This has won my award for Post That Makes Love To My Soul.

Actually, I'll put the offer out there: If anyone wants to talk business, pm me.

Don't know if I could play against someone who didn't remove their own mold lines. I prefer to play people you know who are actually involved in the hobby 😂

  2. Although bonesplitterz could do with an update , they should start with the older battletomes or armies that have no battletome.  before you say it I know bonesplitterz is kinda old but they do have a proper allegiance abilities and items and spells. there are older tomes that need an update first

  3. They are falling into one of the things that killed fantasy. There are still armies with no books and books that need an update.

If theres a another rule change so soon it may make newer books obsolete then there will be more books that need doing.

When aos 2.0 came out they should have done what 40k did and release aload of temporary updated books for most of the armies

I wouldn't really say that its just there's nothing really coming out next week for AoS apart from Mollog's Mob and the Godsworn Hunt which is more a Warhammer Underworlds release and then the next week will probably be Genestealer Cults for 40k or something. To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if there was at least a little bit of a lull in AoS releases between now and whenever Carrion Empire comes out considering we just got a huge Gloomspite Gitz release.

Some re do of old battletomes have been rumoured for end of jan beginning of feb. Although this was from a gw store manager (not my source) so take the whole salt shaker lol

Highly doubtful. Rules as written will remain as they are, Malign portents made mention that there are both memory daemon versions and physical versions now.

The stormcast heads are insane. Way to expensive. I'm normally ok with the price point GW set (even if I'd always like to pay less) but that is insane for a handful of heads. I'm also very surprised that the people on facebook that are always yelling about having more female models in the game are not complaining that there is a charge for female heads! (Though they don't have a head to stand on- as there is the male pack too!)
At this point though I'd rather make a green stuff mould of the female heads we already have than pay that sort of money.

I am surprised that they don't just add more spare heads to the stormcast kits (and a lot of other kits as well) The new troggoth kit has something like 8 alternative heads and they are large multi part. I know that is probably because they have less other options or parts but I'm sure they could find a way to squeeze and extra head or two on sprues.

With regards to the seraphon maybe both will be in the book. Like the beasts greatfrays , you could choose to be celestial demons and gain the teleport ability or choose to be physical and get another ability

Take your time, write slowly and correctly?

Big question, will terrain be a spawning pool?

Sorry was at work and not supposed to have phone on lol. I did hear that a spawning pool would be the terrain feature. The only thing I can back it up with is the source told me about legions of nagash before it was revealed.

Thought it might be worth doing a little post about the current state of play regarding rumours.

Last year was a pretty unusual year from Gw with no less than 7 big boxed games released of which two were related to AOS. 40k had a bazillion codexes, one campaign book and 3 campaign box sets but only 3 major waves of miniatures ( I’m counting nurgle as AOS). 40k also got an absolute boat load of scenery.   Apart from Soul Wars AOS had 7 battletomes, 1 campaign book, 1 boxed supplement, 1 campaign box and 5 major waves of miniatures.

I think we will see fewer boxed games this year.

I have a feeling we could get as many as 10 battletomes this year as we will definitely get fewer 40k codexes  but I will be very surprised if we get more than 6 waves of miniatures.

Here is what we can expect for 2019 in order of likehood

    Gloomspite book and minis 100%

Slaanesh book and minis 100% (confirmed by gw)

skaven: book 90% more than one mini 60%

Flesh eaters courts: book 90% more than one mini 60%

slaves to Darkness: book 80% minis 80%

    fyreslayers: book 70% minis 60%

    ironjawz: book 70% minis 60%

That makes the same number of battletomes as last year.

Personally I think we will see one completely new faction this year as we have had one every year since launch ( 2015 Stormcast, 2016 Fyreslayers, 2017 KO, 2018 Deepkin) but that is just speculation.

We will probably see at least one more carrion empire style box and underworlds season 3

Anything beyond that is pure guesswork.

    Missed Seraphon there 😉

  8. So i Have a pretty big event coming up and thinking of running seraphon. I have been looking at potential list ideas over at lustria online and see alot of thunderquakes. I dont see this as effective due to struggling on objectives. Like if scorched earth came up it would struggle. Am I wrong

No links but I am planning using Tzaangors and marauder horsemen's horses to convert some Tzeentch ones.  Should be relatively easy with some green stuff fur to cover any ugly bits.  Could obviously just use Gor bodies for non-tzeentch flavour.

Yeah the marauder horses come up alot in searches. They look great but its the saddles that bother me. Not sure how hard they would be to remove. Was thinking someting really different and using spider riders but not sure

  10. Im a massive fan of chariots (even if they are not really competitive) and while i do love our chariot model I dont want all my chariots looking the same. Also finecast annoys me lol. So what alternatives could I use in conversions. Was thinking a box of chaos hounds to start with they could pull the chariots. Obviously abox of bestigor and gor for the riders. Its the chariot part im struggling with. Any ideas?
