Ok, In all fairness Heresy is also getting - A Mini game version, upgrade kits, and Updated versions of Primarchs which are yet to be 10 Years Old. I don’t think wanting a Settra to the Quality of say, Horus Ascended is me all that Surprised, or brash because I’ve skipped a couple articles….. The Plastic Skellies are a bit of a let down but really happy to see a lot of the Tk range return (The Knights and Guard haven’t aged a day) But The Biggest Character Namesake of the Army, could very well have had a collectors version model - Something really special. And as an alternative to that if they didn’t go down the fancy resin model route, then a plastic update of which could also making a TK/Prince chariot.
It’s not that seeing Settra return specifically has irked me, it’s that not seeing his update, to me, kind of sets a precedent about what we’re going to see and not see for the other armies. I Know it’s a bit of a Knee ****** reaction. But if the Big Release army is not getting an update for it’s best known Character then what hope do the other armies have? That, to me Is surprising and not something I’ve read in any article.

I’m open about being whiny, And hand on heart the majority of this release has me a little hyped. But ain’t no way they’re just rereleasing Settra. The Sphinx, yes, the Ushabti even, decent models, ahed of their time. But Settra, I was hoping, would get a Nagash Level miniature.
Maybe I need to temper What I think the Old World is and compare it more to Horus Heresy.

I’ll put Primarch Quality Sauron in the same folder of sadness I keep Sigmar, Grombrindal not in fancy dress, and the remaining Aelf Pantheon.

Not unless those votes are pay per click (I hope I haven’t given them any ideas there).
They don’t make decisions based on polls, they do so based on revenue. I guess to an extent some of the armies are not just based on revenue………

Please gather around the Wishlist table with your Foil Hats and Bowls of Salt.
I’ve got a bit of a wild Theory based on nothing but hope. We’re currently at issue 495 of the White Dwarf. Issue 400, to my Knowledge in 2013 was a bit of a flop with near no celebration (but that was a Dark Time for Fantasy). But 300 and I think to an extent 200 did a fair bit of celebration of the Magazine and its namesake with a new miniature.
Would they be willing to let the 500th Issue (Thats a heck of a milestone), to go unrecognised. We got a Collective Series of Grombrindal Stories set in AoS, so he’s not dead yet.
I theorise a New Book and possibly a New model. But, again, this is just me at the Wishlist Table, Cooking Salt a la Foil.

I decided to return to this project (Blimey its been 3 years!)
I’ve just not been crazy on how he turned out, not least because he was massive and because the details I originally bought the bits for disappeared, so back to the chopping blocks we go.

The New Tomb Kings look spectacular, I hope they go all pit when they bring Settra back, full flying chariot wreathed in bugs, sand and trails of magic as it flies over head. He needs to be on par with Kroak as Centre piece for the TK. The New Emmissary is gorgeous, and so are the Swarms, which brings me to a sour point-
We (At least I) Love Swarms, we need more Swarms returning, Seraphon deserve their Jungle Swarms of Lizards and Snakes! How cool are the Swarms in Cursed city! More Swarms please GW.

There are fomo boxes, and then there are fml boxes.
I already have issues with boxes which have characters in what essentially is a miniature paywall. I’ve been pretty good to just wait the year out for any release where I didn’t want the infantry. But if that Dragon is tied down to those silly old Skeletons I think I might checkout from Old World.
How could we lose the Vampire counts kit but get these silly skellies back.

I missed the preview but have caught up on warcom, am I missing something or did they not say there would be something for “The World of Legend” - is that not Old World?
calender - My Heart says something like a magically enhanced Grail Knight, but that would be cool and in line with what I want, so It’s probably something for 40 K.

PD: I think TAU is one of my top armies from 40k 😅Its so peculiar, I just love the model. I follow the sculptor on Instagram that created the Howdah for the kit, he explains thats he created the Howdah when he was just a Trainee in the design team! He expresses in his insta post how he found the project difficult because he did not agree with miniature as a concept for Tomb Kings. Regardless he did a knock out job in my humblest opinion.
But that opens up the age old discussion of art, its value, “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”.
The way I perceive Warhammer is different to how others perceive Warhammer not least because I have digested and been influenced by different things throughout my life. So the Way you see a Bretonnian model is entirely different because I’m attaching different experiences and emotions to it. And that Just makes this Hobby all the more fascinating.
I wont comment on your love for the Blue Man group though…

I don’t know how I’d handle finally seeing Tyrion and Malerion in their God Form. Both are such important Figures in Warhammer Lore. So curious to see what kind of Mount Tyrion will be given, and Even more curious to see What they do with Malerion - an Enigma nearly 10 years old now. Given the quality Teclis, Ushoran and Alarielle, I’m sure these will be phenomenal.
Apart from Tyrion, Malerion, Kurnoth and Morghur are there any other big names in lore still waiting for their debut?
I suppose I could add Grombrindal in there as some form of Avatar/Unifier of the Duardin as I doubt will ever see the Ancestral Gods of the Duardin in miniature form.
