  1. That's an interesting point about the box name, especially for potential new players.

Didn't really think about it much because I was already into AOS and more concerned about the models, but the word Dominion makes me think of Star Trek (more specifically, watching Deep Space Nine with my dad).

I'm not sure I could make good predictions for a Skaven refresh, but I'm super pumped that one might be in the works!

so they'll still honor the order then and ship to the US?

Yes, they'll ship to the US. The shipping can get pretty expensive from what I understand. I guess it jumps up a lot at a certain package weight, but that isn't from personal experience.

Shipping wasn't given at checkout, but they sent an email later with the amount and only confirmed and charged the order after I replied.

  3. I just got an email back on my order from Forbidden Planet for shipping. I ordered #1 together with a preorder for #5 and it ended up being about 20 USD shipping for both of them together to the States.

I didn't think about it but it might have cost less if I didn't end up with a split order. Their site says they ship stuff as available but will only charge shipping once.

I mean the Warcry warband for Soulblight in Bloodhunt are vampires who hunt predators in Ghur to drink their blood and resist their bestial nature. So it could well be them. Or a warband from the next Underworlds set.

Fair enough. I think I was just assuming monk themed vampires wouldn't be led by a count but it's not like we know their names or anything. Gotta say both Bloodhunt warbands are really cool regardless.

If it's an Underworlds set instead I'm excited to see, but I'm a sucker for Vampire stuff.

  5. I want new Ironjawz but would definitely be up for a warcry warband.

I'm kind of wondering what if anything is going on with Count Moltaire's Bloodhunt. Not that all of these map icons have to be warbands, but it seems weird to have gotten a boxset called Bloodhunt without them.

  6. Loving that Warcry box. I wonder if a new single box warband will be out by the time it goes on sale. It would take something like a FEC warband to delay me buying Bloodhunt.

I like the feathered raptors. I can't tell if their heads look a little small or it's just the big crests making them look that way. Probably too many watches of Jurassic Park when I was little. 😅

I mean I hope they’re at least a brand new hero that comes out with the Snarlfang.

and this is not the one time GW decides to become inconsistent with how they release stuff.

Fans: can we get more units for some of these book release, why is it always foot heroes?

GW: sure thing Fam, monkey paw curls you get the new unit instead of the hero model.

It would be still be annoying, especially in cases like this where it's a completely different subfaction than the rest of the army, but I kind of think 1 unit each book would be an improvement over 1 foot hero.

If Skaven replaced old units 1 per year or 2 I'd buy them.

Wow I am so impressed by that AOS cosplay!

I think that more fan community material like that would help grow Age of Sigmar dramatically. Unfortunately I have a lack of confidence, ability, funds and looks to pull off a cosplay... Then again if they reintroduce Throgg the Troll King I already have the face for it!

I'm waiting for Grom the Paunch to come back for my cosplay.

  9. Hey everyone,

I've been planning a Soulblight army for a year now, or much longer going back to my first skeleton. Animosity IV started and I'm using it at the kick in the pants I need to get some painting done. I'll be posting my army as it grows here.

I'm starting off with my necromancer, Nyssa, some zombies and if I can finish this week a couple skeletons and am going to be adding models each week.

Here they are after a night's painting. I am painfully slow. My necromancer has glowing purple eyes to represent her harnessing of the Shyish magic and not at all because I tried and failed to paint eyes on her. That would be preposterous.

I painted, shaded and highlighted the main parts of the models but hopefully tonight and tomorrow I can work on the details that make them alive...err...not alive, but more animated, anyway.

Hopefully in a few weeks I'll have a force to make Nagash proud.

  10. Favorite author is a tough one to answer as it changes frequently but for AOS specifically Josh Reynolds is up there.

If I can include The World That Was into the mix it would have to be CL Werner. I've enjoyed his AOS books that I've gotten to read but his Thanquol books and Brunner omnibus are the ones that I've reread the most and had a huge impact on my interaction with Warhammer Fantasy and later AOS as a setting.

The Brunner omnibus would narrowly edge out a few other books as my favorite.

Would be because he hadn't been released on his own yet.

Makes sense, but they seem to have made an exception for some sets like the individual teams from the Octarius set and the Combat Patrol only Ork stuff*.

No big deal. I found something else I liked to vote for. I just really liked the Wight King.

    * Now outdated, Ork box was split into single sets on the community page today.
