This negativity around beasts is tiring, especially because it was caused by another non-rumour like 6 pagez back. Let's switch it up by talking about new design possibilities for beasts. Personally I wouldn't deviate too much from the established goat look, as for a fantasy beastmen race it is pretty unique for the core of the Warhammer beastman to be a goat. However there is space for adding other elements to the beastmen in other parts of their bodies (look at centigors for example). For example, new minotaurs could get muscular bear arms. I am also a big fan of the jabberslythe and in my opinion it is the epitome of a beast of chaos, so more lizard and insect elements do also fit in. Imagine ungor raiders with dog legs for better running around in a skirmish, bestigors with pangolin scales for extra armor etc.

I think I'm gonna look on facebook groups to trade mine, or wait to see if we get indexed next edition and then do it if not.

Damn I have the limited edition tome from the box but the fullart version even on the non-special one is so much better. I feel disappointed. Gloomspite got their dice with Dawnbringers, so I guess it's a matter of when a release makes them remember that they have dice on hand.

Speaking of trolls and snarfang, do you guys think they would get any new ones? Imo they could do some really creative stuff with plain troggoths that look like burial mounds/kurgans when they sleep. Also if we get a wolf chariot it better be a sleigh.

I'm not really knowledgable on Ossiarch lore but from what I've read Arkhan died/got lost and it could also be a good segue into a new model for him with a construct body that looks more human like Katakros', although I agree that his current model fits in the most out of all three of them. Also for Neferata it's not just the mount but the hat and staff are really Bonereapers'y too.

I wish the mortarchs got new models on a max 60mm base (bigger if on a mount) like Olynder. Their current models seem too similar too each other and the mount is too Bonereapers'y. I hope it's coming one day because right now I'm not inclined to buy Neferata even though I want to run a Legion of Blood force. Sekhar is a great blueprint for a new Neferata.

From the short story, I personally don't think we're getting a skaven unit in warsuits but instead a character, as I think a whole unit would be stepping on the toes of stormfiends. Also this is probably more teasers for 4th, it being the big project the engineers are working on.

If we're going with the greek mythology look I think siren-like (like actual sirens not mermaids) or stryx mutants would be fitting for Morai-Heg.

It doesn't seem to me that GW is scared of using cultural connotations in their miniatures, look at Snarlfang which are still clearly mongolian/steppe-riders inspired, or Ossiarchs with the imperial Japan look. Edit: Also with Khorne going mesoamerican, Slaanesh going middle-eastern belly dancers, Ogres still being mongolian with some native-american elements and half of Soulblight going clearly eastern-european.

I am literally on my knees for an edition based on the seas and naval-themed stuff. It could bring expansions to existing nautical factions like Idoneth and the Kharadon while also expanding for example Soulblight with vampirates and Gloomspite with sky pirates, and give us a new fishmen faction. The only suggestion to the existence of fishmen is unfortunately in TOW Ravening Hordes book. Let us take to the seas (or aetheric void) GW!!!

Honestly, looking at the points value of the box I'd say it might even be a higher price point, as the 40k boxes are more expensive and they might want to level the prices out between the games.

I personally don't believe BoC are going anywhere, at least as a concept. They might get renamed and get a new range but a beastly faction will still be present. It's crazy to me how The Honest Wargamer stirred up this thread by just stating his opinion (not a rumour) that he *thinks* that they're getting removed.

While most of this sounds cool, looking back on third, where until dawnbringers GW pretty much insisted on being set in Ghur, we really didn't get any Ghur-themed miniatures in mainline AoS and it was mostly delegated to Warcry to carry the Ghur theme, although only in a pretty small area. It seems to me that setting a whole edition in one realm doesn't really constitute anything in terms of larger range releases. The fact that we didn't get a large BoC release in this edition really shows that the "Era of the Beast" barely means anything. I'm personally for the multi-realm jumping between them to tell interesing stories as they crop up approach. Edit: And as someone mentioned before, other realms also show opportunities for industrial development, the soul-fuel oil rigs in Shyish sound pretty metal to me. I wouldn't be betting on what the next realms would be based on the factions we know will be featured in the next edition. For all we know the starter might be set in Blight City itself as the Stormcasts push back an incursion after something happens at the end of Dawnbringers.
