  1. i always follow WYSIWYG.

With one exception. Warscrolls that have "Any model can be a musician or standard bearer". For me, those units have  those effects always active, because I have seen a guy with a 30 man clan rat unit where everybody was a standard bearer from island of Blood. And it looks silly. But is technically the most tactical thing to do. And as even the champion can be technically champion+standard bearer+musician (I actually have my Bloodkine of my Minotaurs with the standards at their back samurai style), theres no point.

So, as I don't want to punish people because they don't have 30 miniatures all of them with banners and musical instruments, thats where I ignore WYSIWYG.

With units that have "1 in every 10 models can be a standard bearer/musician", for example, then I expect the models to be represented.

  2. After playing Warhammer Total War, and how cool Minotaurs are there (Their charge animations are just beautifull, look them up on youtube), I absolutely agree. I don't make my minotaurs cheaper... I want them more powerfull.  +1 attack, +1 wound per head, and MW on the charge. Thats all they need. Make them 20 points more expensive to compensate per 3, and thats enough.

  3. In preparation for this book I have, at last, built my 10 Mierce Minotaurs+Doombull and tried them in a couple of games. Armed with Great Axes, I have just fallen in love with them. They are so simple, but so cool. They are like Ogres++.

I'm absolutely gonna do a pure minotaur force with this new book. Instead of adding something like a Ghorghon (Because to be honest I don't really like the model), I believe I'm gonna add a little Dragon-Ogre force to support them. I have always loved dragon ogres but I didn't had the opportunity to field them.

Man, this book is gonna bakrupt me.

  4. From WarhammerTV:

The Daughters of Khaine are firmly opposed to Chaos Daniel. Being part of Grand Alliance Order does not make them 'good' in any way shape or form. It simply means that they are not undead, do not worship the Chaos Gods and are not part of the more savage races of the Mortal Realms.

For people that still has that question about why are they part of Order.

You can even field the Khainite statue that usually stands atop the Shrine as a separate unit, representing an iron Avatar of Khaine.

I was just thinking about this possibility the past week :D So, if you build the Cauldron, you can have the Medusae by herself, and if you build the altar with the Medusae, you can use the Statue of Khaine as his own unit!

Or you can build the Cauldron without the statue and, from one box, have one Cauldron, one Iron Avatar of Khaine, one Meduase and the Witch elf hero that comes with the kit!

    I think it's a photoshop error ;)

As for GW having lofty claims about how Shadespire is the "ultimate" competitive miniatures game, I think it will be. From what I've seen, it ticks many boxes and seems to be aware about the audience it will be catering for. Time will tell but I think it will get that title (plus what other competitive miniature games do you know of apart from Warmahordes?).

X-wing? But nobody can blame GW for marketing his game as the "ultimate" competitive game.

What people expect them to say? "Nah, its a pretty mediocre game , but, is fun, I suppose. Buy it, please."? :D

  7. I love hordes. I don't have plans to paint anymore hordes, I had enough with my greenskins and my marauders and bloodreavers hordes in AoS. But my most favourite unit in warhammer has always been your "Basic joe".

Dragon Princes of Caledor? Chaos Lord on Manticore? Bah! Give me a horde of boar boyz to paint and customize! This is about armies. I hate hero/elite-hammer.

  8. The Magmadroth cost now 65€ (because if you buy it separate they send you the SC box).

Down 20€ from 85€ that it costed before. Is this the first time GW does a straigth down cost reduction without reboxing it, making the box more expensive overall but lower per model (stormcast style)?

And people say that voting with your wallet is useless!

  9. I'm the only one that loves the mutated minotaur plastic miniatures?

Anyone? Maybe is because I read the White Dwarf where they show the new beastmen army and loved the explanation of why they did the not-hooves feets for them... more "Those are mutated beast, not a fuctional race with his own biology"

Ok I'll go back to my cave...

We know that plastic moulds are super expensive. Hence the complete lack of "special" models in the last 10 years. No anniversary, limited run (Storm of Chaos), event-exclusive stuff, because GW proper wanted to go 100% plastic and limited runs can't support that. We have seen them change their minds here though, as there have been loads of them the last 2 years. Notably though, they're all in resin. Resin molds are super cheap comparitively.

A Nurgle book would undoubtably include either Pestilens directly, or at the very least a Pestilens artifact/spell lore/command trait section.

As much as I hate Finecast, if the option is between 0 special models, or resin special ones (Like the MIGHTY AND GLORIOUS  Slambo, Veridian, or Grombindal) my choice is obvious.
