Guys what you think about this list?
    Give me some tips pls!😀
I know mortek is a must but wanted to change a bit, since I never played OBR you think this could be good?
Alternatively I could swap Arkhan the Black, Mortarch of Sacrament (360) for a Mortek Crawler (200), Soulstealer Carrion (20) and Mortisan Soulmason (140).

As for the second faction of AoS 3.0 starter I think GW must go safe. They are taking Stormcasts and Space Marines for every starter  for a reason. They need to aim for the most wide tastes. I doubt we will get something other than some kind of Greenskinz.

Stormcast have a wild range of models and new models seems cool at the same time greenskinz are generally loved by the community(IMHO), I never played orcs/goblins but love the miniatures and background.

My best wishes for all is a good new edition!

    - totally unreal but maybe some kind of monstrous cavalry like necropolis stalkers from TK (riders on snakes)

I had those models, they were pretty cool!!!

Started WHFB with khemri, restarted it years later with the new wave of khemri in 2012(I think?) sold it some years ago and restarting now with OBR(previously played SCE), to my eyes they are some kind of spiritual successors of the tomb kings.

He definitely works better in narrative big games than in 2k pitched battles, though.  3k, 4k or more?  Enough points for Nagash and an army and some offensive endless spells and the aigis immortal to help keep him alive at speed?  That's when Nagash really starts to feel like, you know, Nagash.

That said, there's some positive signs on the horizon.  There have been some rumors that mystic shield is going back to +1 armor save, and if that happens then Nagash being able to give himself that re-rollable 2+ armor save again, plus hand out old-style petrifex bonus to a couple key units in the army each turn, will be a big deal and you might see some more tournament activity from him in that case.

He's also rumored to be in the new Soulblight Gravelords book, where he'll have a different and possibly more directly threatening spell selection and cheaper units to fill out the rest of your army with, so if you just want to field Nagash and aren't bothered one way or the other about the units he gets to take with him, then you might want to keep an eye on that.

I was looking to make a list with OBR and wanted to clear my mind about Nagash, I see something like this:

    Allegiance: Ossiarch Bonereapers
    - Legion: Mortis Praetorians

    Leaders
Katakros, Mortarch of the Necropolis (500)
    - General

    Total: 2000 / 2000
    Extra Command Points: 0
    Allies: 0 / 400
    Wounds: 81

--But the following is what I like the most:

    AGE OF NAGASH

im in 50/50 about the new stormcasts.

I always liked the non feathers on the prosecutors and the prime and liked that boxy look. Im super invested into the old stormcast so at first when i saw the new release i was like.. OH DAMN THIS ISNT WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR.. i dont like models being updated this fast. At 40k i didnt like it either because im into GW games for long enough to know that it means a total overhaul from al the old models. So right now we think oke we got new sce and old sce. They look wierd next to one another but we all know within 2 years al the old stuff is replaced. (all that old warrior chamber stuff atleast). This is something i dont really like. I could imagine that with the new chamber ( if this is really a new chamber.. im not 100% sure yet) old stuff is getting sup optimal. I dont think for a second my liberators going to be better then these new battleline options and those new paladins are going to be worse then my retributors.

Its just not how GW worked in the past with the exeption of chaos marauders maybe.

Now ive settled down with my initial rage im like: lets see some rules first and mayb i can make a new off-meta themed list thats going to be cool to run at the middle tables.. That doesnt totaly look out of place just yet.

I have hardly ever used some of the units I have from the warrior room, I was expecting a new one not a total replacement, no matter if I can still use them for some time. the scam move they made was releasing blackwatch with oldcast again..why? Battalions with 60 liberators why?!.

I will wait but I would seriously quit the game .. I don't think I will anyway

I understand why you would feel this way.

From my perspective I think the original Stormcast models are atrocious, every model in the range I could never see myself painting a single one. With these new Stormcast I am all in on the starter set and may even make a Stormcast army.

So from a business perspective what they’re doing is pretty smart and will gather new players and sell more models.

Good for them, I'm selling my sce

My prediction is that oldcast has warscrolls combined like one for older paladins, one for dracoths, difference will be in load out, etc with minimal changes to both scroll and points. Nothing is getting squatted, just not really updated.  They said on stream that the new armor allows Sigmar to send the thunder strike force to where the battle is heaviest because they can reforge and oldcast can’t make it back to azyr because of be’lakor. Seems pretty clear that’s the direction the faction is going. GW aren’t trying to sell more retributors lol. And for the record it’s fine. This kind of churn is what you are in for with marines or stormcast, old stuff will be playable, just not cutting edge.

Great, as a new player seems I choose the best faction/chamber/moment and even year to be in “love” with sce. But I get it, thanks.

also just to defuse some of the tension... we saw literally 2 units + another centerpiece model. We need to see the rest of the box before assuming these are replacements OR a new chamber.

    let's check what we know:

    • the Celestant is a new rank, under the Prime but above Lord-Celestant
    • Annihilator is a new Paladin type
    • Vindictors are another new battleline
    • Stormcast are trying to set up outposts (sounds like they need Vanguard chamber)
    • Excelsis will be sieged by Kragnos/Gordrakk (sounds like they need Warrior and Extremis chamber)
    • Chaos will take a front-seat in 3.0 (sounds like they need Sacrosanct)
    • your army will not be unusable
    • we ARE getting a new battletome

thunderstrike armor could be costly to take; i.e Annihils 250 for 5, Vindictors 160 for 5. putting both well above existing units,

the starter box could include these 2 new units, maybe a Stormcast hero, then the rest of Order are new COS models. it could be all new chamber including these 2 units.

we don't know how the Vindictors scale to existing kits, other than they are slimmer and the pauldrons aren't obnoxious. but it does look like the height is the same. it'd be a surprise if you couldn't kitbash Vindictors to everyone else if you want chonky spearmen.

GW's marketing relies on preying on our fears about both your existing models and new models/rules. Lets not attack each other based on preferences, we have a lot of waiting to do before all this dooming is even worth doing.

    thank'you that helped a bit!

I bought 3k+ of warrior chamber models, since is my favorite chamber,
    assembled and almost all painted,
played very little because I started in Dec'19/January 2020.

Even the possibility to see my "old" and little used models replaced make me "otherwise happy".

The more I look at Vindictors, the more I don't like them. The skin tight armor does not appeal to me. And somehow they look more plane then liberators. They also don't look at as intimidating, they look like they would lose in a melee fight against blood Warriors or blight kings. They remind me of a light armor Skirmish unit.

As for the annihilator, something about it makes it look less maneuverable and flexible then any other Paladin equivalent.

Someone made a joke about asking gw: make warscrolls respect the models aesthetic, they have responded with slim body armor.😭

I'm not so fond of how they are kinda redoing Warrior Chamber rather than something new. Liberators and Paladins are getting replaced it feels, niche-wise. There is also a rumour engine that could be a Judicator replacement.
Really would've preferred Seraphon or Skaven getting an overhaul rather than Stormcast models from 6 years. Well, effectively an overhaul.

    2020-11-10.jpg

Some players bought enough liberators to play the newest battalion with 60 of them, they released a few months ago the ven brecht box with 10judicators...if GW are gonna replace them I feel scammed, seriously.

To be fair, I was not initially happy with what I saw, The Vindictors made me sick to my stomach(I hate them, I like my dudes to be buff)  and stricken with worry. I felt my stress levels jump.  I had thoughts of, 'what does this mean'  'I don't like that slim down look' 'are GW deleting my army'

But then I realized this happens every time it come to GW changing anything about  stormcast with me, the Sacrosanct Chamber made me feel the same way when it was released.

I then realized I don't know what this means and I will have to wait and see.   I do like the new angel lady however.

Now that I have calmed down and think about it, would GW really delete all of their  relatively new kits? Just for that slim down look?   replace all the  Strike Chambers(Warrior/Harbinger/Exemplar), Extremis Chamber, Vanguard Chamber and the Sacrosanct Chamber?

Maybe, but I don't think so. All the units have new/different names and look unique and distinct, Like a new chamber would.  When Sigmar's backed into a corner, it was Dracothian that to his aid. That's how we got the Extremis Chambers, so I thought maybe this is a new chamber or a new position for stormcast. They are called the thunderstrike host in the article.

I could be very wrong, who knows.

Sure is a new chamber, however gardus have the same armor of a celestant and he's a new model, if they made a balanced thing, we'll see update for warrior chamber alongside the new one.

More evidence that this is a reboot rather than a new chamber, the Youtube video calls Yndrasta a Celestant

    image.png.81f0cd389b38fd1c1baa7f788a52a18d.png

I wonder what the other weapon options for Vindicators and Annihilators will be... in the full kits, of course they won't include them in the starter lol

I may be the only one, but I like the simple aspect of liberators more than the other stormcast units. I like a lot paladins also.

Yndrasta is a really cool model, the primaris have a good concept and like the miniature, spear-stormy?ok-ish model, even if is really well made, shoulders and legs particularly.

Hope they don't reboot the warrior chamber, c'mon 5/6 years old models aren't old.

seraphon are old, most COS units are really old.

One one hand, I was already preparing for dissapointment and wouldn't be so surprised if we only got the eisenhorn trailer

On the other, do we have any, even slightest, reason (other than a previous account being taken down) reason to believe this is a true, legit leak?

hope they prepare us for disappointment and then hit us with good news

That said, I own a Bretonnian army and still wish people would shut up about Bretonnia.

You, lucky guy, you could be one of the first to convert your bretonnian army in bretonnian stormcast army!

    Do it for Sigmar!
