Id love a Great Knarloc model!!

I can 100% see a great Knarloc as a centrepiece, and the final kit after that and the scout riders to be an elite foot infantry, since that’ll be all they’re missing

Adepticon usually teases a Big Thing for june (Horus Heresy on 2022, 10th edition on 2023) and then some stuff for 40k/other games later on summer. The preview of 2022 even teased CSM, whom would come much later down the line.

What I expect from adepticon 2024 is:

    -AoS: Dawnbringers 6, 4th ed

-40K: orks, custodes, imperial agents, legions imperialis stuff

    -30k: mechanicum

    -The Old World: Dwarfs

    -Warcry: new roadmap

    -Other specialist games: something

    -Lord of the Rings: nothing

But I'll make the wishlisht on a further notice when the date is nearer

Quite possibly, I personally think that’s too much for 40K and agents have 5 codexes on the roadmap before them, otherwise I think you might be on the money for guesses, Lotr might see a basic reveal since they announced there would be ‘releases’ this year, and specialist games is anyone’s guess ahaha

Possibly, but it seems more likely that GW preparing the launch box for before adepticon. Have to focus that preview on orks, custodes, and the imperial agents reveal I'd say

Embrace kroot, eat kroot, become kroot

I’d say Imperial agents is too far away, and yea, that may be true, although Adepticon is on March 24ish so realistically after 2 more weeks of reveals after tomorrow  (that could have a week breaking them up) that is basically on the date

plus GW love to show off 2 codexes for each event, but one having already had models revealed,

necrons (already had a model shown) and admech at one event, followed by Dark angels (which already had models revealed and the Kroot box at the next, most likely, show off rest of Kroot and then reveal 1 codex with 1 model, maybe at a stretch reveal the other out of custodes, orks and chaos but I doubt 3 codex related reveals at one event

Ugh. They cannot monopolize the Monday preview for more than a month 😭

I think it will be broken up with other reveals as I said I really think they will hold the ‘biggest’ model to be revealed at adepticon, so they will have to break it up here and there

Um, what's wrong with it? U don't like birds, huh?

It was already 100% expected, mondays are going to be kroot days for a while

Yea they said how many units they I initially revealed was about half the release, so we saw 5 units at initial reveal, since then we’ve had two more revealed so I expect 3-4 more reveals but I suspect they will save 1 for adepticon and do the video which shows all the minis at once

I always thought that a 5th book was there, but since we got no Chaos one and we are starting to get info about that Lady of Ruin, when the supposed 6th book would be released in like 2 months I am starting to think we could have the Chaos focused one/ conclusion one in the 5th one, even if Krethusa is in the cover.

And it would seem the Lady of ruin may have appeared in this months white dwarf :)

I expect a black Library Celebration preview, with some new minis revealed on it.

Wel, I dunno if it is due for this week, but I bet GW will want to make an event for the anouncement of the new Great Scouring series.

We had the Black library preview in November, so I don’t think we will see anything else, other than Monday model and Thursday age of darkness although the model for Monday could be anything, a couple weeks back was an AOS model

Custode new character but a melta spear, Ork Mek maybe a named one, kroot

30k SM command squad, solar, solar

aos  lumineth or anti morathi witch elves, nighthaunt, calus and toll, marauder rider

whatever of these they show I can’t wait to see them! And that’s assuming no surprises! Very excited for this!

What about making foot characters attach to units (which would necessarily require rewriting every foot hero in the game), increasing the toughness of pretty much every vehicle, and adding universal special rules (adding Twin-Linked alone would require rewriting the attack profiles of dozens of weapons across the entire game).

I mean attaching characters existed b fore, and increasing/decreasing numbers is also done every edition either way, but fair point on characters since that hasn’t existed since 7th

They generally only do the index thing when moving to a ruleset that doesn't support the old unit stats, 40k 7th into 8th where they removed armour values (and universal special rules, maybe?), WHFB 8th into AoS where they changed basically everything, etc.  I can't speak for the 40k 9th into 10th indexing cos I've not played 40k in a long time, but historically it's not something they've done without reasonable cause.

For what it's worth I think the AoS core rules are strong enough that they don't need such a huge change as to invalidate how warscrolls work. (Unless maybe they do something like remove melee weapon ranges, perhaps?)

Unfortunately the changes in 10th were simply OC count… which really isn’t a thing I’d call reasonable for a reset, and they changed army rules, which they do redness of index edition or not so I think they’d find any excuse to do it to AOS if it means selling you cards and then a couple months later selling a book

unfortunately this is a cynical post

Yikes... you are correct. My memory is failing me. I was thinking of 7th to 8th.

It’s all good with the speed of editions it’s easy to forget which is which ahahah

but I do think by that logic a hard reset is overdue for AOS since 40K is every second edition

It was pretty hard. With the Index books, which I think lead them to the super hard 10th edition (and what I think we will see going forward) Let's call it a semi-reset then. 😉

There was no indexes in 9th, 7th to 8th had indexes, 8th to 9th was akin to 2nd to 3rd AOS, no indexes continue with what you have. It seems to be every other edition for 40K has a index style reset being 8th and now 10th

As was 9th. I might be completely wrong about this but I suspect GW has pivoted to "New Edition = Reset" for 40k+AoS. It just makes so much sense from a financial perspective. Everyone goes out to buy new indexes, cards, etc and it allows for the edition to be approached holistically from the outset. It's a massive cash injection, that I think is too hard to pass up. Again, I may be wrong but I think we will see a full AoS 4 reset (I also think this is why they have released all the Battletombs with several months to spare to minimise backlash from books only being viable for that edition for a couple of months.)

On 9th edition you could still use 8th Ed books, it wasn’t a hard reset, it’s why Imp guard were hurt for so long, they were sat on a previous Ed book, which was lacking in strength for almost 3 years whilst every other army got stronger. Finally got their day and were outdated in 10th, 9th wasn’t the same as the hard reset that 10th was

How do you mean? What else could have been shown? It can't get any bigger than this for a specialist game. It's already stretching the limits this pre-order for a specialist game.

This is a pre order notice, I wouldn’t call it a reveal?

Honestly, I never picked up the old Green Knight, so much as I'd like the modern studio to take a crack at it in plastic I'll quite happily pick up the old one for a future painting project if he's available

I can bank on him being forge world resin, whether that’s good or bad is up to you
