Looks like there will be no added units in the future. At least for the time being... No Tyrion :(.....Still super stoked though!
They never release rules that they don’t make models for, so Tyrion not being in the book right now doesn’t mean he never will be. But a second wave was always going to come with a new book, not with rules in this one.

Oh no worries it’s a one time use artifact you have to take when using that glade that lets you pile in during hero phase, very handy
...no? Frozen kernel is used at the start of the combat phase, which is after you have already rooted your Hunters.

First thing that sprung into my eyes reading the article was the fact they tell us the box gives you a "nifty 1000 points" I cannot get that to add up to the WD point values we got a whole back 🤔
It says it gives you ”the makings of” a 1000 pts army, ie the necessary start of one. Not that it adds up to a 1000 pts on its own.

Hi folks ! So glad that the lumineth are finally up for pre-order !
Since the 3 inch range on the warden's spears is just confirmed, I have an actual rule question :
If I were to place my spearmen in a line with their spears in front of them preventing an enemy mini to be placed there, (as the spears wouldn't let sufficient room to place a base) would the ennemy unit be unable to attack with a 1 inch range ??
Thank you in advance for your answers !!
No, you would simply turn your models around to make room.

I really don't get wjy there has to be a core rule book in the set. Didn't notice it before, but it really bothers me...
Does it really matter? It’s a 20 page booklet, removing it wouldn’t affect the price at all so they might as well chuck it in there.

Not only is Lumineth one of the smaller factions, as has been discussed endlessly, the distribution of warscrolls is really weird. Unless there's some details we haven't seen, there's more hero warscrolls than unit warscrolls
That’s not really too weird though is it? Several factions in the game are really hero-heavy, take Flesh-eater courts (8 heroes, 5 units) or Fyreslayers (10 heroes, 3! Units) for example.

Looks like this sword either has a thorny vine wrapped around the cross-guard or some kind of ornamentation made to look like it
I've got another theory; that ornamentation almost looks like two stylised fangs.

The Warcry cards show hammer bros without helmets. Why didnt Gw showed those as well. Would have reduced the backlash from those that didnt like it.
It’s the unit champion, it’s unlikely that they have enough bare heads for an entire unit.

Are the hammer dudes with hammers / diamond picks and the giant cow avatars our only dual kits at current ?
As far as we know yes. And the hammer dudes look more like a weapon option rather than another unit entirely so not really a dual kit.

Speaking about them....stardrake has 2 builds, Vermilord has 4 or 5 builds, Ancient tree 3 builds, etc... if the teclis mini is stuck to ONE build, it'd add a layer of disappointment on a miniature that already disappointed a lot of people out there...
At least, they could have pushed the concept to a mounted/fighting phoenix to get another behemoth...
Alarielle or Katakros are better comparisons, and they are both single build-kits as well. The Teclis mini is so specific that it wouldn’t make much sense to also have it turn into a generic hero.

That clarifies things but rises new questions: can we use it more than once per turn? Can we use it when it is at dice=1 (=cast+1) ?
Example: 2 Lumi wizzards around it. Dice=3 (for example). Wiz1 casts at +3, then dice=1. Iets say Wiz1 has another succesful cast dice=2, then wiz2 cast at +2 ?
Or just having it constantly hand out a +1 to every casting attempt 🤔
With the news from the WD that at least some of the unit champions are wizards as well, it should be pretty easy to charge up the stones every turn.

Anyone got thoughts on how the "Sigil of Yngra" would work? the rules seems to reference "this model" but its a spells so cant be targeted by attacks right? Was thinking maybe its a garrison thing? Seems pretty strong to be able to give something +1 save and -1 hit for incoming attacks.
None of the spells shown have their complete rules previewed (the Crystals only show that you get a bonus of some kind for example, not what you use it for) so the Sigil probably has another rule that tells you what it applies to.

Steedmaster, High Sentinel, High Warden, and Truestone Seneschal are most likely the unit champions for those four units. Nice confirmation about the Stoneguard's weapon options.

They said the endless spells preview is a Lumineth Lowdown so hopefully that means we will see it tomorrow already.

I’d hope the bonus was just like +1 to wound or something, otherwise he’s really going to punish any hero unlucky enough to get into melee with him.
Probably not going to be +1 to wound rolls since he already gets that when charging, so far GW don't seem to double down on redundant rules to that extent. But it's probably also not a flat 3 damage per attack since that would be crazy as you say.

What spell would you suggest? I could take Arcane Command, but with only one cast for the Boneshaper I doubt I'd be using it much. I'm interested in the trolling power of Protection of Nagash but I don't think it's worth it to use it on a Boneshaper. Reinforce Battle-Shields isn't bad, but it's only for MW so... Drain Vitality is ok, I guess and Mortal Contract looks good but is pretty situational.
I haven’t played Bonereapers myself, but since you can’t cast the same spell more than once per turn your spell choice made me react.
I think Drain vitality looks very good against the right target though. A lot of models do extra stuff on hit rolls of 6 so forcing them to re-roll those and missing out on the bonuses can be very useful.

At the end they also said that they’ll be talking more about the book really soon. I’m sadly hoping they’re going to release it soon. Have I jinxed it?
The entire last paragraph certainly heavily implies/hints that Eltharion and the book will be available pretty soon.

Mortisan Boneshaper (130)
- Artefact: Lode of Saturation
- Lore of Mortisans: Empower Nadirite WeaponsRunning the same spell on both Boneshapers feels a bit restricting. I know it gives you options from where you want to cast the spell, but since the built-in spell for the Boneshaper is pretty situational you will often end up with one of them casting Empower weapons and the other one not being able to cast anything at all (well, there's always Mystic shield I suppose). I would consider looking into taking another spell for one of them.

Hey guys! Probably been asked before, but do we have any news/info on if/when the new Chaos warriors and knights in the start collecting-box will be available separately?

Yeah, the Wardens have a long sentence which says that for each Warden unit you take in your list, one Sentinel or Dawnrider unit can count as battleline.
