So, done some work
Will probably not batch paint the whole lot, but I'll keep plugging along and show some updates here and there.
When my tomb guard arrive I'll add a couple to this unit, and to the other unit that needs weapon swaps, but I think after this twenty I'll have a crack at the Necrosphinx

So, I've recently decided to go ham and make a tomb kings army.
This will be mainly a counts as bone reapers army, but for things I can't transfer over well enough, well I'm going to just put them on round bases and try and use the old tomb king rules with deathless legions.
Anyways here is my ideas and some models.
Kakatros will be settra, yes, im shamelessly ripping off someone else's idea.
Arch-kavalos will be tomb king in exalted chariot
Arkhan the Black will be a tomb king on a Royal warsphinx
Liege kavalos will be a tomb king in royal chariot
Boneshaper will be a liche priest
Soulmason will be a necrotech
Soulreaper will be a tomb queen
Mortek guard will be skeleton warriors, led by a tomb prince and tomb guard with halberds will be the great weapon guys
Kavalos deathriders will be skeleton horsemen with a tomb prince on horse
Mortek crawler will be an upsized screaming skull catapult
Gothizzar harvester will be a necrosphinx
Immortis guard will be ushabti
Morghast archai will be sepulchral stalkers
Morghast harbingers will be necropolis knights
Those are my ideas anyways, and now, the pictures

So, i have been busy over the last couple of days, rebasing some skeletons, working out what I want to run as what, things of that nature.
So, Liege kavalos, thinking I make that a tomb king in royal chariot, not as huge as a warsphinx, still adds authority.
Morghasts, well, these bad boys, I'm not sure. I think I can get necropolis knights and stalkers to work, but I could always put a death mask of a sphiranx and use then as a different shabti type model.
Ushabti being immortis guards works well enough, but necropolis stalkers are tricky.
Basic skeletons as mortek guard works well enough
Tomb guard wield the soulcleaver great blades
And tomb princes lead the units as mortek hekatos
And here is some pics

Going OBR is certainly not the worst idea. Maybe take a look at this glorious conversion for inspiration:
The only hurdle with OBR is that it's hard to fit the models you would most likely want to proxy on the right base size. Base size is important in Age of Sigmar. It's like the one thing about a model that is mechanically relevant.
A few suggestions:
The Tomb King on Sphinx is way too large to ba a Liege Kavalos. The Kavalos is on an 80mm round, the Sphinx needs at about a 120mm oval or bigger. My suggestion would be to proxy a Tomb King on Sphinx as Arkhan the Black instead. Or maybe a Gothizzar Harvester, although the base is kinda small and the Necrosphinx fits it better.
The Mortek Crawler has the opposite problem: It's huge, going on a 170mm oval base. You can consider converting once into an "updated" Screaming Skull Catapult, or just putting two catapults on one crawler base.
Here are a few others you should be aware of:
Necropolis stalker: 50mm round, Necropolis Knights: old chariot base, ~105mm oval.
Morghasts: 60mm round, Tomb Kings chariots: ~105-120mm oval
Bone Tithe Nexus: HUGE, Casket of Souls: smoll
I don't think any of this is impossible to solve, but it makes straight-up proxying a bit harder.
Yeah strait up proxie will be pretty hard, so I'll have to work around some stuff.
The sphinx will fit on a 80mm base (with some overhang) the other option would be a king in chariot, but then I have a sphinx with nothing to do with, although arkhan could work.
Maybe I can update the crawler to look more like the ssc rather then use one outright (might be cheaper to do this anyways)
Looking at my chariot on 60mm base, I think i need to do something else, maybe a coiled snake for some necropolis knights, or, use a mindsteal sphiranx and mount a skellie on it....hmm
So, I was going to use the base of the bone-tithe and sit a casket where the big statue thing goes, so size wise, it should be okay

Hey thanks for the reply guys.
Yeah, lack of archers and chariots sucks, I kinda understand why games workshop isn't expanding death rattle, but it still sucks.
Right now I'm feeling pretty strongly towards obr
Liege kavalos = tomb king on war sphinx
Boneshaper = liche priest
Soul mason = necrotech (I guess, not sure on this one)
Soul reaper = tomb queen
Mortek guard = skeletons warriors with sword and board or spears
Rumoured archer unit = skeleton warriors with bows
Kavalos deathriders = skeleton horsemen
Mortek crawler = screaming skull catapult
Gothizzar harvester = necroshpinx
Immortis guard = ushabti
Necropolis stalkers = necropolis knights
Morghast harbingers = chariots
Morghast archai = tomb princes in chariots
Bone tithe nexus = casket of souls
Also kitbased up a happy little liche priest

So, I recently decided to just do it and start a tomb kings army. I had considered doibg an updated one using soulblights or obr, but the classic imagery just can't be replicated in newer kits. I set out looking for STL files and some are okayish, but again, not great.
Then a local player offered to offload his tomb king stuff, and I rejoiced, but now I have the struggle of what to run them as, and what can I use to fill out the remainder of my force.
I'm thinking obr would work the best, what with them maybe getting archers, but getting chariots in there seems next to impossible, so then do I go with soulblight? No archers, but blood knights could do the job of chariots (some converting work though)

So, I actually got to play some games this weekend (covid lockdown over for now)
First game was a 750 point battle for the start of a slow grow. We have to keep the same general throughout so with that in mind my list was
Knight of shrouds on Steed with Ruler of the Spirit Hosts
Guardian of souls with Corpse candle
20 chainrasps
10 chainrasps
10 bladeghiest revenants
Took on beasts of chaos, and we played the herdstone reduced my saves by 1.
A mislay with the gorgan got it charged by my 20 rasps, who wave of terrored it, so it was dead, happy days, I lost like 1 model to stomps.
Bladegiest shot up the board, didn't kill his Minotaur but did kill his bray shaman and ungors, so slowed down the summoning.
The best gors tried and failed to charge my knight, so I summoned the chainrasps, who joined into the big scrum around the herdstone while the revs charged the best gors with my knight. Leaving 1 best gor alive kinda hurt me, as it tied up my knight who got charged by tzaangor on disks with swords, but I ended up burning 4 of the objectives for the win
Chainrasps are mvp, while bladeghiest are just fun.
Second games was a 2k game against squigs and my list was abit more jjst what I have, rather then something sensible and I decided to barely roll and 4+ for my saves.
I lost 20 grimghasts to a mangler squig turn 1, so that was fun, also only ever got off emerald life swarm, so barely any heals happening.
Chainrasps were still good, although I threw away ten when I tried for bring it down, and lost my revs the same time.
Saw about 4 wave of terrors that game which was fun and swords of stolen hours actually doing something.
Krulghast is alot of fun, and riekenor is terrible in combat.
All in all I had fun, and I think I can make my spoops work as a tar pit army

Am I crazy or did warhammer+ originally say it came with beta access to the app? Assuming I'm remembering correctly than has anyone gotten beta access or is it really that far from launching?
Pretty sure it was full access to the app, minus the stuff in the new battletomes, and maybe, if it's ready the list building software

Okay, so I kinda fell out of playing sigmar for abit, coming back in for 3.0 and looking at sticking with the spooky boys.
List im looking at is 2000 points

Battleline

10 x Chainrasp Horde (80)
10 x Chainrasp Horde (80)
20 x Grimghast Reapers (320)

10 x Bladegheist Revenants (180)
6 x Thorns of the Briar Queen (0)
Behemoths
Mourngul (280)
Total: 2000 / 2000
Extra Command Points: 0
Allies: 140 / 400

So going to try and run this list, had a test game against Beast claw and while I lost, I misplayed with my heros and didn't fall back from combat, so I lost my guardian and vampire, which ment I lost my bladeghiests.
Reapers were bad against ogors but that's not a fault of the unit, I used them as a bait against mournfang

Two, Dire Avengers have been plastic for a good while now, though two out of 8+ isn’t amazing. It’s kind of inherent in having such a wide variety of pretty distinctive unit designs as a core part of the craftworld range (I think you could just about do fire dragons/striking scorpions and maybe warp spiders/dark reapers as dual kits) but it’s been slow going and GW will tend towards the new hotness for new models.
Dire avengers
Crimson hunters
Howling banshees
(Being cheeky) incubi

It can be awesome for sure, but I've found that at tournaments where your opponents will generally be good players, you'll often be screened out of range from shooting any meaningful target. If they don't screen you out then it's a great alpha strike, but the same goes for bridge. I love our flexibility and options
Also, how are you getting 24"? I'm confused there.
Lastly, while Sisters are great, Irondrakes are more efficient in terms of both damage and durability per point.I would say it's 6" from a board edge and 18" weapon range. Which sounds impressive, until you factor the 9" bubble from enemy models, so depending on the deployment type, your opponents army and objective placement, outflanking sisters may not be ideal.
And I don't know about you guys, but the amount of 2s I roll to hit, they need either prince or hurricanium support
