ok it took me a while to find the leak and i only found the brutes but they are looking amazing now? i understand mbmk got nerfed out of the 3+ (fixed to 2+ in many ways) with a 6++ to a 4+ and yes that sucks but unless we get something that tacks on available wounds like the mbmk i still think its great. yes the 3+ on kbgt is very strong and probably pushed for sales but its not like ironjawz didn't receive some buffs too. on ardboyz they have an extra attack now. granted the to hit is worse but ill take the extra attack that can have its on hit buffed back. also the ironjawz might get allegiance buffs. while i was looking at them recently they seemed a bit weak anyway so they might've been brought in line. lets wait and see but now that i found the links i understand your frustration but am not fully sure its as bad as was first stated.

im lost on what point your making? im sorry are you saying its bad kruleboyz got more? i mean 1 of those is karagnos as well. i mean did you pose this complaint we ironjaws joined bonesplittas? honestly just lost on this?

Firstly we have absolutely no set statement on anything battleline. as someone who has a lumineth army and watched the second release closely, they said nothing about bladelords being battleline until the book was already available for preorders for some time. we cant know what we are getting and we have 2 options of units that could very well be battleline. battleline is not dictated purely on allegiances either, any boss could bring the hobgrots or the sloggoths into battleline. the idea that they will give us everything in the books before preorder isnt likely at all because then they have nothing to spoil while between preorder and release. secondly it is hard to remain optimistic but i think more then a few of us here arent looking for a top tier army or even much above mid tier. yes its nice to win but as woolf pointed out buffs and nerfs can and will happen but atleast we have amazing models. im sorry for your disappointment but i doubt ironjaws were nerfed for kruleboys but rather likely for a change in big waaaghs abilities. there is no proof that some changes (possibly strong ones) havent been made to many allegiance abilities. be worried all you like but try and keep moral rather then shooting the book before it releases.

This is what I was thinking. Killaboss with boss sticka like most of the mounted killabosses. Could be our warband guy could be a different kit all together. I don't think it's part of the gutrippa kit though. Just wish we could start getting some articles again...

So the battletomes schedule was August. assuming they didnt allow preorders until this previous saturday. (to allow dates for this it would be aug 28th as the last day possible do preorders by the time they scheduled, and they showed the model the 30th) Most people wouldnt have the battletome until its actual release not its preorder thus they could still show these off and it wouldve been the same. Just saying necrons showed off units before they were released as well. still not impossible based off previous releases.

I mean necrons codex came out with unreleased models like the shadow dragon(? Think that's what it was called I don't remember sorry) so it not impossible that they include it in the tome. I mean your likely right I'm just stating it's not impossible.

Betting these guys will actually be in the battletome on release? (Sorry posted as a statement not a question).

Sadly they did the same thing for slaanesh/daughters box so its possible the box uses the big yeller battleline much like how slaanesh could use godseekers to reach theirs. I have my doubts we are going to be like lumineth as theirs is meant to be a focus based on the military strategy. With us looking more like gorilla tactics I don't think it'll be battleline unlocking battleline. My money's on bosses unlocking battleline.

I mean hobgoblins from fantasy were mercinaries. Literally anyone could do it just cause "lore reasons" and it's make perfect sense. I'm only leaning towards the breakaboss cause it's book art literally has the hobgrot banner in it.

I'm still going out on a limb with this but the breakaboss is often seen with them. THIS IS SPECULATION! But we could also have a general in the orruks that give them battleline. Doesn't have to be a hobgrot general. And with breakaboss being the only breaks unit (I'm counting both snatchaboss and skumdrekk for snatcha) he's kinda odd man out it's not impossible. And since it sounds like a dominion box matched game they wouldn't have included him. Just food for thought.

IF this happens I have doubts it's more for kruleboyz. IF they did this I'd say it would be expanding the ij and bs lines rather then much more for kb. Lrl had 2 reason I feel it was done, the defensive stance as stated above, and as a narrative play for broken realms. I feel the chances of kruleboyz getting much more at this point is second to none. I would on the other hand love to see new ij and bs units and would happily just buy another book if that happened. Honestly though I don't believe that the lrl battletome is a normal thing and I don't think it'll be seen much if at all again.

Whelp apologies and defenses are done for now. Honestly it feels like they spent to much time peddling Warhammer plus and all its ****** and pushed us out of the way for it. I'm sick of getting Warhammer plus updates cause few if anybody I know or play with want anything to do with it. I would've ignored it fully if I hadn't seen a megaboss. I wanted to believe gw could keep to their schedule but it appears they can't. I'm more frustrated with the load of side projects jumping in front of us.

So I have no proof other then pictures but I think the breakaboss will have something to do with them. In many pictures of the boss with the army you can find hobgrots near him and his book art has the hobgrot banner. All speculation but they might be worth painting if it's true. Either way you can wait on them for now.

Not to white knight for gw cause I'm not thrilled with them either I do need to point out the announcement was available for preorder in August. As much as this hype train is dying let's not crucify them for things advertised badly but correct.

I think the breakaboss on mirebtute troggoth has some interaction with the hobgrots. In most of the pictures of it's model on the field it's near hobgrots but most interesting is in today's artwork of it you can clearly see the banner from the hobgrots. Anyone think it might be the general that makes them battleline?

oh I completely agree. this wasn't me saying its 100% balanced this was a statement that it isn't balanced and yes in most (looking at gargants) cases destruction is a very narrative army. sadly I think that's where they want us. I'm merely saying that if anyone is getting into this army for competitive reasons you have 2 choices: look at order or play 40k orks RIGHT NOW because that's a ticking time bomb too.

I mean as much as I agree with this, even if we got something good it'd still be over run. For a while nurgle was strong in 40k now its starting to fall behind as well. honestly with power creep even if we got a strong book the rest would just be stronger. id honestly say we will probably not remain much above upper mid tier for long. we are not the next ko, dot, or lrl or anything top tier. I imagine we will be strong enough to start with then slowly make our way back down to mid tier. and we should be happy if we stay there and dont go lower. honestly this will end as a narrative army regardless of strength of tome at release cause we are a starting army. this is a bad thing though. its fine to be narrative in AoS. our tournaments are not as important to gw as 40k as such having a competitive army is more or less a bragging right over anything else. play the game to enjoy the game and don't worry about the rest.

At this point if we got cavalry I doubt it would be battleline and if it is it will be conditional.

I want to believe there still is. im holding last weeks bet. I DOUBT IT! but i want to believe.

I mean I also feel the beast-skewer has great potential, not just as a monster killer but a hero killer as well. I mean of course it won't happen often (almost never), but on that rare occasion you roll equal to the units wound characteristic and it does come up either all 5+ or enough to be within 2 of killing a unit, you might kill a hero for free.

Guess we will see. That still seems like the stereotypical answer to me but I'm still too hopeful. I don't think this will be a lrl release I think we are done when we're done. So let's hope to fill the last cracks but oh well otherwise.
