Is this more or less what a decent list should look like then? Are any of the battalions worth it?

It's okayish if you like bull centaurs. Most of the time im making tau'ruk a general. I think i never fielded castellan and bsb. I would swap them and deathsrieker for skullcracker and third magma.

I thought magma cannons need line of sight? Is this April fools? Or are you talking about literal weapon facing like older 40k? I’m so confuzzled

I think magma was mistaken with deathsrieker

Hey guys I have been toying with the idea of starting this army. The list of available models isn’t very large so I came to ask:

what units are staple must haves and what units are total n00b traps for people who have never played Chaos Dwarves.

Are the Bull Centaurs good? Any of the artillery pieces? The regular sword and board infantry? Do you have any real hammer units? Would allying in for hammers be worth it?

Fireglaves and ironsworn are your battlelines so you always start with them, most of the  time i use them in 30 ironsworn 2*10 fireglaves or 3*10 fireglaves configuration. You will never go wrong buing 2+ magmas, tau'ruk and demonsmith. Also i dont remember playing without Drazhoath. Bull centaurs in my opinion lost their potential with the loss of -2 rend and tau'ruk charge after run ability. My biggest concern with loa is their speed and that our machines rarerly score on not our objectives, on killpoints i they can be equal with all armies. I really hope they will change scoring from number of models to number of wounds on on objective.

So I'm considering making a Gloomspite Gits army.  I like it to be so competitive as possible.

Question 1: Are Gloomspite Gits competitive?

Question 2: Stabbers, Spiders, trolls or squigs army?

Question 3: Would a troll army be good? and what trolls are best?

Question 4: Competitive list ideas are welcome. :)

    Thanks.

Ad.1 Competetive but not top tier.

    Ad.2 Grots and squigs.

Ad.3 Pure trolls. I think not but thats only personal point of view

Sadly, scuttleboss ability has changed. His command ability doesn't move wounds to 5+ anymore, it lets you run and charge.

I used one in my first game and with the Fang and monstrous mount he was indeed quite killy but then he just died on his own. He is definitely not resilient and quite easy to one-shot

For 100 points he is one of the more killy chars anyway, my best roll was 24 mortals.

  8. Need advice with the list. So we hawe here over 100 ****** bow shots that should take care with screen units, potential to inflict 100+ mortals, 2 ways to make enemy units strike last, spell that if not dispeled can "block" choke points and cripple hordes, almost all army ignore terrain and i can try to teleport a unit. Squigs are mostly to secure some backline objectives.

    Allegiance: Gloomspite Gitz
    Mortal Realm: Hysh
    Scuttleboss on Gigantic Spider (100)

Webspinner Shaman on Arachnarok Spider (300)
    - Artefact: Totem of the Spider God
    Fungoid Cave-Shaman (90)
    - Artefact: Aetherquartz Brooch
    20 x Spider Riders (400)
    20 x Spider Riders (400)
    5 x Spider Riders (100)
    6 x Squig Herd (70)
    6 x Squig Herd (70)
    Arachnarok Spider with Flinger (270)

Im really stumped on what artefact to take on my Mangler Boss in my LGS' 1250pt league. Non of the weapons are really good on him as he doesnt have rend and multiple damage as standard. So theses are the ones i have narrowed it down to: Ethereal Amulet, Gryph Feather Charm, Thermalrider Cloak, Hydroxskin Cloak, Greenglade Flask and Betrayer's Crown.

Out of all of them i leaning more towards the Thermalrider Cloak and Betrayer's Crown..... The reason being is that the Thermalrider Cloak gives + 4" movement which is huge on a Mangler Squig, with a run he is averaging 18" of movement, 21" when affected by a Loonboss on Giant Cave Squig's command ability. This will allow him to deploy out of range of most spells and ranged weapons. The Betrayer's Crown just nukes hordes, he can clip a horde or be within 3" of that unit, make them shank each other and then smush the bigger threat he is engaged with, then with Fight another Day he can disengage the combat making him immune to retaliation during our combat phase, unless you roll poorly vs Sisters of Slaughter or other units that pile in 6". So im quite stuck on what to choose, i dont think he needs a defensive artefact, just something that enhances his capabilities.

    What are your opinions guys?

Originally i was going to take the Backstabber's Blade but you still need to wound with it which is quite off putting and it still only deals 1 damage...

    -1 to hit

Hey guys, I'm just wondering why boinggrots and hoppers doesn't have "grot" keyword. :(

(It makes these unit can't hide fanatics)

Most other units (like mournfang) have both keyword.

I think GW just missed it. What do you think?

    99810209013_SquigHoppersNEW01.jpg

I think becouse it would be not logical to fanatics hiding in squig units.

  12. Hello, my army is slowly painting itself. Currently it will look like that

    Allegiance: Beasts Of Chaos
    - Greatfray: Gavespawn
    Beastlord (90)
    Great Bray Shaman (100)
    Great Bray Shaman (100)
    Tzaangor Shaman (180)
    40 x Ungors (200)
    - Shortspears & Half-Shields
    10 x Ungors (60)
    - Mauls & Half-Shields
    10 x Ungors (60)
    - Mauls & Half-Shields
    20 x Bestigors (240)
    10 x Bestigors (120)
    40 x Ungor Raiders (320)
    6 x Tzaangor Enlightened on Disc(280)
    1 x Tuskgor Chariots (60)
    Desolating Beastherd (150)
    Geminids of Uhl-Gysh (40)

    Total: 2000 / 2000
    Extra Command Points: 1
    Allies: 0 / 400
    Wounds: 181

Many tests before me. Ill try allheard for sure to test how good summoning can be.

  13. You think you hawe bad battalions?, try chaos dwarf ones. They give nothing you could get from heroes you must include in them. As aos is game of winning by board controlling most of the times i hawe problems with it, they as army hawe punch but it comes from the machines and they are poor at controlling them. Most of my games i always delete 3/4 of enemy army but he hawe such advantage on points that most of the time it not matters.

    What product is this?

Also guys I am looking for some pics I think they were posted by @Ben of a fantastic army in Warhammer World (I think the quote was something like spotted some legion out in the wild) that used micro art studio bases, I love the idea but was curious to see bases for things like the Taurus...  I've been through the thread twice now and can't seem to find them anywhere?

    This one is selfmade.

Hey everyone, I'll be playing a few 1000 points games in the next weeks and I need help for the last points.

My list is currently 1 demonsmith, 2x10 ironsworn, 2 daemon engines and 2 magma cannons, which leaves 80 points free. My first draft of the list had 2x10 fireglaives but I really didn't know what to do with 60 points since I can't take 10 marauders anymore.

I was thinking about adding either 10 kairic acolytes as a meat shield, a chaos chariot (though it's way worse than the one with the gorebeast), a seeker chariot for the speed or the mask of Slaanesh. I'm not that interested in an additional CP since I don't have a command ability.

    Third ten ironsworn
