  1. I love that they keep making the battletomes better buys, just wish they could retroactively fix the old ones. Excited to see what the new format is. I'd love to buy a battletome but the value just hasn't been there for me yet, even with the addition of lores/traits etc.

  2. I love the FEC/Bonesplitterz/Beastclaw approach and hope they keep doing it. I'm as or more excited for the old models to get rebased and re-envisioned as I am for entirely new armies. The only dream I have is they would make sure plastic options are available for heroes and such. Turns me off the Bonesplitterz with their resin/metal heroes.

  3. Man, I really want the plastic Skaven weapon teams from that set. Pretty cool thing for them to do. Gives me the feeling they're going to edit the old aelves factions a bit in 2017 and have it make more sense. They over-factionized elves in the first Order book I think.

  4. I wonder if there was a change of schedule behind the scenes and the AoS Tzeentch stuff wasn't ready to go yet in its entirety, so they moved the 40k Tzeentch up, hence the big AoS release gap and strange reappearance of Tzaangors. Who knows though.

I saw on another forum that the battleforces are going to be limited? Ugh! Tough decisions ahead...

  5. Keys make me think of Fyreslayers/dwarfs, but I don't know much about 40k. Arm quite strange. Wonder if it's from upcoming Tzeentch-Steamhead box and is a Tzeentch character of some sort taunting the duardin with some of their keys. Small arm though considering the size of the sprue plastic. No clue really but looks pretty neat. Also looks like I'd break it cutting it out of the sprue and filing it.

  6. GW has been doing a lot of funny stuff with their packaging ever since AoS hit. The description on the site doesn't even acknowledge the shields on the sprues, and it looks like the box doesn't acknowledge the obvious AoS use for the models either. Why do that, and why put in the extra cost to make two boxes, if they go that route? Few other similar examples in the last year and a half. Just a bit bizarre but I like the tzaangors!

  7. I've found the new GW plastics aren't fun, for me at least, to put together. Even though the old stuff made perhaps worse models, I'm still nostalgic for being able to pose the arms and such in wild ways. Nowadays it seems like everything is assembly by the numbers. It feels like work to me, and gluing the guys together used to be my favourite part. Tangent anyway.

I'm hoping we get some word on whether the battleforce boxes will be permanent or not. They are such great deals, would be incredible if they stuck around.

Yes they've big spikey necks collars, all bare heads and the 2 hander has a pose you can't get with ardboyz. Nice box then! I will not be getting it until I have finished painting all my ogors sometime around 2059

The Stormcast one looks like a very, very nice saving too> 10 liberators (not the monopose), venator/azyros, Celestant Prime, 2 Dracothian Guard, 5 Paladins that I can see.

That's a must have for anyone even just looking for dracoths and the prime.

Nice! That box and the Sylvaneth are incredible value.

  9. At this point I'm expecting they're waiting until they redo the Grand Alliance books to put allegiances in for the factions that don't have them yet. That way they can do them all at once, plus other ones, and give a little more reason to buy the GA books, which though I bought two I regretted very quickly after considering how fast they go out of date.

Can't wait to hear about sales and bundle deals. Black Friday last year was a nice start before the Start Collecting stuff in January. I have a feeling there is going to be some good deals this year.
