If I can swing back to the Malign Portents story, this isn't the first time we've heard of cog forts, no? What if like the Kharadron, Humans in the setting are made to be more deliberately steampunk, except where the KO use ships and such, the Freeguild/Ironweld utilize constructs and walkers?

I agree with this.  Wherever they discuss technology in the AOS context it tends to seem more steampunk influenced.  Like the huge walker city the Skaven have and the numerous other mentions of potential flying factions. Not sure how I feel about this but definitely seems to be the way things are going.

Actually I think from that the sea elves are the first (that somehow went astray/wrong/got lost - Atia's French so her translation may not be 100%) elves 'recreated' by Teclis, the Idoneth.

That makes more sense a lost experiment by Teclis with an Atlantis feel. Could be cool.

  3. I am not sure about the ruins. Honestly I find them a little boring.  Most of the previous AOS terrain has had oodles of flavor.  These seem a little bland.  If I wanted this type of stuff I would just go with the Hobbit kit, has more vertical levels.

The guy (temouloun) that told us about Custodes and TS in november and about DoK has spoken:

This is an actual piece of scenery GW is going to sell, and that will have its own rules like the Sylvaneth Wyldwood. It's part of the entire Sea Aelves new range, which are absolutely stunning visually, will have tons of sea creatures to ride, one of which is MASSIVE, and unique high cost heroes with crazy design. Also forget about the Cthullu look, their design is closer to bad-ass Atlantean Spartans.

Some of the High Elves had a sea theme (Sea Guard and the the other Lothernmodels) as well as the Dark Elf Corsair stuff. I could see them rolling these all together with some new models for a big release.  Would be cool.  But who are they tied to, Tyrion, Teclis or big Mal? Guess we will see.

  5. “Battletome: Legions of Nagash is designed  to make sure that Death players have just as many options as their counterparts. Inside, you’ll find the warscrolls for every single Death model (so far)

This was a comment on facebook from the Age of Sigmar guys about the Ghouls and how they would relate to the Nagash book.

"The Flesh Eater courts have a complicated relationship with the Lord of Death, and while they do fight alongside other Death warriors, they aren't part of Nagash's shambling undying legion"

These two thing seem to contradict each other.  Every single death model, does that not include ghouls? Will be interesting to see if the ghouls get any love at all.

With this much lead up, it looks like it will be quite a bit bigger than Blightwar, especially since every GA is getting at least 1 new hero.

Let the guessing begin.  The Order one will probably be Stormcast.  For Destruction I would lean Ironjawz. Chaos could be about anything but I am going to say Skaven, because that is what I want.

  7. I love the Brass Orb for Clan Skyre:

You can use this artifact once per battle, in your shooting phase.  When you do roll a dice.  On a roll of 6 or more, the closet enemy model within 6" of this model is slain.

Harkens back to the randomness/craziness of the Skaven.  I can not wait until this thing kills a Stonehorn for me.  It might take me a few tries but I assure you it shall happen.  (Also I am still holding out hope that one of the other items is a Doom Rocket).

  8. So what can we infer from this aesthetic?  They seem more like old VC skeletons than more down the road to Tomb Kings or a Death Lords look.  Overall I like the sculpts just not what I was expecting.

I told you: best case scenario, wednesday reveal; worst case: friday teaser. Though that is assuming 18th preorder. If 25th preorder, i would not expect anything on  primarch release week.

I just can not believe Nottingham is this locked down leaks wise.  A big release this close and still nothing in the wind.  GW spymasters hard at work.
