I’m pretty sure that maces are not the best specifically for Retributors because of the high damage and mortal wound output they have with 6’s to hit on their base weapons. I looked it over and that seemed to make sense, but I also was curious about Protectors.
I was answering you about Protectors. The Maces also gain more from Unleash Thy Hatred since it's a doubling rather than +20% to attacks, effectively.

I know someone had said it was better to take the base weapons for Retributors instead of starsoul maces, but what about Protectors? Is it better to take Starsoul Maces on them or is it better to take the Stormstrike Glaives?
I believe the Maces are always worth it unless you are against something with no saves at all.

Anyone found a use for Bundo Whalebiter in SCE at all? Few real synergies but I at least like Kraken-Eaters best for their objective punting.

also does anyone know the timeframe it takes for Warscroll Builder to update their points/roster? I want to be able to use it again
When 3.0 released it was updated by Monday. So once the books are officially out it shouldn't take long.

Yeah Warhammer is definitely a long-term hobby, armies get better and worse with new releases and it takes hours to paint your stuff so you just have to roll with it.
Exactly this. I just keep rolling with Stormcast releases and there's always some list that's at least decent. I love Vanguard but it has had very brief days in the sun.

Wait can the Tauralon take Mount traits?? I read somewhere that the Tauralon isn’t listed under the Mount trait creatures entry. I haven’t gotten any definitive answer yet
Wow so it would seem. It lists Stardrake, Draconith, Dracoth, Dracoline, and Gryph-Charger. Hopefully that's something to be errata'd.

Here's my second attempt
Hallowstrike - Hallowed Knights / Scions
Gardus
Incantor (Azyrite Halo)
Lord-Relictor (Translocation, CT: Reroll prayers, Arcane Tome: Celestial Blades)
Lord-Arcanum on Tauralon (Chain Lightning, Mount: Celestial Instincts)5x Liberators
5x Liberators
5x Liberators
10x Protectors (Unleash Thy Hatred)
6x Longstrikes (Thunderous Volley)1990/2000
Need Warlord battalion for the 2nd Holy Command
Was torn between Tauralon or something like Castigators x6 + Aetherwings, or an Endless Spell like Geminids/Shackles/Lifeswarm. Decided on the Tauralon for his speed, synergy with Saintly Assault, +1 Hit boost, Mount Trait, and MONSTER.
I dig it. Might give it a try sometime as I have everything I'd need for it. Never got to use the Tauralon much so that's a nice bonus.

Important to note, I don’t wanna play too competitive considering none of my local players are building tournament tier armies. So I took some units because I think they are neat
Hammers of Sigmar Stormkeep
Warlord & Vanguard Battalions Holy Commands: Call for Aid & Thundeous Volley- Knight-Judicator (205) (general, don’t know command trait yet)
- Lord-Relictor (145) (translocation, mirror shield)
- Yndrasta, The Celestial Spear (320)
- Knight-Incantor (125)
- Vindictors x10 (260)
- Vindictors x5 (130)
- Vindictors x5 (130)
- Vigilors x5 (195)
- Raptor-Longstrike x6 (480)
This looks fun and not bad. I'd make the Relictor your General and give him High Priest if you don't need anything else specific. You have enough Vindictors to not need the Vigilors to be battleline.

It's a keyword on their warscroll.
EDIT: As Requizen corrected below, it's not on the scroll -- it's in the list with points and unit rolls. -

I am thinking of something like this, but with modells i already own (Except for Bastian of course):
Bastian
Lord Relictor
10x Liberators
10x Liberators
10x Liberators
10x Judicators
4x Concussors
You have too many reinforced units, I think. You can only reinforce 4 times in 2k points and you seem to have done 5.

Question for the masses: Since the Holy Commands are enhancements, could we take more than one with the Warlord/Command Entourage battalions?
I can't imagine why not. Magnificent just reads, "...you can pick 1 extra enhancement." Section 27.3 mentions army-specific ("unique") enhancements and doesn't suggest they should be treated differently at all.

1 person plays SoB sometimes here. The knights Excelsior ability only activates if target has more models, would that factor into 2x5 vs 1x10? Protectors or Retributors?
Personally I wouldn't worry about it too much. It's a nice bonus if it comes up but Paladins will already blend a lot of hordes so building around getting +1/+1 when outnumbered isn't a concern for me, it's taking down the proliferating big monsters/skyships/etc. The big unit gets the full benefit of Unleash Hatred, All Out Attack, or any other buff available at the time, where the small unit is less buff and Translocate efficient.
-
I don't know if you have Gargants in your local meta but I benchmark against killing a buffed / unbuffed mega (4+ vs 3+/5++). Your toolset looks good my only concern would be that you have to hit them piecemeal a little bit which means they get to activate more in between before you can kill one. For that reason I keep my Paladins in a unit of 10. In an Unleash round they can almost take a 4+ save mega down in one attack sequence, so if it has taken a little damage already you are golden. I definitely wouldn't take Castigators over Annihilators myself on almost any occasion, but YMMV.

Probably repackaging. Happens all the time.

Here's what I'm looking to try out for starters, since my Dominion stuff won't be painted up for some time yet and I'm going to be picking up the rest of the new releases slowly this time. My main opponents are Sons of Behemat, Kharadron Overlords, Nurgle, and Ogors. I upped the small unit of Libs to Sequitors just because I had points left over. Suggestions? I have almost any models available pre-3rd.

I am looking for an alternate sculpt for the hellstrider rider models. Any recommendations? I know some people use deamonettes with whip on them but I want my riders to be humans not deamons but not nearly as muscular as the current model and I hate how the current model legs are spread way beyond the mount it s riding
I'm using dark elf Dark Riders on Steed of Slaanesh myself. They have lances which I use as the clawspear.

If you did field them as Averon Stormsire & his Cursebreakers, The Farstriders, and Steelheart's Champions that's 500pts even. No warscroll yet for Ironsoul's Condemnors per se. Downside of using them as the warband warscrolls is that none of them count as battleline even though the Champions are Liberators.
If you were to use them as generics and flesh out the Evocators from 2 to 5 and the other 3 units from 3 to 5, you'd have one battleline unit (the Liberators) and a total of 700pts. From there you have a lot of options. If you got a Lord-Aquilor the Vanguard-Hunters count as battleline, or if you got any version of a Lord-Arcanum the Sequitors count as battleline. If you just keep the Knight-Incantor to be your general, or get a different general, you'll need another unit of Liberators or of Judicators to be your second battleline unit.

That’s fair and how I play it. I just feel they should’ve done more with the faction quads.

Every now and then the Venator will pull off that Star-Fated Arrow shot too. I one-shotted a Vampire Lord last Meeting Engagement with him. He had the Ethereal Amulet for 3+ unrendable but I went for it since I had no better target. Hit, wounded, failed his save, max damage, bad deathless minions roll, dead. He had other heroes but that probably won me the game.

It's Anvils of the Heldenhammer, so the artefact and command trait are set. The Prayer is Translocation to move the Longstrikes when needed. I think I have the spells right in my post above but it's been awhile so I'm not 100% sure.

Where do you see such a statement? I do not see any such in the rules and believe you are mistaken.

I don't know much about Cities units, but you might want to take this over to the 3rd edition thread to get better visibility.
