I won’t be painting a banner myself but fair play for using your models to make make this statement.  All these things help to make a difference - no matter how small they might be by themselves they all add up to something bigger.

Of course, I do not wish to encroach the banner painting on you, but I am glad you like the idea.

    Have a lovely day

  2. Hello everybody, due to recent events and terrible death of George Floyd, I decided to dedicate a model to the Black Lives Matter campaign. I chose a banner bearer from my skeletons to dedicate, because that's the only army I have, and I painted his banner with the Black Lives Matter symbol on it.

    P1040841.JPG.83f0580d57f3d988a68312344d6b279a.JPG

Now the problem is that I am terrible at freehanding, but there are people out there who are absolute masters at it, and should probably copyright the while concept since they basically own it. So I invite all of you to participate in this fun challenge, and pick a banner bearer from your army, and dedicate it to Black Lives Matter. You won't win anything, it's just for fun. So here is the rest of my model.

There I did BLM on his shield, that stands for Black Lives Matter as I am sure you all know.

Here is the whole model, which isn't done, but the freehanding is.

I also tried to make their bone colour more like a black person's skin tone, compared to my other skellies, I know it's not technically correct, but it's just for fun really.

Go on, have a go, we all have a banner bearer somewhere, support the people, and paint a beautiful mini. I can't wait to see yours!

I would like to say that I would like there to be only a little political discussion if any, as I know that the hobby is for many people an escape from real life.

Anyway, just try painting the banner, you can't do much worse than me, and you might as well have a go.

  3. I am actually making a diorama at the moment, that is an ossiarch fortress, and I am basing it on the descriptions in the bonereapers book, so I found some good supplies to make the bookshelves, and bottles for some workshops and laboratories, here. It also has all sorts of other things to make scenery out of. I know it is not ideal, but I too have been scouring the web for ossiarch terrain, and have realised that unless I spend many, many hours online, I have to take matters into my own hands and build some terrain.

I too have been very disappointed that they didn't release some scenery with the bonereapers, they probably made those battlements out of green stuff or something, then made a mould to make the impression that because of the uniformity it was going to be a set.

I hope other people have better suggestions than me.

  4. I think that Games Workshop have created unique architypes for the 4 grand alliances, and one of the main one for new AOS death, is that it is difficult to get range unless you invest a lot of points in weak missile weapons like the tomb banshee's shriek which isn't a great option anyway. However, I do think that in the future, when they expand armies like Ossiarch Bonereapers missile weapons will start to creep into. However, I may be mistaken. I'm only quite new to AOS, so maybe I am not quite attuned to the ebb and flow of how games workshop releases products.

I can't believe the pain you went through in assembling them... You're a hero. That being said, I finished my first group of Bladegheist Revs and I absolutely love the models. I tried to go for a cursed blade look.

    IMG_20200422_074401.jpg

Wow, they look really nice, I love that cool blue effect on the ghostly parts, and the blades are very well done.

I also went for that kind of look with the blades for my 20 bladegheists,

But I failed my edge highlighting 😥, so it didn't look great.l

Luckily, I was just getting them battle ready, and will at some point improve them.*

Love that you named all your units, I want to get around to do that for mine too :D

    So yeah, I'm into death.

But, that is not all, I have large plans for the future. This is the army I want to collect by the time I die (life will probably get in the way...😒)

The plans are unfinished but I will be updating them. Eventually there should be one per death army. The estimated points total should be around 100 000 points with around 5 000 models!!!

Here is the link to the spreadsheet.

Just looking at it makes me fell excited...

  8. I've created file that is based on the Glymmsforge Catacombs campaign that doesn't have the background art so it doesn't cost all the ink in the world to print. I have got a docs one and a pdf one, they are the same.

    Enjoy!

P.S. The Battleplans at the end aren't quite the same size, sorry!

P.P.S.I have not Included the Warscrolls, but if you have the Soul Wars set, or have lots of Nighthaunt models, you should have them anyway.

New campaign released by GW. This time featuring the models out of the Soul Wars box set.

Have you noticed that there is a problem with the boss table, where it says D6 when it should be D4. Or do you think that the 5 and 6 are just rampage, charge and advance.

+ the spell nagash‘s protection which let‘s him teleport out of combat if he wasn‘t killed by the first model attacking him.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that! I think that a new Ossiarch army is coming to my collection.

Something to keep in mind is that any time a single model or unit takes up such a large portion of a list the balance will be wonky--it could be very strong or very weak based on context. That is simply the nature of having so many eggs in one basket. Taking this further it means that when properly pointed Nagash will simply end up being weak sometimes. If he was always strong that would be a massive red flag.

Second, and this is BIG: Nagash is pointed assuming realmscape rules are in effect. That means he has seven additional spells to draw from based on the realm you are playing in. This increases his utility by an immense margin. Now said rules are not for everyone but understand that if you are not using them that IS a house rule, and one that penalizes Nagash more than any other model in the game.

As for LoN overall. One game I played against them and my opponent had a unit of 30 grimghast reapers which I killed despite him bringing back models to it from gravesites. For 1 cp he returned the unit to play at full strength, and I killed it again despite him bringing back models to it from gravesites. For 1 cp he returned the unit to play at full strength again, and I was well into killing it off a third time when the game ended. He paid points for 30 grimghasts and ended up deploying over 100. As his opponent that was not fun for me. At all. An army with allegiance mechanics of such potency will never be balanced because the units need to be pitiful to compensate, which just creates a whole new set of issues.

    I can't agree more.

He‘s pointed for the use in Ossiarch Bonereapers which make him ridiculously strong due to the spells and traits he gets access to.

I was thinking, Petrifex Elite Nagash would be OP, 2+ save and re-roll 1s. Also the command ability could be used with other units' command abilities.

I love Nagash and death but its so sad that they make him so unplayable its not even fun . Why have LEGIONS OF NAGASH !!!! if no one is scared to play them. If anything they are happy to, because its an easy win. Yeah sure playing lore is lots of fun but owning a God and never winning with him or just keeping him collecting dust is just depressing. Specially Nagash who is at the center of the lore atm. AM i just crazy or is 880 points waaaaaaay too much for pitched battles. ??? am i missing something?

Although I am not an expert with Pitched battles, Whenever I have taken Nagash, he has always payed off by keeping the other small units intact.
