Reckon the 4 characters here are a representation of the good/alive city administration team.
Which have subsequently been turned into evil undead monsters. Hence eye patch halberd skeleton and defiled silenthill grave digger, and from rumour engine the ghoul/vampire knight sward arm. Critters and keys might just be the accountant type bottom left.
The fifth undead Character will probably be the wolf pelt king.

I've put together a list of models that I think we could possibly be seeing for Death, trying to take all the rumour engines and other spoilers into account:
Deadwalker hero and zombies:
Giant bat or gargoyle
Vampire duellists (might be the Underworlds warband)
Deathrattle Hero
Grant Denasty, the fastest man in Vallachia
Foot Vampire knights
Necromancer vampire
New Deathrattle unit?
Centerpiece diorama?
The Creature of Ulvenkarn
Any thoughts?
Prediction or more accurately wishlisting time for undead...
With current info/rumour engines we might be getting:
Gothic vampirates for underwords
Gothic Von Carsteins & accompanying gothic gribblies for Soulblight Gravelords
Flesh eater courts for Warhammer quest. Now that would be amazing...

It's a real pity what they have done here...
There where better ways to fix the issue, ie. make it +1 save for non infantry models only or something...
Baring the cavalry and stalkers that where borderline useful, the catapult and the harvester that were pretty good if list dependent, the rest of the range was pretty lackluster even WITH Petrifix elite.
Arkhan with 3+ save was ok and you didn't hamstring yourself too much taking him, on a 4+ save no thanks, just no, not worth 360pts.
Morghasts and Mortis guard weren't worth it, still arent with point reduction again even if in old PE.
Stalker's or cavalry where situational but an alternative style to infantry and both could see play with a 3+ save and be pretty competitive.
Mark my words... people are not going to like the result of this... the OBR players nor opponents... List are going to come down to something like this...
Allegiance: Ossiarch Bonereapers
- Legion: Petrifex Elite
Mortal Realm: Chamon
Leaders
Mortisan Soulmason (140)
- General
- Command Trait: Mighty Archaeossian
- Artefact: Gothizzar Cartouche
- Lore of Mortisans: Arcane Command
Mortisan Boneshaper (130)
- Artefact: Godbone Armour
- Lore of Mortisans: Empower Nadirite Weapons
Mortisan Boneshaper (130)
- Lore of Mortisans: Drain Vitality
Battleline
40 x Mortek Guard (440)
- Nadirite Blade and Shield
40 x Mortek Guard (440)
- Nadirite Blade and Shield
10 x Mortek Guard (130)
- Nadirite Blade and Shield
Behemoths
Gothizzar Harvester (200)
Gothizzar Harvester (200)
Battalions
Mortek Shield-corps (120)
Endless Spells / Terrain / CPs
Nightmare Predator (40)
Bone-tithe Shrieker (30)Where Stalliarch lords and Petrifix are interchangeable depending if you want rend or run and charge, and Harvesters and catapults depending on meta.
All the list does is move once or twice stand on objectives and goes: come at me bro! then rolls dice and doesnt die for 2 hours...

From rumor thread.
"Putrid Blightkings 140 points
Blightlords 190 points
Plague Drones 190 points
Glottkin 380 points
GUO/Rotigus 320 points
Beast of Nurgle 70 points
Nurglings 80 points
Orghotts, Bloab et Morbidex are staying at 240 points"
I always though kings where one of the best unit in the book even at 160pts... 20 pts off per 5 of them is good i guess... but bloab/Orghott and Morbidex staying same is bit.. perplexing...
Also dont think 10pts will cut it for drones or blight lords always felt they had to be sub 180.
The removal of stacking ward saves and all the realm artifacts will definitely shake up the meta, but i fear these changes are prob net negative and wont do much for Nurgle on the tournament scene even with slight point drops. -

So Honset Wargamer just updated their stats for everything since winter FAQ 16 Dec... and petrifix ossiarchs didnt break the game... like at all... Not even a single first place...

If you play a Chaos army (or want to start) this book is a must-have, detailing a new combined daemon allegiance. Included in the book are loads of new and exciting rules, as well as scenarios to represent some of the 13 unique sub-factions and wild battles of the epic war, with full campaign details if you want to recreate it yourself. You’ll also find updated rules for conducting sieges, plus using roaming monsters and even wandering endless spells in your games.

Hi guys, been collecting all manner of chaos since fantasy days but never actually played tzeentch. With the new book I have been thinking of getting the lasts bits and bobs for the following list.
Last 150pts are for endless spells but havent been able to give that much thought yet. Any suggestions?
Any reasons why the list is a terrible idea and I am crazy?
Allegiance: Tzeentch
Leaders
Gaunt Summoner on Disc of Tzeentch (260)
- General
- Trait: Illusionist
- Artefact: Paradoxical Shield
- Lore of Change: Treason of Tzeentch
Gaunt Summoner of Tzeentch (240)
- Lore of Fate: Glimpse the Future
Fatemaster (120)
Curseling, Eye of Tzeentch (160)
- Lore of Fate: Treacherous Bond
The Changeling (120)
- Lore of Change: Fold Reality
Tzaangor Shaman (150)
- Lore of Fate: Arcane Suggestion
Battleline
20 x Kairic Acolytes (200)
10 x Kairic Acolytes (100)
10 x Kairic Acolytes (100)
Units
6 x Tzaangor Skyfires (400)
Total: 1850 / 2000
Extra Command Points: 0
Allies: 0 / 400
Wounds: 96

The math, according to https://aos-statshammer.herokuapp.com/, nice site btw check it out.
Morghasts are pretty overpriced per damage potential compared to stalkers. Yes the movement is nice but not worth the extra points when considering the additional damage stalkers can do.
if both variants where to get an extra attack with Harbingers getting rerolls to hit and Archi wound on 2+ the damage starts looking very similar.
Id much rather they be worth 210pts than lowering their cost.
So i am definitely in favor of making them better, either offensively as shown above or giving them more wounds and maybe permanent 5++ deathless to make them more resilient, as is they just just dont hit the spot for something that costs 210pts

With the imminent release of DoT do you guys think the 5 tzaangors varieties in the Beast of chaos book will be updated and thus superceded or work on a separate warscroll and point system?

Hmm, I looked at the d6 and moved on, the variance is too great. That being said if you reliably get him swinging 3d6 times that's an average of 10, with the sword of judgement that exploding on fives against heroes I suppose there's merit.. And it's our cheapest aura bubble..But I think I'd rather give the extra attacks to a large unit most of the time. The variance on one model rolling d6 to generate attacks is going to give you just as many whiffs and hot dice, and an average of 3.5 attacks each round isn't great.
If you want a duelist the Warqueen seems a better option to me. Attacks first, with 6 attacks that's only 1 less than the average 7 of 2d6 and if you have a lord around she'll average 2 attacks more than the exalted. Less armour but 1 more wound and going first as compared with 2 activations gives an offensive sort of defense, although she won't be quite as tanky. And you loose on the aura bubble... Hmm, maybe you're on to something? I dunno, the RNG just makes me very cautious when I look at the exalted.
That said, that one game where a 90 point dude gets 18 attacks that explode into d6 wounds and deletes something quadrupedal his worth would be amazing, if I was your opponent I'd ask you to skip the eye of the gods roll and just place down a daemon prince.
Oh i totally agree that he is very very random and swingy. Problem with the queen is she is unmarkable so cant fit in the battalion. Also 90 pts and an artifact gamble is probably worth it as if it fluffs, it isnt like it was a huge investment. His fight twice also doesnt cost a cp like the queens would which makes him pretty independent.
But yeah will surely be a very memorable moment when he rolls hot and dispatches a bloodthirster or a stardrake or even nagash.

D6 attacks 2+ 3+ vs heroes and monsters with 6+ to hit doing d6 MW with sword of judgement. And the ability to fight twice. He has his own 5++ vs mw and then harbinger 5++ vs all wounds so he should also be tougher than one thinks.
Tldr he is the duelist for blending monsters and heroes.
Cant straight drop him either as the battalion requires 8 units of which he is no 8

Thinking of running the following list in my next game, not completely sold on it and would have loved the 2 warrior blocks being 20 each but points rand out and not much to cut especially with trying to stick with the plague touched.
What do you guys reckon?
Allegiance: Slaves to Darkness

Find it, lets say peculiar... that they made kings/lords and lord of plagues unmodified sixes but left blades of putrification unmodified.

Would never play this because I'd probably never be able to face the person again but I call this Brannigan's List after the legendary Captain Zap Brannigan
Allegiance: Host of the Everchosen
Plaguetouched Warband (180)
-Archaon the Everchosen (800) general Lore of the Damned: Mask of Darkness
-Chaos Sorcerer Lord (110) Lore of the Damned:?
-Chaos Marauders (150) x4
-Chaos Spawn (50) x2Daemon Prince of Nurgle 210
2000pt/2000pt
Each turn you send a wave of buffed chaos marauders at the enemy (mask of darkness to teleport 9" away then its only a 1/36 chance to fail charge), and try and tie up as many units as possible. Each 6 to hit against them is d3 mortals back (daemon prince) and each 6 to wound is 1 mortal back (battalion). Every time one dies it can pile in and fight (archaon's command ability).
other options could be replace sorcerer lord for 2 spawns to allow one of the marauder units to go up to 40, or dropping the warband/spawns for more marauders or to add in sayl for an extra teleport attempt,Going to have to try and fit a harbinger of decay in there... some sweet 5+++ for all mortal nurgle units within 7" he's only 160pts...

My biggest gripe is the lack of interaction with god books. There is now literally almost no interaction for s2d units in god armies. God army units still slightly buff s2d though.
But i was hoping for something extra which now sadly seems impossible.
And the fact that the god army units can't be used except as allies in s2d is such a bummer too.
So yeah.. no real incentive for mixing armies either way around makes for a sad panda.
Come to think of it... a very nice solution would have been the stormcast 1 in 4 units thing from cities book but for the 4 god books

Bummer, thought it was NURGLE MORTAL units

Know where I can see them?
It was in the GMG review, could not see precise wording, but he did say it was for both allegiances (which might be wrong though) cant read it sadly

Quick question about the plague touched battalion. Or any of the god ones really.
Its says its for both s2d and "insert god here" alliance. It requires mortal god units.
Does this mean... i can take 7 blightking units and 1 harbinger and take them in the battalion in slaves to darkness army and everyone gains s2d keyword???!!

If the units do indead gain the S2D keyword then everyone benefits from all the buffs for S2D, which is huge incentive to play nurgle in S2D then.
thinking of following list1 160 Harbinger of decay
2 110 Chaos sorceror lord
3 140 festus
4 110 chaos lord
5 300 maruaders
6 320 kings
7 320 kings
8 170 warshrine
140 Grashnak
50 CP
180 Plague touched
2000 Pts
if i am correct... in new slaves to darkness book you could run kings with
3+ rerolling save with 5+++ followed by 6+++
able to get +1 to hit
able to get rerolling hit and wounds
able to get -1 to be hit
able to get 6s to wound does 2 damageable to fight twice
able to make opponent fight last -

Sorry to break it to ya dude, but you misspelled legion of Sacrament on the back of the cards. Other than that this does look amazing!
Yeah caught that and it was fixed in the pdf, i just didn't update the pic.

Hahaha i am curious... how do you imagine that meeting?? As i stated in the first post i have no right to anything, i just made myself some cards from things at hand and thought i'd share.
If you feel im infringing on on GW rights by buying their books and minis then making myself some cards to help me play with and use things i bought from them, meh, then dont use them.

Made some MTG style gaming aid cards for myself and added them to my other death cards on here, if anyone is interested.
Pity there isn't a lot of art for them out there.

Why do a fair few people keep wanting death to be like chaos?
Not the grimdark parody of order but rather machiavellian scheming between superpower people with an aversion to sunlight?
The whole point of death is its inevitability and the singular focus on the twisted order thereof.
Bringing lets say "free will" into it, and making the death factions more autonomous, at the expense of Nagash omnipotent focus takes away the whole point of the faction.
Vampires should not have free will, maybe the illusion thereof? But if they did, there would be no down side to death, vampirisms would for all intents and purposes be a blessing not a curse.
Being dead is being a puppet, they sacrificed their stringless existence for an everlasting one that comes with strings.
Nagash and his actual on the table, rules/model aside, from a narrative perspective death as a faction is fine as far as I am concerned.
Death should be dread, death should be inevitable, death should be singular order, of not quite the type you signed up for on your deathbed.
Nagash on the table top might take advantage out of becoming an avatar or aspect more than the big bad himself on the table though, as for as I am concerned his rules should be even better and he should cost 5000pts, to BE the true death god he is.
