  1. He also reacted to a comment of mine that only referred to Darkoath, so that part should be on the money at least.
  2. This is a great shout and would make a lot of sense.
  3. Gitz, Fyreslayers, Nurgle, FEC, Ironjawz are all already included, so that leaves 7+ to go. Sylvaneth and Khorne have both been heavily implied to have further involvement in the upcoming books and it would almost be more surprising if Stormcast didn't get anything. Assuming those guesses are correct, there's still another 4 or more armies that should see something. For those who have been reading the lore in the books closely, have there been any other strong hints as to who might become involved in the narrative down the line? Edit: I could see Skaven getting something, as a precursor of sorts to the expected range refresh.
  4. That... can't be right, surely? Baffling design choices from GW are nothing new though I suppose 🤦‍♂️
  5. I agree with your main point 100%, not trying to argue it. I just don't think they'll do a Vanguard. Battleforce? Almost definitely, but probably next year.
  6. I think if you're expecting an Ironjawz Vanguard box you will be left disappointed. They have been pretty consistent with Vanguards/Combat Patrols being 1 per Battletome/Codex and, while Orruks are in a somewhat unique position with how the army is set up, I don't think it will lead to multiple Vanguards. Chaos Daemons for 40k is the biggest indicator imo. Their box is just pure Khorne and their is nothing for the other chaos gods. That and the fact that the new box is not 'Kruleboyz', but is 'Orruk Warclans', which to me says that it is the intended Vanguard for the whole battletome.
  7. Similar length, slightly shorter, and 1/3 -> 1/2 as wide I would guess?
  8. Presumably this will be covered in the 2nd Dawnbringers book I guess... potential for new Khorne model(s)?!
  9. It seems to have been lost in all the preview hype as I haven't seen anyone mention the Warhammer+ article on Warhammer Community today: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2023/08/30/vampires-sylvaneth-and-manticores-tear-up-warhammer-this-week/ I believe this is new lore that could be a big hint as to which of the 2 crusades fails?
  10. It's certainly possible given the rewrite of some of the FEC warscrolls in book 1. I think Allegiance abilities, etc are probably unlikely to change, but some warscroll changes could happen (even if only for Ardboyz to match the new models).
  11. The great prophet has confirmed again that they're spellcasting/adjacent. I'm excited for Ironjawz players to have pretty unusual sounding unit to play around with. Along with the big pig and a couple more new characters it should really flesh out the range and give a lot more options with where to go with the army.
  12. Seems like it's confirmed they'll be 3-man 50mm based unit at least. Spellcasting or some kind of similar ability looks likely from the name, but no confirmation on that.
  13. Fair point, assuming the info has come off these sort of unit listings.
  14. As of the upcoming Cities release and the way they revealed the new Wildecorps guys, it might not always be so cut and dry going forwards - particularly when warbands aren't tied to big dual boxes there's no reason they couldn't release the upcoming warbands as part of army updates. I'm inclined to think they are a specific AoS unit as well personally, but I don't think Warcry can necessarily be dismissed as a possibility out of hand.
  15. It'll be interesting to see what the Weirdbrute Wrekkaz are - 3-man 50mm base infantry to fill that niche within the army? Just alternative Brutes?
  16. It's at least restricted by her also needing to be in combat in order to do it, which is an interesting way to implement it and not too egregious an ability on an expensive centrepiece hero imo.
  17. Don't know if it's allowed to link directly, but the full box contents + battletome can be found on the main AoS reddit or on Honest Wargamer's twitter for those that are looking for it. I'm sure it's elsewhere, but that's where I've seen it. Happy to link to the imgur for anyone who needs it.
  18. Could I also be cheeky and ask for a pm of these please ❤️
  19. This could be the opportunity to introduce the long-speculated archers for OBR maybe? A skirmish type unit with some close-mid range shooting?
  20. I suppose it depends how you define generic battleline really. Rotmire Creed, Jade Obelisk, Claws of Karanak all seem like fairly generic battleline options for example. The newest Kruleboyz and CoS warbands seem like they could be too imo. Admittedly some of the others are clearly not (e.g. Hunters of Huanchi, Askurgan Trueblades) so they could go relatively out there with what they do.
  21. This is confirmed in the email sent out by GW today, although doesn't look like it was mentioned in the article itself.
  22. Didn't they say somewhere that all the battletomes would be updated by the end of the year? Which would put FEC as a December release most likely. Unless I imagined that...
