even with some reasonable buffs, I fear they just won't be worth it compared to just using heroes.
Hard to say in the stream rouge idols got the charge and wrecked them. So we did not get to see what they could do.

Chaos lord on foot gives an std unit a second activation used at start of combat phase. So this will fit with the slaanesh play style. Double activation with those rerolls and exploding 6s hit pretty hard.

Think it used to be a 5, but an extra 1 is well worth it.
Checked yeah it was a 5 to cast but 6 to get all that seems good.

No one watched the twitch or got something to tell about the new book?
Chaos sorcerer daemonic empowerment now rerolls hit and wound rolls. Varangaurd can take marks now like chaos warriors.

If we get all of that, he may well turn into a must take for us. Tbh, depending on how severe our points increases are, we may lose out on a keeper and include him instead.
The demonic empowerment is still a 6 to cast. Lol

I'm happy to hear that varanguard can be marked. If the chaos sorcerer is markable and usable by us, he could really see some use imo - he can fit in syberites and he can make it so two keepers can get rerolls to hit (one from fane, one from his spell).
Ocular vision I think it may have changed as well to reroll saves he was some how handing out save rerolls. So yeah the kos in your face with reroll hit and wounds possibly armour would be devastating. Large units as Well synergizes well with daemonic empowerment with our exploding 6s. There could be a couple juicy units in the book. May need them because of the upcoming slaanesh adjustment.

an interesting buff, wonder if its still any allied unit, or if its tied to slaves to darkness. I'm sure the last thing they want is a chaos sorc lord in slaanesh giving the keeper of secrets full rerolls on hits and wounds for all of its attacks.
Well during gw battle report it sounded like it just targets a friendly unit. It could be std only will find out Saturday when reviews go up. Even if it's std only I have found marauders to be fun to play with. Again depends how much they change mauraders in this book. Varangaurd now just pick a mark so there not allies now. Though it depends on points and other changes if they are worth talking. This could be the only way we get our mortal side of Slaanesh.
-
Looks like chaos sorcerer spell now lets you reroll hit and wound rolls. This could make it worth while to take.
-
So new lord of chaos ability appears to be a double activation ability for slaves. This could make some of the slave units more interesting in slaanesh.
-
So the exalted keepers old warscroll is in the app again for some reason. Wonder how good it would be with the book.

Rhellion's list has both battalions.
Yup missed that

Why calvacade over sybarites? The calvacade 6in pile in can make choosing combat easier. While sybarites floods you with more cp and lower drops. Just kinda wondering how calvacade was a better decision.

Been reading a lot of the comments and I made a lists with all the concerns. I would rather not run BoC in my army list (Already have a pure BoC army want to play demons for Slaanesh) is this list viable or should I swap out some demonettes for an infernal enrapturess and cogs
Allegiance: Slaanesh
- Host: Pretenders Host
Mortal Realm: Ulgu
Leaders
Keeper of Secrets (360)
- General
- Sinistrous Hand
- Trait: Strength of Goodhood
- Artefact: Sliverslash
- Host Option: Monarch of Lies (Pretenders Host Second Command Trait)
- Spell: Progeny of Damnation
The Contorted Epitome (200)
- Artefact: Sword of Judgement
- Lore of Slaanesh: Hysterical Frenzy
Bladebringer, Herald on Exalted Chariot (220)
- Lore of Slaanesh: Phantasmagoria
Battleline
30 x Daemonettes (300)
20 x Daemonettes (220)
20 x Daemonettes (220)
Units
15 x Seekers (360)
Battalions
Supreme Sybarites (120)
Total: 2000 / 2000
Extra Command Points: 1
Allies: 0 / 400
Wounds: 131
We kinda need 4 heroes especially if you want to summon and use the locus to support your units. Another option for horde is chaos marauders marked slaanesh there pretty good 40 for 200 points.

My regular opponent plays Slaanesh. That book seems to really support a hero heavy play style and it’s any hero, and the end of any charge phase, that hands out always strikes last. Keeper of secrets on a 2+, everything else on a 4++. If you have three units near a keeper of secrets, he gets 3 rolls to try and make everything ASL.
As a slaanesh player this is not right each hero gets to attempt locus of diversion 1 time. Also a unit cannot be targeted by it more then once. The epitome can hit all units withen 6inches with a similar ability called horrible facinations at the start of the combat phase on a 4+.

hello!
deamon prince of slaanesh have a ability that lets him attack before the first chosen enemy unit in a combat phase.
if 2 different units is 3" away and want to pile in my friend says i need to attack the first unit that he attacks with.
i say i can choose to attack any unit i want inside 3" of me.
who is right amd who is wrong?
please help me with this.
The daemon prince gets to activate and attack what ever is in reach. It just activates if a unit withen 3 activated. No where does it say you have to attack the unit that activated. It get to jump the line and attack whatever it can like a normal activation.

Keep in mind a lot of people are frustrated at the lack of meaningful point changes in addition to many problems arising from old warscrolls. And right now FEC/Skaven/Slaanesh are this year's DoK so they want to see those armies taken down a peg or two.
Fec and skaven with new books gave builds that can bend as high or close to DoK hagnar. I haven't seen anything yet in slaanesh list jumping to that level of bent. I can see some point increases because slaanesh does seem to be over performing for now. We havent seen fully how people will respond with army changes. If anything I would like to see more point drops or new battletomes for other armies. We are seeing more strike first and the ability for units to activate multiple times showing up. Armies that can play in the activation wars or weather the storm of those armies seem to be doing good. It could be possible that for shooting armies to stand shoot or activate twice in the shooting phase for some units could be possible in the future. The introduction of the activation war seems to be causing a lot of armies the headach becuase they dont have good counter play to it.

With ghb 2019 coming i have been talking to people in my local area about points. Seems the point adjusments They want for slaanesh are kos over 400 and enrapturess over 160 and battallion cost increases. Some of that seems a bit much.

Mythicos triumph aos gt slaanesh took 1,2,7,8 there were only 4 apparently. Still waiting for the full results to be posted.

How do you guys deal with Seraphon? I have loads of issues with this matchup. He runs 1 Engine of the Gods, 2 Bastilladons, 1 bearer and 4 Razordons, Slaan and then screens of Skinks. He also used Shackles to lock down units while they got pinned and shot off the table.
I ran with 1 Keeper, 2 Exalted Chariots, 1 Epitome, then 2x 30 Daemonettes and 1x 20 Daemonettes.
I can't ever get to the Slaan and the Bearer, they just chill all game. It didn't help he got 2 arcane terrains right next to each other. Each round of shooting the Bastilladons wipe out 1 unit of 30 Daemonettes quite easily. 4 Razordons took out my Keeper in 1 round too etc.
I think I approach the matchup all wrong, but I have always had issues with this list and can't ever break the wall. It's especially bad when he gets a double turn with the 2 Bastilladons.
If you dont want to use outside hordes. I would suggest giving units fly to get to the back line units. They tend to have low body count screens. Though not perfect it does counter it to a degree.

2 Solar Engines should kill 11.67 daemonettes per round of shooting on average. If your opponent was regularly killing 30 in one go then he got very, very lucky.
Is this taking in consideration he reroll hits and and wound rolls. Because damage seems low considering average 7 shots each.

I dont think std changes the hero situation but we can now have heroes that synergies with troops. Maruaders lack run and charge but can now hit harder then daemonettes because of synergies.
The new lord on the lizard thing may work in pretenders. He has the toughness to actually use the dp mechanic in pretenders.
