Inspiring presence :) At the start of a battleshock phase, you pick a unit within 12'' of your general (or 6 of another hero) spend a command point, and bam, that unit succeeds it's battleshock test.

Interesting. Ok that’s cool. I’m pretty new to the age of Sigmar scene. I’ve read a few of your posts and you seem to be pretty clued up on skaven.

Mind if I ask you some questions?

40 wounds is surprisingly difficult to chew through :) If you're denying battleshock casualties on top of that! Well.. ;)

Tanky through sheer health pool, as opposed to actual defense. Surprisingly effective. They also have a chance to deal a mortal wound every casualty in close combat, so you often want them to die.

Honestly one of the few units you enjoy watching your opponent tear into!

How do you mean denying battleshock casualties?

  3. So I'm new to skaven and chaos in general. I've just read the warscroll for plague monks even in units of 40, with no save and bravery of 5 how do these guys not just melt? Is there a combo I'm missing to buff these guys up?

I've been playing Clan Skryre a lot in the past year or so...a 24 model list mostly. As you can imagine, this can go badly sometimes in objective based missions. with the new Summoning rules in AoS2 there is a fix for this: Warpseer Verminlord. His command ability allows you to summon 3d6 Giant Rats per Command Point used per his Command Ability. Here are the bodies needed to claim objectives. So now you have Mortal Wounds (Spells, Warpfire Throwers), Mobility (inherent 6" move plus Gautfyre), resiliency (Stormfiends) and board control (Giant Rats).

What's your current skaven list looking like for AoS2?

I'm think of trying the skitterleap with Thanquol & Boneripper.

Nothing too concrete, but we're expecting Moonclan, Slaanesh, and maybe Darkoath. The first two are based on rumour engines, the last is based on harbingers.

I feel like with all the stuff I’ve read fluff wise lately Slaanesh has featured heavily so I think there could be a battletome on the cards in the future. The army badly needs newer models as well.
