I'd love to see this updated with something saying you need a clear line of sight with no models or terrain in the way. I think then it would make movement even more important.
To me, there is no 'spirit of the rules', either it is, or it isn't a rule.
There should not be guessing in what a rule is or isn't.

You say "three styles of play" like anyone who is worried about power of new books or missing battalions is effected in Open or Narrative play. You can use what you want and do what you want anyways.
Matched play is the reason for AoS popularity on the internet. Matched play is why people on this forum write hundred page threads on Sylvaneth. Matched play is why there is a 200 player event coming up.

I expected point changes for sure. I didn't expect complete removal of battalions. I guess I should have!
Also, my time line is a bit messed up. I do know I got the army days before the army book was announced. So I DIDN'T know change was coming... I bought the army before Waaaghpaca for Adepticon but I assembled it in the last 2 weeks.

The point changes and battalion's not being given points is not a big deal to me. The changing of the warscrolls for models does. If you bought the Vexillor for the teleport, now depending on who you play with the model doesn't do that. They could have just upped his point cost.
I bought and assembled an entire army in the last 2 weeks based on units and a battalion that no longer do what they did a week ago.

I was telling people about this last week (I watch Twitch for more than Warhammer), it really is great if you already have / are thinking about Amazon Prime.
Although now my Australian WoW/Diablo 3 streamer buddy is no longer getting my Prime subscription.
