Personally I tgink Katakros is better than the sisters procession because the layout of the sisters procession blocks the view of the key components from a lot of angles. Katakros is on top of his Pyramid and everything else is below him. I prefer Karakros for that reason.

It's a really bad problem GW has. You can tell there is a huge disconnect when you listen to playtesters talk about their experiences. Often times they're given the rules and told the base size + rough height of the models. They playtest not having seen any models, just having heard about them secondhand.
The rules are written before the models are even in the prototyping phase..
You can hear about it in the most recent episode of Garagehammer (ep 231) where Alex describes how jarring it was to see the Ossiarch Bonereaper models after having playtested them (they don't like the models, haha).Firstly that quote was not me but me quoting someone else!
Secondly I don't think that it is correct to say the rules are written before the models are seen.
Sure the play testers may not get to see the models but the rules designers will have. If you listen to the stormcast episodes they make it very clear that the rules follow the miniatures in almost every case.
Its entirely natural and normal that playtesters would only get the mechanical information and not see the models themselves. I can't see why they would do it any other way.

it appears like there isn't communication between the model designers and the game designers.
If you listen to the gw podcasts it gives more insight to this.
Sounds like there are times when there's loads of communication throughout the process e.g. When an entirely new faction is released and also times when there is not much communication and the rules designer is presented with a bunch of new models e.g. Shadespire

Mortek crawler for me!

I expect pink horrors to become cheaper but less effective so that they are in line points wise with the other basic daemons, so that it makes sense for Gaunt Summoners to work in Khorne, Nurgle and Slaanesh armies too. At the moment they're summoning 180 points of Tzeentch but much less for the other factions
-
I kindof assume that the next warcry starter set is still a long way out and also, will feature 8 brand new warbands rather than the spire tyrants
-
I'd love to see existing factions get more but I'd also just love to see new stuff
If existing factions get something new, I don't want it to be something similar to what they already have but stuff that really expand their ranges imaginatively

Now I'm making my way through Thieves Paradise this Christmas break.
It would make a great setting for Warhammer Quest!

I've read the book but feel like I didn't understand the ending.
SPOILERS
Is Rayner the same person as Zuvas? I didn't get the connection between them, nor the significance of the Amber amulet thing they share. Nor what happened in the end. Could someone who is not a dunce please explain it to me?
Serves me right for speeding it through it on holiday while partially drunk

I forgot that the Red Feast came out this year. My fav black library book of the year by a country mile!

I really hope Kairic Acolytes get buffed so that they do more than just take up space!

Mine is also Hamilcar but I don't think I've read any other 2019 releases yet as I got so far behind. (I'm halfway through the Shadespire book!)
I've just started listening to The Court of the Blind King and its good so far!!

I agree with Sleboda - there are plenty of smaller sized champions.
Darkoath Chieftan
Neave Blacktalon
Lotann the Soul warden
Etc
(this list is just based on what I've been coveting recently)

Talking of game breaking allegiance abilities, as a Tzeentch player, I'm not saying anything.... Hahaha destiny dice literally break the most core function of a dice game. And I love it!

I actually prefer the lore articles to be like this and just to trade the contents rather than reveal any lore. I like to discover that myself

Why don't you play them again, with all of the above tips, and be sure to post both lists and take pics of deployment and turn moves etc and you might get some useful feedback (this will take quite a lot of work on your behalf tho) .
It's quite difficult to give general feedback on playing the game - but easier to be specific in feedback. That's why there are lots of list changing suggestions because thats eaiser to be specific about.
Of course, the best way to get that feedback is to just play as many games as possible against as many varied opponents as possible and ask them all for honest feedback/critique yourself throughout the game. Going to a tournament is a great way to do that if you've not got enough players locally

I really cannot see any issue with the warcry unit rules for AoS.
They will play extremely quickly.
In addition, they are all cheap chaff but with a single funky ability, and pointed appropriately (particularly if they can be battleline)

I personally much prefer the non-3d style of the previewed animations. The 3d versions look odd

I remember rumours about how well the last chance to buy wood elves went and that they would definitely be back in some form, so it makes some sense in that context
