  1. I haven't played in a while.... Last Warhammer was underworlds, and I played the savage orcs/bonesplitters?

I have started to paint my Lord regent, but it's hard...

I've been excited to paint the stormcast in the dominion box, since they seem to have less details that are hard to reach! But a part of me want to finish my Lumineth first!

But basically it's just three model above, five Dawnriders and the endless spells left!

  2. As a fan of elves, I liked idoneth, but I would have liked some elite infantry like those on eels, but without a mount.

Then Lumineth came and I was sold, even if I in the beginning was a little bit unsure with all the fancy helmets. It's been a pain to paint, but I'm almost done with the army...

Next is the Dominion box. And after that I wouldn't mind a kurnothi release, but I don't have storage for that!

Going on topic, where do people find rumors? Is it a leak from employees to their friends? PR people that do it as a promotion?

I don't want to get my hopes up too much. I was sure Idoneth would get a 2nd edition tome, a hero on foot and some endless spells which never came to pass.

Some may remember my famous "Idoneth endless spells" comment 😳.

So I'm choosing to believe the image is actually lava going into a river, not the sea, and of course heralds the inevitable arrival of phase 3 Lumineth Realm Lords!

I'm ready! I already bought three Lumineth battletomes (first one, the 2nd one and a digital one since it took 8 weeks to get my own order from the UK) and the br: Teclis book.

    All we need is Tyrion...

This is 2000 points, 3 shots each in bonegrinz, be an absolute nightmare to remove them all. Also worth noting that the maniak weirdnob can actually take a mount trait because the monster keyword is only a prerequisite for 3 of the 6 mount traits.

Sounds like a nightmare to fight. Go for it!

probably better off selling them, both for the environment and your own physical health.

I learned today that gutter runners are metal. I always thought they were plastic, just ugly. Hope whitefang's bone reading comes true soon- I don't suppose we've heard anything more about eshin?

They still sell models made in metal?

Or is it leftovers from the past?

Well, until Malerion comes along and everybody loses their respective mind about how awesome they look.

But I've always loved Dwarves and am looking forward to whatever they get.

But y'all have to remember that Tyrion and the third Lumineth book will show up sooner or later! It will be elves with fire burning birds and magical arrows that do 2 mortal wounds instead of one!

I don't think the age of of elves is over, but I don't mind the rest getting some love first!

  7. Its a bummer, but I recall back in the old days, you only had the rules in the books. So I'm not that shocked. I hope the warscrolls on paper last for a long time this edition though!

I'm fine to be able to see my rules in an app too, but I did like the ability to look on other factions units in the app, especially those that you encounter. It helped my friend and I to know the rules for most of the units and remind each other if we missed something.

  8. I gave around 195€ to Games workshop for some paper, I bought the limited edition ones, because I dont like the red part on the top of the book..., warscrolls and the Grand Alliance Order dices.

I hope the workers that printed the paper, made the scrolls, ships everything gets a good cut of that money.

Hope everyone gets what they want today :)

The lack of warscroll is not surprising but it is massively disappointing. The free warscrolls, the free app and warscroll builder were a massive plus for AoS.

Now only warscroll builder is left and I worry for its future.

The delay to the AoS app doesn't exactly engender hope that it will be good.

I'm not going to buy a battletome this year.

I hope gw has a change of heart over this

I'm also worried about the warscroll builder... I really like it since I then can build a list for me and friends that visit me.

If they go behind the paywall way, then perhaps the subscription to the app to be able to see all warscrolls would be"acceptable" to me...

    Duncan Rhodes new paint range

While I have personally reduced my paint range from over 100 to about 12 (learn to mix, you'll paint better!), all power to Duncan for valuing himself where GW manifestly didnt and a hearty lol that as a consequence of GW's miserly approach to their talent, they now have to contend with an entire rival paint range

I felt a little bit tempted and would like to support him. But I've invested heavily in the citadel paint line and I have enough colors now ... I hope it goes well for him though!

Do people think cities of Sigmar will get a new book, or they will divide the faction?

  11. Nice. That box with orcs seems filled with miniatures. Happy for those that like orcs!

I'm working on my 4th Bladelord, and I haven't built the whole dominion box. I guess I'm in the minority since I have no rush for new stuff! But I understand those that want the new books for their factions at least!

They didn’t change any word in the old warscrolls when second wave came in

I have two of all the first units then :)!

I haven't opened the newest one. I will keep it until 2060 and see if it's worth something then (probably not).

I would probably sign up for a year to wh+ if I felt it was worth it. Right now I don't feel it is. But it might be in the future! After all, it's not that far from the cost of a model\unit. And you get one in the price.

If you could get all the rules in both 40k and AoS, then I would totally feel that it would be worth the price.

Sorry to point this out, but a some of this isn't fact - it's assumptions.  Let's wait until GW actually makes this move before condemning them shall we?  I'll also point out that the AoS 3 rules are still available to download - without warscrolls you can't actually use them.

Not having the warscroll in the instruction booklet also makes a lot of sense.  Firstly I've yet to meet anybody who actually uses them and secondly we're seeing the life expectancy of warscrolls measured in around 3 years - this makes boxes of miniatures out of date pretty quickly.  If you take the warscroll out, the boxes are valid for a much longer period of time.

Then we have the Lumineth warscrolls that were valid for 7-8 months?
