Local Tournament is over and I went 3:0.
    Finished 3rd place

First game vs Bonereaper, opponent threw  turn three.

Second vs Khorne, opponent surrendered after turn two.

Third game VS Gravelords, we couldn't finish the game. We simulated the last turns for a 24:21 in my favor.

      This was my list

Army Faction: Disciples of Tzeentch   - Subfaction: Eternal Conflagration   - Grand Strategy: Master of Destiny LEADERS
Kairos Fateweaver (440)*   - Spells: Fold Reality
    Fatemaster (160)*
Gaunt Summoner of Tzeentch (230)*   - General   - Command Traits: Daemonspark   - Artefacts of Power: The Eternal Shroud   - Spells: Fold Reality   - Aspects of the Champion:  Tunnel Master

    BATTLELINE
Flamers of Tzeentch (570)*   - Pyrocaster Kairic Acolytes (120)*   - Cursed Blade and Arcanite Shield   - Scroll of the Dark Arts   - Vulcharc   - 3 x Cursed Glaive and Arcanite Shield Kairic Acolytes (120)*   - Cursed Blade and Arcanite Shield   - Scroll of the Dark Arts   - Vulcharc   - 3 x Cursed Glaive and Arcanite Shield

    OTHER

Exalted Flamers of Tzeentch (130)* Furies (90)*

ENDLESS SPELLS & INVOCATIONS 1 x Burning Sigil Of Tzeentch (60) 1 x Umbral Spellportal (80) CORE BATTALIONS *Battle Regiment TOTAL POINTS: 2000/2000

What if anything do you use to protect the flamers? do they just teleport up with the gaunt and kill anything that would hit them back?

  2. Im surprised people aren't running more daemon focused lists- maybe the pinks are a barrier to entry but pinks with a Dameon hero nearby is -1 to hit then if you go with flamers as your damage dealer unit and have the Fatemaster (+1 wound buff) and exalted flamer (+1 attack to flamer units nearby) all of that wrapped up in the -1 rend subfaction things start getting real interesting.  Add the purple sun on top of all that (throw it into their line with arcane sacrifice) and you have a pretty potent house of cards!

    Timeline predictions y'all!

We know that 10th edition is on it's way and almost assuredly coming on June 24th. Multiple sources have hinted at this... including the UK Post Office. With that we have a pretty tight timeline leading up to that release and considering the next month + will be devoted to 40k releases. If the release is on the 24th it will have a minimum 2 week announcement period.

Assuming we're getting 7 new kits in total for Seraphon based off of what we can gleam from the plaques and emjois the Old One Whitefang has left us. If they do one a week and then announce an army box

The Seraphon Army box should be announced the 5th of March for pre-order with a release of March 18th 2023.

Products that still need to release -
    Arks of Omen - Vashtorr
    -Boxset Dark Angels vs. Vashtorr
    Arks of Omen - Farsight
    -Boxset(?) with Farsight vs. Snikrot
Arks of Omen - The Lion
    -Leonard Johnson release

    Boxset Spacemarine missile launchers

    Boarding Patrols
    -Boarding Patrol: Necron
    -Boarding Patrol: Tyranids
    -Boarding Patrol: Grey Knights

Warhammer Underworlds - DoK again I guess

    Last Warcry Boxset

    Battletome: Kharadron Overlords
    -New KO mini
    Battletome: Blades of Khorne
    -New BoK mini
    Battletome: Hedonites of Slaanesh
    -New HoS mini
    Battletome: Ossiarch Bone-Reapers
    -New OBR mini
    Battletome: Soulblight Gravelords
    -New SBG mini(?)

    Battletome: Seraphon
    -Launch box
    -release wave

This probably some other stuff I'm forgetting needs to be fit in within the next 15 weeks so probably going to be wild.

    Feb 25th -
    March 4th -
    March 11th -
March 18th - Seraphon Launch box
    March 25th -
April 1st - Fimir full range release
    April  8th -
    April 15th -
    April 22nd -
    April 29th -
    May 6th -
    May 13th -
    May 20th -
    May 27th -
    June 4th -
June 4th - 40k 10th two week pre-order announced. No new AoS or any other release until the wave of 40k stuff is done
    June 24th - 40k 10th edition launch

Just some thoughts trying to plot out the rest of Winter/Spring releases.

What is that word on Fimir? Are they really coming back in April?

Personally I have always been pretty comfortable with the idea of Cities vs Cities infighting. Just because I figure the Cities of Sigmar are the closest thing in the Mortal Realms to the countries and city states of earth. So they can fight each other for all the reasons people have historically gone to war with each other in the real world.

A few of the Cities went to war with eachother in a big way in the AoS novel "God's Bane"

  5. I was running the Horrorghast in a bravery debuff list with Archaon and Brave debuff friends 2nd Circle Varangaurd.  PLus all the other -1 bravery banners.  Getting the horrorghast out is pivotal and against any spell dom army (my opponent was Thanqual) that tactic quickly crumbled.  But if you can make sure it goes off it could be good... just didnt happen for me

  6. Ravagers seems pretty potent in this new GHB.  The ability to march onto the edges with marauders in order to grab many of the battle tactics and objectives seems real strong. Endless spell horrorghast combined with all the -1 bravery debuff banners among our units seems like a good combo.  Expert conqueror chaos warriors seem good too.

This is my current Conflagration list that I want to drop once I've had my fill of goats. I am really trying to prove that mortal units aren't so bad, and have been doing quite well with both Pyrofane Cult and now Transient Form. Although I have yet to face dragons, which I understand just deletes Tzeentch anyway.

Battalions: Battle Regiment, Command Entourage (extra artifact), 4 drops, 15 point bid for Triumph: Inspired

Changecaster - Artifact: Aura of Mutability, Spell: Bolt of Change

    Fatemaster - General: Coruscating Flames

Kairos Fateweaver - Spell: Tzeentch's Firestorm

Magister - Artifact: Shroud of Warpflame, Spell: Glimpse the Future

The Blue Scribes - Spell: Fold Reality

    10x Pink Horrors

    6x Flamers of Tzeentch

    6x Flamers of Tzeentch

    Endless Spell: Umbral Spellportal

Main issue I see with the list is that it really wants to move in one block with Horrors upfront, flamers on the flank, and all the heroes (except blues and Kairos) in the middle. That means all the daemons are -1 to hit in range and melee, and are re-rolling to hit and to wound.  With all out attack on the horrors for first turn, that's an average of 19 D1 and 25 D3 wounds, all at -1 rend. This is assuming the flamers are only hitting on 4s.

It really strikes me as similar to my Pyrofane shooting list, with more damage output but with a smaller footprint and fewer scoring tools.  It also generates fewer fate points, but should have 12 by turn 2 to summon an exalted flamer.

How did this list play out if I may ask?

  8. Is there any synergy with having a tzeentch Curseling in a Cabalist Std List? I know the blue scribes work well but was wondering if the Curseling brings anything to the table outside of his warscroll abilities to the army.  Does he get the benefit of the pluses to cast from the cabalist allegiance ability? And he cannot take abilities or artifacts since he is an ally correct?
