    You can get a unit in the increments shown in the points table. But you can then take less models. But remember if you don’t take 10, you don’t meet the one in ten requirement for the special weapons. (I’ll source the rules for this part later. Can’t find it right now. But I’m pretty sure that’s how the special weapons works)   

    I maaay be thinking of either the previous edition of AOS or 40k....🤐

    You pay points for 10 but just take 9, iirc you can only take one understrength unit of each warscroll.

    Yeah, My local GW has the same for certain products, its down to shelf space and then goes mail order only.

    It does Appear to be the case,  Its probably due to the fact that they are a unit so have to keep together.

If you look at the rate of new books so far this year they are up to 6 including the two previewed at adepticon, which will probably be released in April. so by that math then I think we will get a rapid release of possibly 10 new tomes this year, probably similar to 40k codexes release rate of last year. I, for one am very hopeful that we will get a new book, terrain and "aetheric items" this year,sooner rather than later would be great but probably later as we are getting fireslayers soon.

    Im expecting the nightvault warband preview, IIRC the last two for shadespire were released in April last year so timing would be correct. Probably not alot else for KO but I may be surprised.

  7. I can handle losing and, as others have said, Its about managing your expectations. Knowing and understanding both your and your opponents army helps massively. I have also found the workbook that can be found on the honest wargamer (https://thehonestwargamer.com/player-workbook/) very helpful. 

    If I lose to someone, I tend to look back at my game and try to work out what I would do differentyl.

    My biggest frustration when playing a game is playing against someone I dont find sporting or a slow player. I can sometimes feel like I have wasted my time after one of these games.

    It's not so OP. It's 1 turn (your own turn) of -1. You'd need to complete a charge after setup to get the benefit in the combat phase.

    I play it as any rule that "sets up" a unit, so vexillor banner, lightning strike, translocation etc. As you say its far from being OP as its only the turn you do it on not the battleround.

    I believe It does work for the vexillor banner but not for the lord Arcanum's ability as it says on the scroll that you "set up" the unit on the battlefield. I remember the facehammer guys describing it as such on their Battletome review. They are the play testers after all.

    The spells are available only if you play in that realm, you get artifacts based on which realm your army hails from.

  11. I think there maybe some legs in large blocks of Arkanaughts, They negate the Look out sir so character sniping would still be a thing. Utilise the battleshock immunity from the admiral to make them stay around. Units of 10 Thunderers with rifles and the obligatory Riggers to fill the remaining slots. Include the normal support of a khemist, use barak Urbaz for the double buff, and of course a navigator for some magic dispels. I haven't looked at the points of the list but it should be doable in 2k even if you have to take maybe 1 smaller unit of Arkanaughts.

    I know what you mean. I play My Legions of Nagash, Look at my KO and just think they are so damn cool.......out they come again. Same thing with my Khorne and my Stormcast. Best looking army by far in my opinion with a very cool story and a great theme. I am sure KO will get back to somewhere near their best but it probably wont be until at least GHB 19 or maybe even longer, we just need a new book.

    I have gone for the loupe for the obvious dispell and made the admiral better at what he is good at. I have another khemist, an Ironclad , a gunhauler and a frigate available as well as some stormcast i could ally in including lord ordinator and incantor. I was thinking of going for the realm of shyish to give the admiral the ethereal amulet but i think of he is targeted by then he is probably dead anyway.

    Footslog the infantry and use the riggers and brokk for hunting or objectives. Maybe swapping to 2x3 on the riggers.

     

    Thoughts?
