I was looking threw the New Warhammer 40K book and I noticed something that I thought people on this thread might find interesting.  There are is a section on the book where they describe various major battles going on between Chaos and other forces where they talk a little bit about the events and have a little list of the players involved.   In the list the Pestigor Legions are listed multiple times other things too like ,  Redhorn Bloodgors, SporeWalker-Colossal Beast and a Tentacled Behemoth-WarpMonster are all listed for in Korn, Nurgle and Slaanesh army's respectively.

I would say this is a strong hint that both Nurgle and Korn are going to get Tzaangors equivelents and that there might be some big beastys also on the way, all of witch I would bet would be for both 40k and AOS.

What do you guys think of that? If you have the new 40K rule book and want to look it up yourself look on pages 158-167

    Cheers,

    Ratty

I've seen Pestigors on the soon-to-be new Nurgle team Bloodbowl roster as well

I posted the picture on the aos facebook page asking its origin and it was deleted, so obviously they dont want it common kmowledge just yet.

Expect a YouTube video in the coming days

yeah I do think they want it common knowledge, that's why they made an advert for it and released it! Shame it didn't have a release date though!

  3. hi Mark

I mentioned I had to drop out a while ago but never heard back from you, is it possible to get a refund? Had some family commitments that got in the way, I mentioned it about 6 weeks ago. Would really appreciate it if that's ok? Know you've been mega busy organising all this so probs missed my post or something, thanks , J

most likely we will have the rest of Overlords next week.

Nurgle: we will probably get an great unclean one and beasts of nurgle. My store manager said he had seen a nurgle unit that as like a mix between plague drones and blightkings.

The new 40k starter set contains Nurgle Cultists & Drones, the cultists are featured in some videos on the 40 site, but no sighting of the drones yet. Maybe they will be dual AOS/40k kits like Tzaangors were. Would be nice. Even if they aren't will be some nice modelling possibilities there.

I have a feeling there will be a Nurgle Tome, with Mortals/Slaves to Darkness, Rotbringers, Demons in it, same as Tzeentch & Khorne. Pestilens probably won't make it in.

I think the new 40k starter box might be death guard/nurgle vs space marines. Epidemius has been marked as sold out for a while now on the web store, and the rumour pic a while ago looked a bit nurgley. It's all pointing towards a dual AOS & 40k Nurgle month (hopefully). if it's not i'll eat my hat :)

looks like it's deathguard vs ultramarines. June 17th . could bode well for a Nurgle dual release for AOS

  7. My guess is based off what Pete said, 'for more than one reason' so I am holding out for the long rumoured allegiances of the realms pdf update to give all the other existing factions their updates. Stormcast & Khorne Bloodbound both got their shiny newschool battletomes, but I can't see them re-doing Seraphon, Pestilens, Everchosen, Bonesplitters & Beastclaw, so I am hoping all those factions will get an updated set of artifacts, allegiance abilities, spells etc in a Ravening Hordes style pdf .

A new core rules update pdf is also a good call based off the Kharadron tome missing them in the back pages.

It'll most likely just be the new 40k though I expect!

I don't think Forgeworld have quite succeeded in capturing the vibe of AoS yet. The few things they've put out seem very dark, gritty and down to earth - they really need to go more high fantasy and OTT. It used to be that GW proper did the basic stuff and the Forgeworld stuff was absolutely mind blowing by comparison, but now the GW plastics are just so much better than Forgeworld's efforts.

Skaarac was just a recycle of the old K'daai Destroyer model for Chaos Dwarves that never got released as it was mid-way through a re-design.

I don't know about this guy's background but I did meet the designer who made him at the AOS open day. He said it was fun to sculpt some organic material by hand and combine it with some CAD for the hard edges/hard lines, so what you are seeing is probably a hybrid sculpt of hand sculpted work and Zbrush/CG that is 3d printed for the armour and hard bits. That's probably why it's a bit confusing aesthetically. I think the designers are slowly trying out new techniques and learning new ways to make minis. I think you have to look further than the mini's appearance at face value.

With HH dominating FW they don't get to make a lot of stuff, the best way to see more come from them is to support them with your wallet, the more they sell the more they will put resources into AOS.

  9. nope, not mentioned back them, just a new Khorgorath kit which was mentioned last summer coming from GW.

I'd imagine they will go through all the existing ones and update them though, what was the first one out? Must've been STE right? Seraphon and Pestilens were pretty early on?

Wasnt it something like this...correct me if I'm wrong

    Stormcast

    Khorne BB

    Seraphon

    Pestilens

    FLE Courts

    Everchosen

    Extremis Chambers

    BCR

    Sylvaneth

Is Harrow Meat's Hunger not a bit nuts?

If it's both combat phases, which it's kinda worded as, ie your opponents and yours, then yeah it goes up to a possible 14 attacks that hit on a 3+ wound on a 3+ and do 3 damage, so by the end of the game that's like 42 damage!
