    Kragnos huh?....

More like Krag-not! Gordrakk is going to make him his ****** and ride this usurper like a pony at a kids birthday party.

Cant see big G bowing to... that.

Wonder how thats going to play out.

I’m interested to see how the power dynamic works if Kragnos is seen as a god then what’s stopping destruction from just following him.

Yes, plus new faction and stormcast stuff

Fingers crossed, I’m imagining it could be destruction vs stormcast. Im interested to see the direction they take with more mortal stormcast and destruction aligned

    You now have every warscroll*!

Brokk is such a unit, I really want that guy.

Start out with a few Arkanauts (regular ones, Thundrik's are nice alternate sculpts), paint 'em up and see what you like. Then try a balloon to see whether that paint scheme works on that.

    That should translate to ships.

I recommend a cheap airbrush, there's a lot of metal, and Vallejo's Metal Air, as wel as their regular model colour Gunmetal Blue are brilliant through that.

*Except the Cursed City one, but it's best to forget Cursed City ever almost happened.

Haha I even picked up the cursed city one separate from the box as it was on eBay and less than £10 so I though when I shouldn’t but why not.

I have an airbrush so that will be really handy, I’m not sure I’m a colour scheme yet though, I want to put more effort than usual into these guys as there’s less of them

    You've made quite a start!

You then have 2*10 Arkanauts 180,

    5 Thunderers 120,

    5*3 endrinriggers/skywardens 500,

    3*Gunhauler 390

    Frigate 250

    Admiral 110(?)

    Endrinmaster foot 100

    Endrinmaster balloon 220

    1870 points.

You have enough battleline in Zilfin, Nar, Urbaz and if one of the Endrinmasters is general.

You also have a hidden hero. The dude in the top of the frigate is a Navigator (100).

This means you're just "missing" an Ironclad, Khemist and Brokk.

I'd make a few 1000 points lists, and see what style of play you like. Then add the few items you'd need to focus on that playstyle.

Additions you may not think of are the Dwarf Giants Blood Bowl team, that (if you can source/kitbash/print a few backpacks) gives you alternate and dynamic sculpts for relatively cheap, and the aforementioned Thundrik's profiteers.

Oh no it’s the most recent battleforce that doesn’t have the arkanauts but has Brok in.

I went to my Warhammer store and ordered the admiral, navigator, then the thundriks profiteers for the khamist. I also bought an iron clad lol

  5. I’d have disregarded the idea of new Lumineth so close to the second battletome until slaanesh twins were shown.

I think that list is a bit wish list though. I honestly think we will get the rest of Soulblight, Idoneth underworlds, kragnos maybe and then maybe a hint or reveal of 3.0

It's a bit hard to say what will be good in Kharadron on the longer term, with an edition coming out soon. Which is nice, you can start building and painting what you want!

First, the Thundrik's Profiteers set is brilliant, for the price of a Khemist, you get a Khemist, two Arkanauts, a Thunderer and a balloon boy. It's a good taste of what the faction gives you, with a few models to test your paint schemes.

I'd say the Battleforce if you can get it.  It gives you a big ship, small ship, balloon dwarves, Arkanauts and an Admiral. Where Thundrik's is a teaser, this is more functional..

Expanding from that, either the Broken Realms (if you like balloons more) or the Start Collecting (if you like infantry and boats more).

Hi thank you! I picked up the 2020 force with the two small ships, a medium one, 6 ballon people, and a hero. I also got arkanauts, a start collecting and the broken realms set.

  7. Hey short people, stuck up knife ears here. I’m reading about the sky dwarves and I’m thinking of starting a small army of them. What’s the best way to start? I have seen the battleforce, start collecting, and broken realms box available at my flgs but I’m honestly clueless

  8. Regardless of the state of cursed city returning or not the way GW has handled it is appalling no matter the reasoning behind it. Telling almost every comment on Facebook that it’s a long term product then acting like they never said it by the time it had been and gone is ridiculous, a simple apology to the people who missed out on it based on what they said would’ve helped, maybe even made to order sets. They need to sort their communication between teams/with the community out.

i mean i don't think they where ever going to delay for a year to be honest, maybe just a month really

Who could have known with Covid anything’s possible, I think it’s clear it will be sooner rather than later though the way they are pushing BR. I was expecting a similar gap to what we had before.

In fairness no GW have not said anything of the sort. Their replies are along the lines "we'll tell you when we know" and "currently there are no plans to return this to the webstore."

We're all expecting CC to be around like BSF. And to be clear so am I. But GW's communication on this is amazingly bad.

Also just look at the website. The CC page says "No Longer Available Online".

Crimson court (which also sold out on preorder day btw) "Temporarily out of stock Online"

I'm sadly thinking there was a genuine mess up here. CC was NEVER meant to be a limited release but GW are acting like it is. If this was like Indomitus and they wanted to cover their blushes with a made to order run - they would have done it. Genuinely that was a demand issue. This isn't this is a supply issue. Also to be frank it's a marketing mess up. Every influencer got a copy. The game was hyped to hell. And no warning about stock was given to customers by GW or by GW NDA reviewers (b/c of GW embargos - which is a  fair enough practice). To me it looks like Marketing made a plan AS IF this was a full proper release. Not a release with a supply chain problem. So I think they've gotten screwed over too.

NOBODY plans this kind of thing. And even in Covid this is avoidable. The only thing I can think of is the Evergreen / Suez Canal blockage. This was a disastrous product launch because every time GW talk about CC now it will just annoy everyone apart from the people who got one.

The problem right now is not the unavailability of the game it's the silence from GW about a) what happened and b) what's going to happen. This might well be because they don't know!! But the issue remains, the corporate silence is not helping. It's not adding to FOMO - it's making ppl resent the company. GW need to say something and soon.

It’s a wait and see situation the way I see it war com have been actively letting people know it’s not a limited thing, as a business tactic for the long run they’d be losing profits and kicking Warhammer quest in the shin for future expansions as they’d have limited the audience for them. Right now they are making lots of money, war com have said to many people it’s not limited, they do not care that people are panicking about it as it only benefits them financially. Their communication is utter rubbish, literally all they need to do is put out a statement on war com to clarify matters, it’s no different to when they said releases are being pushed back but they don’t explain what, it just causes confusion and panic. The fact warcom are replying to people saying it’s not limited instead of the usual “we will let you know when we hear more” means at the very least it was intended to be long term.

On a casual chat with a guy that imports GW in bulk, he was told by GW that there will be more copies of Cursed City avaiable for him to order soon.

I trully belive this game will stay in production for a while.

To add to that plenty of third party retailers are taking back orders, my go to one is being sent a restock later on too. I know there’s often miscommunication between what Warhammer community say and what’s true but they literally told every comment mentioning availability that it will be a long term thing just like black stone fortress.

with Indomitus they were very clear it was a celebration event, they wouldn’t do this with a arguably smaller sub franchise, however they would take advantage of hype and FOMO as they are a business.  If I’m correct I believe Blackstone had expansions however I doubt they would repackage this with an expansion at a later date as it would increase the pricepoint for entry which is currently a RRP of £125, I honestly believe people do not need to worry.

  12. I had to pass up a copy of cursed city as I have too much and my partner would kill me. I think the FOMO is getting to people so why would GW clarify the stock if the mystery works in their favour? The way I see it it’s a long term product literally no reason it wouldn’t be probably just limited production due to covid.

On the topic of previews I’m 99% sure we will see one announced this Sunday or the following one, it’s about time for one and we are still awaiting the rest of Gravelords, there’s a few rumour engines with chaos stuff that could align with Belakor. I think we could see more on Kragnos but that’s more wishful thinking based on how fast they have been revealing these things recently. Also looking forward to seeing the Idoneth warband.

Hahaha.... well, not much for me yet. My FLGS doesn’t do preorders due to the crappy allocation issues they’ve had. But I ordered three: bladelords, windchargers, and a ballista via GW.  I’m asking my FLGS to get them (always try to buy there first) but we shall see.

Still conflicted on which book to get. :/ do I get the new one which has everything in it, or get Teclis which has the cool story stuff in it and carry two books.... although I’ve been printing out the warscrolls to make life easier...

OH!!  Speaking of, have any of y’all made/found/printed a system to organize all the scrolls/stuff?  I use AoS reminder, but having played X-Wing and Legion, I really like how all the “data cards” fit into a card sleeve page in my binder, making it easy to carry and use.   Thoughts?

Nice!! Yeah if my local gw store was open id buy there as they are great but I’m not buying full price if I’m not supporting them, so I went third party and still spent £405.

I got both books mainly as the battletome is all in one. I wish they added a bit more to it but oh well. I haven’t touched warscrolls yet, i don’t even know how to play Warhammer as I starting painting properly July last year, so I’m just collecting the armies I find cool to paint and will try them out when they open.

This is a pretty safe guess.

From a business standpoint I cant see that Mortach kit bringing in too much more $$ for Gdubs. It's in a SC that's soon to be non existant with the replacement of the skeleton kit as is.

Also with Gravelords on the horizon I'd love a new and different take of a Neferata model.

I actually think this would be likely. They could do new models for the vampires and a new obr model for arkhan

  15. That was an interesting read, at least the story is more impactful than what was hinted in the white dwarf. I’m interested to see what’s happening with Tyrion and also what alarielle is up to. It seemed like Teclis is wounded from the nagash stab. I’m interested to see the implications of Arkhan being destroyed. I think nagash obviously still lives and just needs to recover, but arkhan might be dead for good.

    Very excited.
