  1. Update: currently figuring out Heavy light-armored infantry and at least one more flavour beast before organizing everything for easier viewing. (clutter will be resolved)

Update: Faction goodies shown off, go ahead and take a gander of the power within the marsh!

    MODERATOR NOTICE

We are going no where productive nor constructive arguing about which army should get what. I think its time to let that debate rest and get back to news/rumours and such. If you really want to continue talking about GW's release plans you can start a separate thread on the subject.

Can we have some clear outline on this thread for this?

Its just going  to continue from another discussion eventually.

Maybe rename this general chat too? We all know much more than rumors get discussed here and some feel the  need to take matters into their own hands to inform people in non constructive ways.

Yeah I hope the don't do that now with Kruleboyz. I do wonder how they set out making these model ranges - if the mini designers knew from the start these new Kruleboyz and Hobgrots were going to be part of an Orruk Warclans battletome, how much they collaborate with the rest of the studio along the way, if they made a bunch of models and work out what battletome they're going to belong to sometime later down the line, or what?

They left enough holes for me to fill in and create some interesting units.

    Bye then.

Because these things are happening and were decided by GW about 4 years ago. Complaining about it now isn’t going to force them to change direction.

This attitude doesn't get messages across and neither does it help bring this discussion to a resolution.

Could  we work towards some kind  of guidelines for this forum outlined for everyone to read and understand what you the mods want in this thread? Policing each of these kinds of discussion isn't helping stop them.

Not sold on that if I'm honest, compared to the previous sculpts. I guess the cartoonish sculpt fits more the BB aesthetic, but couldn't see myself using him in AoS.

Yeah I prefer the horrifying bloodthirsty primate spawn over the 80's ghostbuster toy style for me  personally. I think theres a lot of great details on  this new sculpt and great possibilities  on making the skin different.

You people who hate aelves need to get on board with this. It has all been telescoped in the fluff for years. There’s going to be another Lumineth wave. There’s going to be at least one malerion release. There will probably be kurnothi. We may well see another Idoneth release.

The sooner you learn to be at peace with it the better. Nothing worse than seeing people moan about aelves each time they get something else when it’s been clear for so long that, yes, there’s more coming.

"you people", usually not a great choice of words to start off; a rant about expectations.

Thing is the community is getting tired and security in the games have been exceptionally rocky because of the total lack of communication lines and feedback no longer a priority for improvement. They very well might release another  6 waves  of release flavours before rule overhauls, not the end of the world. Complaining about wanting change isn't constructive, the game, stories, and hobby have endless opportunities we can discover and collaborate together.

If anyone wants to take this topic into your own hands to  make a more enjoyable experience then don't wait  for it.

I'll be the first to admit it took me years to learn this and losing my passion for it many times.

  7. I for one want GW to chill with the new armies and factions. Focus on what already exists in the game and continues to suffer to negligence and malpractice of handling most armies  from first edition  to now. Sure they are  teased a ton but GW has done this  thing before much like most  other  world  building with various factions in conflict, not all of them  need  to be fleshed out right away, especially not when both of their big games are not doing  so hot right now.

Also whitefang implied it to be false via reactions when it was first posted.

Literally 99% of rumors from /tg/ are people wishlisting or trolling to spend some time between racist / xphobic ****** posting.

Sadly most forums and other warhammer community sites are full of this. More common than anyone cares to admit.

We should all be patient & inclusive. Providing constructive and informative assistance so we can all paint the nasty bare plastic and enjoy some games.

  9. They fit their themes well enough to leave  them out from kruleboyz, I'm trying to create a personalized identity because I feel it is  lacking in several divisions I wont be expecting fixed in the book. Not to discourage anyone from getting stuff, always be aware of your own purchases.

It would be interesting if we get a ambush like allegiance ability (similar to the living cities or beasts of chaos one) that also work on them. 85 points for a ambush unit would be something interesting to have even if they do very little damage wise. Other than that, if the end counting as battleline would also be something interesting IMO, as they would be the cheapest body per points we have and would let us focus more on the monsters (if they are on the expensive side). They don't need much more I think, just one right rule would help a lot.

I personally feel like they are missing really important elements and I'm already planning my projects to remedy this. Including warscrolls and such :

Light  small round base grot cavalry designed for skirmishes and harassment poke for other units to get the edge

Medium basic cavalry  with orruk riders, average fast hammer, but better mount attacks than average horses.

40-50mm base solo tall  troll like creatures that focus on snatching vulnerable elites

40mm Trained vultures that focus on finishing enemy units that are already weakened. weak otherwise.

Im no expert, so this is just my thoughts and I suspect GW want you to still create content. They could have done this for a lot of websites in the past but they haven’t.

Yesterdays world that would be correct because they really didn't produce much community content until age of sigmar came out and youtube creators on warhammer were significantly smaller. Community has grown along with the company, they want to control the growth now instead of grow with it.

Obviously, purely digital rules would be ideal for maintaining balance, but GW has been actively moving in the opposite direction, with none of the 3.0 warscrolls being available online for free yet. Since the alternative to rules updates in White Dwarf seems to be rules updates in Battletomes or Broken Realms-style supplements, I'd rather pay $9 for an update in White Dwarf than wait 3-4 years for a $40-50 hardback.

When in circumstance of picking a lesser evil I choose neither.

If we all clearly care about age of sigmar and every armies future, maybe we should be organizing something to take care of our community and importantly our games and hobbies.

I'll be making a thread to gather peoples opinions and their own playtesting soon.

  13. Collective collaboration on creating documents on various accounts of the game state, the community groups, and transparent marketing with a yearly roadmap of who is expected to get a release and doesn't need a specific date. Along with who gets the axe and the data they use for balancing. Eventually the community is gonna give with the various issues we are not addressing directly to them with the data we have as a community and playtesting.

While I agree we should hold GW accountable for writing bad and broken rules, the "sin/bin guy" is nothing more than a meme and doesn't even really reflect reality, with 0 evidence to back it up besides people saying "this book seems strong, this one doesn't".

It's also way too reductionist - which "guy" wrote the Soublight book? Half the warscrolls are garbage, half the warscrolls are busted good.

Welcome to scapegoating when no one is directly to blame and complete lack of modern communication lines with the community make people think they are tone deaf. More like two different design groups with now common miscommunication with design principals or whatever other speculative information. Has always been a thing its not some new concept recently. People just gave a name and a face to the issue.
