,Just found out that had 2 boxes of Scourgerunner/drakespawn chariots, from back when Cities of Sigmar was first release. Was relly hyped for CoS, but never got it started when the book was release.
Now I am thinking of getting back into AoS again, and would love to do some Cities of Sigmar (Would fit in with my friends starting gravelords and orcs )
Is it viable to do a mixed race army, how does the dark elves models hold up ? .. Will it all be gone when the new cities models get released ?

Trying to make a 1000 point army to build towards, how is this for a starter? ..
Notnsure what subfaction, traits and artifacts to go for either.
LEADERS
Poxbringer (145)
Rotbringer Sorcerer (145)
- General
BATTLELINE
5 x Putrid Blightkings (250)
10 x Plaguebearers (150)
2 x Pusgoyle Blightlords (220)
TOTAL POINTS: 910/1000
Created with Warhammer Age of Sigmar: The App

With how expensive everything is in this book, how viable is it to make a, mainly mortal, 1000 point army?
And how fun is this army to play with/against compared to the other chaos armies?
-
Sounds great. So an army with maybe a lord of pain, and some painbringers as battleline could be an okay start? ..
And what are some of the prefered units to summon?- 1

Thinking of starting some chaos in the new year! .. Stuck between Hedonites and tzeentch. (ANd hoping for a slaves to darkness rework).
But what are some essential hedonites units? .. ANd what would be a good start for a 1000 point list?
thanks.

Is it viable, in a casual sense, to make a 1000 point list without any frigate/ironclads? .. only gunboat, balloon boys and stuff like that? ..
-
The last warscroll might just be the underworlds warband sadly
-
Will there really only be 2 mortal slaanesh non named heroes? .. the lord of pain and the shardspeaker? .. seems to go against the "norm" of having a hero on a mount of sorts

that's a strange match-up question, as we don't know the rules for most of the hedonites in the picture , and what 30 ? .. just any 30, does keepers then count, there is a daemon in the picture after all

Nevertheless, I do have a question and I was hoping people with more experience could answer. As I said above "I do wonder how rules for him will work out. Those two mutants (ogors?) with purple crab claws look like they could potentically be melee monsters of Glutos. That Painbringer guy on the left will be a melee combatant. That leaves that guy with whip, the guy holding a platter with food on the right, halfling? and Glutos himself".
Could see them doing something similar to katakros, where the painbringers, cook, and other models die, and looses their bonus as the model takes damage. Can't image glutos os much of a fighter himself

Really doesn't make sense for me to get an army that isn't that bad only to be destroyed by some point FaQ in 2-3 months... I am not a meta gamer I own a fluffy sempiternal SCE army rn but wanted something more competitive hope it's understandable.
This could happen to any army, with the next faq, or a generals handbook. Properly not a good idea do base army choice on that, unless you are a high level tournament player

hey all, might restart my bonereapers while I wait for more vampire news, and the release of warhammer quest and the, all too awesome, underworlds warband.
Thinking of starting with a 1000 point list, so wanna hear what units are good to run, and how the different units perform.
might go for a mounted army, if viable, else one focused on mortek and harvesters.
thanks in advance for the help -
So the axe zombie and the shield skeleton are most likely for warhammer quest aswell ?
-
Great preview, really looking forward to warhammer quest .. But sad that there are no info about soulblight gravelords.
-
Wait, so no soulblight for AoS this time?

Early tease it looks. Definitely a rifle in there, might be Mechanicum judging by the butt.
hmm.. no signs of vampires in that preview preview
-
No idea what those are supposed to be. The right one looks like the fox spirit

Not vampires, but hopedully means the Slaanesh release is soon!
Believe it is pretty close, think we will get the preorder preview next weekend

Is it worth mentioning a reminder to not get too over-excited for the preview?
We've seen how these go in the past where people hype it up before hand then complain when there isn't much new shown off. Don't forget we already had stuff shown early due to the leaks that most likely would've been part of the Saturday preview.
Will say that this time, GW have hyped the release up to be something big. More so then they usually do

But but but the skaven are the reason for the necroquake, not nagash, go right some rats instead!

That is what I am afraid of, that a good amount of the models might go the way of the tomb kings.
Any other army that can give the same underdog feeling as basic humans against the horrors of the realms? .. Or another army that can give a kinda "old school" feeling against gravelords and orcs
