Does anyone know a good, and simple to
navigate around, site or forum where one can find rumors about Orktober and the Speedfreaks game? It’s 10 days away and as far as I know they are silent like the grave about those releases.
Just PM me so we don’t risk messing around with this thread.
Sorry in advance for asking such a blasphemous question in here but since I care not for Warhammer40K I have no idea where to go.

The soon to release Azyrite buildings appear to have full walls. Though not exactly the LEGO set one could hope for, it still opens some customization options.

Now I know many of you don’t care much about the Lord Executioner and the Executioner Horde battalion and since I don’t care much for tournements I might be all noob about this but have any of you considered arming the Lord Executioner with the Blade of Endings? Combined with the EH battalion that turns the LE into a mean fella with 3 attacks at+2 dam for each 5+ to hit or 6 to wound? Combine that with Lady Olynder’s spell and its 4+ to hit.
Not sure about the math here but the Blade of Endings alone gives him a max damage output of 24! At rend -2.
In all fairness the max damage hit probably happen on the samme day you accidentaly stumble upon a million bucks left and forgotten while someone discovered a cure for cancer and a simple solution on how to end global warming just by getting rid of mosqeetoes and printers. On that very day your boss will award your employee of the month and your girlfriend will tell your that she always wanted you to kiss with her twinsister. However none of this won’t steal you away from that special moment when a simple 80pt Lord Executioner murdered 12 Stormcast in a single combat!

On the topic of AOS rumors..
A while back maybe it was before last Warhammer fest there was some rumors about a second set of Azyrite ruins. Whatever happend to that? Or did I mistake something.. Can’t really remember how it was.

Am I the only one who thinks that some days this thread is a lot similar to the movie: Groundshog day?
The tread goes:
GW: Next hype train will be leaving in a few days.
us: “whoo who this will be totally awesome! It’s guarranteed to be _________, I’ve felt it in my soul for months and even my fortune cookie told me that ______ will get a new updated________”.
AFTER THE EVENT
Us: “I am so dissapointed I feel like selling my 1000000pt army just to stick it to GW. GW hates me and they will never update my army just to anoy me”.
Also Us: “Now there calm down sonnyboy. Back when I was a wee lad they only realeased a single new mini on the first morming of christmas every year. You kids don’t know how to appreciate what you have”.
Us again: “please everyone this thread is about rumors! Not wishes, wants or tips on how to feed your cat”.
Us also: “But there are no rumors and hoping for tinkerbell to update my army is also kind of a rumor.. kinda..”.
Then some would be funny guy writes something like this and gets a time out by the moderators.
GW: uh everyone next hype train will arriwe in a few weeks.
Us: woooohooo THIS will be totally aweso....

Speedfreaks... speedfreaks... please show more about speedfreaks... oh and some AOS as well. But even if they show nothing AOS for the rest of this year I will remain very impressed about the focus AOS has had in 2018!

The executioners horde battalion makes the lord executioner a bit more interesting to use specially in smaller games. It boost the LE, makes him harder to snipe and provide us with extra artifacts and command point. Even in a 1000pt army I can bring the battalion.

Yeah! The Ghystrike artifact really brought the Lord of Plague into the game for me. That guy has taken many by surprise. He doesn’t look like much and can easily stay out of the heat. Once he get in he can punish even the biggest monsters and heroes with a bit of luck and if he dies its still only 140pt, not like your masterplan fell apart.

So back on the topic.. how cone the Shyish Reaper is that much weaker than the Pendoulum? Oh let’s not forget the Reaper also comes with a larger base making it much harder for it to cross units during its move..

Maybe I just don’t get it but can anyone find any reason to include the Shyish Reaper instead of the Aethervoid Penduloum? Both cost 40pt and are somewhat similar in there way of making damage and move, but the Reaper is harder to cast and much weaker. Am I missing something here or does the Shyish Reaper need a rewrite or update or something?

Wait what now? Wyld woods ALSO have the citadel woods rule?! Has this been confirmed? We played our woods as eonly one or the other so we had to choose before setup if the scenery was a citadel wood or a wyldwood.

Man I hope next week will bring some news about the rumored large Azyrite ruins. After we just finished our Ghyran table we are about to start working on a Shyish option andaset of intact walls could really provide some building options.
Since GW is trying to push realmbattles as a thing it makes little sense that all official scenery still availeable is reduced to Warscryer Citadel/Skullvane Manse, Arcane Ruins, and citadel woods. Great pieces but unless you go and buy a ton of each your building options are pretty sparse. Our Ghyran table put a lot of money into various aquarium stores. I much rather spend that money on official stuff..

Man I do not hope so. That will be a very serious change. Speed will become extremely important and combat phases will be more boring for the defending player. I always like the stratigic dilemma one phases whenever you made two important charges in the same charge phase and it leaves you with a hard decesion to make.

Nice but why does it always have to be ruins. For almost as long as I can remember 80-90% of the official scenery for AOS, warhammer fantasy or 40 has been ruins more or less similar to these. It’s a nice design but as always the first thing we are gonna se from displays and in WD is complete buildings made from many combined sets of these and other ruins. Why not just make some more undamaged structures? Or at the very least bring back the old ones (Witchfate tor, that massion and the tower)? So very hard and extremely expensive to build cities of the mortal realms when all the scenery portray rubble.

Well no but since its the famous GW hypetrain you really can’t be sure that it really is impressive. May I remind everyone about the Malign Portents countdown. That being said I am as eager as anyone to see what the fuzz is about but if past experiences have taught me anything it is to not get excited before we know for sure that something is actually up.

With the release of the Warscryer Citadel i last month, does anyone know anything or have any thoughts on whether we will see re-releases of dreadstone Blight, Withfate Tor and the remaining similar sets? Lately they have been appearing repainted in videoes And White Dwarf magazines but nothing have been mentioned I guess.

Im really unsure if I would even like a new starter.
I mean sure the rules needs a bit of an update but if AOS 2 takes us back to a time where you had to refresh your army and buy a new book every 3 or so year then I seriously doubt that I will stick around for long. That was one of the main reasons I left wfb 15 years ago. AOS is a great system and whatever changes we might need, might as well come as changes for the GHB.

I am looking forward to see if the legions of nagash tome also has some kind of alternative summoning rules as I suspect the summoning rules might get changed into this new system seen in the MoN book.

Yeah Im totally puzzled about this. Just checked the Nova article from the community again to see if Orktober was mentioned at all or if I/we just went on the hype a little too fast and still I believe that it sounds like october is the greenskin (probably only 40k) month. Yet the WD preview shows nothing even mentioning, new orks, speedfreaks or Orruks.
So I guess Orktober is already now narrowed down to the last week of the month. With kill team and more Nighvault taking up the contents of the White Dwarf and not a single greenskin mentioned on the cover.. This is very strange to me.
