It would not be happening in the edition since Daughters of Khaine are getting a new battletome like in a month from now

yes, you're right... I didnt thought about that... Maybe in the future. I mean, it is so weird beacause i forgot that Daughters of khaine are going to receive a new battletome that soon.

IDK it's still a bad choice both for Lumineth players that needs to buy 3 times a tome and a kick in the teeth for other armies that got no new models after the first wave(and they are a lot).
Unless they'll do a "minimal wave" with 2\3 troops for river temple (or zenith?) and Tyrion (but i doubt we'll see him having already Teclis as "god sized" model).
Considering we'll also get Malerion seems a pretty bad move also if they'll arrive one near another.
But it's also wrong to think they should'nt have a 3rd edition wave tbh...idk i just hope gw start to give the same "love" of ome armies to many others.

The thing is as a lumineth player I wouldnt care very much, but it would be bad because I bought the first battletome and several months later I had to buy the second one... imagine buying a third one. But on the other part I want to have the full range of miniatures. So I dont know, personally it would be better late so I can paint all what I have.

Also, there is the Broken Realm story about Malerion and Morathi that says that Tyrion is aproaching Ulgu and it seems is going to be some kind of negotiation between them, so if we get Malerion we'll get Tyrion, not at the same time but the release could be near.

Each temple would, if they follow the previous temples' template, include one unit, one mage, one spirit and a named version of said spirit.

And I guess Slaves to Darkness already set the bar with two god-tier characters in one army with Archaon and Be'lakor, even if there was quite a lot of time between their respective releases

I think the River Temple is going to follow that pattern: unit, mage and spirit. But the Zenith temple i think isnt going to follow that. According to the lore zenith temple is the hardest temple to achieve and only the best mages are part of it. So maybe we only get a Mage hero or a special character.

I'm going to come off as complete nutter for having done this, but here's the specific different fonts

One is 1:1 Bretonnian and another mimics a 'German' font (I.e, Empire) - that is, the font of Fraktur. It was historically used in Germany so Empire seems an obvious choice due to that and Fantasy-German names.

One based on name and coat of arms is obviously Kislev!

That leaves Ortegeta - based on name and almost cross-like T:s I expect them to be Estalia (Conquistadors, reconquista, inquisitions - in pop cultural history Spain is mostly associated with Christianity). Ortegeta's font evokes 16th century manuscripts as mentioned above, and the star and moon on the coat of arms /could/ reference the religious diversity of Spain before the reconquista and inquisitions.

Harkon's coat of arms features a red grail with two drops of blood falling into it, alongside an unique font - most likely refers to VC

This leaves Tordorno and Aquilena as a mystery faction, but based on names I suspect Tilea. Both do in some way evoke Bretonnian heraldry, Tordorno with the fleur-de-lis and Aquilena mimicking the colour scheme and theme of L'Anguille! I was wrong and Pontenne definitely is Bretonnian font. You and @Loyal Son of Khemri are probably right in it signifies who they split from - but maybe teases two new areas (Tilea, Estalia) and return of Vampires!

Harkon could be related to Luthor Harkon?

  5. I think that the reason of the lower number of female players and ''hobbyist'' is not because of the low female representation in the game or at least is not the main reason. From my perspective the most important reason  is prejudice, especially the prejudice of the male-dominated environement wich is portrayed as an agressive environement.

I'm not saying that there is not certain agressiveness but imagine being a woman/girl that is new to the game and suddenly you meet with an A**hole. The next step is to get out of there ASAP, because you dont feel welcome. But that is not what i've seen so far in this hobby. When a female comes in everyone was nice to her and everyone was open to help her.

From my point of view GW can transforn every army from male to female and there would be more male players again.  And I ask myself, if I can play with an army that is full female as Battle sisters or DoK why this can't be viceversa?

Direchasm screen grabs below. Agreed about the Lumineth generic hero though it's likely the sorceror chap will be a de-facto special character. The swordsman looks like they could be a warden champion rather than a melee hero but either way will probably be part of a clumped-together unit like most WHU warbands.

For my part those Slaaneshi models look dope even just from the barest glimpses. The stereotypical decadent Persian look from 300 is there but that lord has a twisted hoplite feel: spear and shield (maybe?) but a neon pink fur cloak casually tossed over a shoulder. The archer on the box cover is a clear callback to the ancient Battlemasters chaos thug archer model (one of the last serious WHFBish missile weapon-armed chaos models. The other spear-fighter is doing that cool martial arts thing where you lazily put your spear over your shoulder and act real chill. I'm buzzed for this, will probably pick it up.

The swordman hero is part of one of the 4 elements in the lumineth army the same as the Alarith Stoneguard. In this case part of the River aspect I think.
