It was FAQ'd so that the ability only counts the total number of Enrapturess on the field once, and not per Enrapturess
Ah, that makes so much more sense. I did not see it in the FAQ, but I found it in the designer's commentary.
Well, that makes IE stacking much less of an inviting prospect. -
Speaking of KoS... I have been toying with the idea of plopping down 6xInfernal Enraptures - this will give 36 depravity points per turn, allowing summoning of one KoS per turn from T2 onward.
This sounds quite powerful, is there something I am missing? Are there better value summons? Is there a weakness in running 6 IE that cannot be offset with summoning?
(I would have to use proxies naturally, but it sounds like fun, potentially cheesy list I'd like to try)
Edit: also, question regarding summoning. If summoned unit is a wizard, do I get to pick a spell for it? -
No, my read on it is that the Trait just changes the composition of the Battalions, it does not specify that you must take them.

Oooh, this sounds great.
I would certainly avoid allies rules. You can freely include all StD units with Slaanesh mark as a part of Hedonist allegiance. You can't do it the other way around, including daemons in StD army, so Hedonist book is a natural start.
While building my lists, I was toying with the ideas of summoning, but I am not sure if that is a viable tactic, given how expensive summoning is.

One rules question - I am digging trough the Wrath of the Everchosen and looking up Faultless Blades as an upgrade to my Pretenders. Pretender general normally has two command traits. Text in Faultless Blades states:
"A FAULTLESS BLADES PRETENDERS HOST general must have this command trait in addition to any others it has.
Contest of Cruelty..."
Does this "in addition to any others it has" mean that the General now has 3 command traits or that one of the 2 should be this one? -

I would recommend expanding the marauders to 40 instead. Your list is heavy on the mortals, and marauders really want large numbers to keep their bonuses longer. It might be a good idea to swap the daemonettes out for a unit of hellstriders if you can (either weapon option is fine, though I consider clawspears to generally be the better pick). You won't really benefit much from such a large unit of knights, as they'll seldom all get into range. Either take a look at the slaanesh battalion from the slaves to darkness book (which is explicitly also a Slaanesh allegiance battalion) for a 6 inch pile-in, or split the unit into 2 5-man units. Also if you have the option to change it the sorcerer lord on manticore is a very strong pick, as their unique spell is basically a superior version of hysterical frenzy.
Thank you very much for the reply. It is definitely worth looking into larger marauder blobs. I am only concerned about managing to fit all 40 into all those "wholly within" effects.
Sorcerer is a good consideration, but I think I will stick to the lord, he is quite killy, and I love the model (I used the Slaanesh head from the chariot sprue and I love the bloke now). Maybe if I mount the Lord on the horse (Daemonic mount) I can fit in the Sorc on manticore.I am working on expanding my Daemonic options with stuff from Wrath and Rupture and I will definitely have to get my hands on some Marauders as I am currently using proxies. Bloody shame their models are currently so old.

So my first AoS game was today and I got wiped, mostly due to my lack of understanding of charge ranges, double turns etc. My opponent was able to dictate where the engagements happen and how and got optimal results. I am sure that with time my understanding of the game will improve.
However, I would like to see what comments you guys have regarding my list:
Allegiance: Slaanesh
- Host: Pretenders HostLeaders
Chaos Lord on Manticore (280)
- General

Chaos Sorcerer Lord (110)
- Lore of Pain and Pleasure: Battle Rapture
Chaos Lord (110)

Thanks for the reply, I actually have both battletomes and I have the first game coming up tomorrow. I will see if I can bash together a list and how it performs.

Hello everyone,
I have just picked up an old Slaves to Darkness battlebox and I have some daemon models picked up from here and there. My mark of choice is Slaanesh but I am open to both StD or HoS option when it comes to allegiances.
I essentially have two questions: how to make a decent list out of the models that I already have? What would be the next stuff to pick up?
I currently have:
Manticore with rider - I can switch Sorc and Lord - if Sorc is on Manticore, Lord can get a Demonic Mount (Spare horse from Chariot Sprue)
Daemon Prince
Exalted Hero
Sorcerer Lord
Gorebeast Chariot - There is an option to dismount the Warrior from Chariot, giving me a foot Lord with Flail (I know Flails are not great, but that way I have consistency between chariot and Lord weapon options)
15xWarriors (2x Standard, 2x Musician)
10xKnights (1x Standard, 1x Musician)
Chaos Warshrine
The Masque (I guess it can be proxied as regular Herald)
10x Daemonettes
10x Bloodletters (I know, they stick out like a sore thumb, ok for proxiing something else)
Edit: my first painted warrior says hi!

When running chariots, my assumption is that I should always stick a Bladebringer on it, in order to generate more DPs, correct?
