What do you tell the people quitting who don't want to keep up with the more powerful armies who don't want to have to keep buying models to keep up?
That they need to rethink their priorities and reason for playing the game. Do they play the game to win tournaments? Then they gotta keep up with the meta and that means to burn money and time. Do they play the game because they like the models and the background, even if it's just for their own army? Then not being at the top of the foodchain in tournaments shouldn't be their main concern.

Anyone else hate bonereapers?
For me they are just far too extreme in their look. It comes off as wacky.
I want to like them. I really do. But the more models I see the more I see things I dislike.

I'm not sure if it had been mentioned before, however once I've selected a post to quote I'm unable to delete that quote because another element is on the exact same spot but infront of it:

But then why is there always so much complaining about balance if balance is something not really considered or cared about?
Because aiming for balance is good even if GW has a hard time delivering.

The character himself looks good, but just as I feared I dislike the walking chair a lot.

That begs the question: if the game is considered by so many to be inferior or badly balanced, why then do so many people play it?
Because it's still balanced enough to be fun for the most part.

Speaking from experience with GWs ability to balance their games ... it will never ever be 100% balanced. There will be better times and worse times but ultimately it's very swingy and one is better off focussing on the fluff and models of their army and accept that the game is not always perfectly fair.

I don't agree on such a rule but I'll respect it. It's not like there's any other big AoS forum I could go to instead lol

I loved facing a good zombie themed list back in whfb. The only advice I can give is less of a tactical one though. Just don't water down the concept in chase of efficiency. There's obviously a limit for how strong such a themed list can be or it'd be the most played type of DEATH list on tournaments after all.

There might not be much eye candy on the new SCE model, however it's still nice to see the classic heroic poses every once in a while. Warhammer wouldn't be warhammer without those.
If you want it to look more interesting, treat it as canvas you can personalise to fit your own guys.

They usually do the previews all in the week before the preorder unless their hands get forced by some leaks or such.

The Slaanesh problem is mainly due how their Depravity Points system works. If only your characters can generate those then you obviously want to take as many as possible so you can use it properly.

Yes and no.
It can quickly be disappointing to pick an army that isnt much fun to play as the powercreep sails by
Unless you can predict the future that's no argument though.

I keep telling people, pick an army because you like the looks and lore, not because it's strong right now. The competetive-ness of an army can do a 180° whenever GW decides to but it's unlikely they'll retcon the lore or trash the models to completely reinvent them anytime soon.
Unless of course you are a hyper competetive player and don't care to burn money chasing the meta.

Had the same problem but it's fine now.

It's a pass for me. I think I've pretty much decided to go with Nighthaunts instead of Bonereapers as my DEATH army. It would require just too much conversion work for me to even just like them.
Maybe one day a small warband or something though.

I'd honestly like to see a change so that depravity points can get produced by any of our units but also an increase of dp cost to summon units to counter-balance it.

What's this prediction based off of? What's an Astrolithic Skyshrine? 🤔
The Skyshrine is news to me, at least the name, however a friend send me this about a week ago so it seems to be true:

The newer releases have killed the Nagash release. Look at Fyreslayers, GLoomspite, FEC..... they're all way more powerful than a horde of bones.
That's what he said.

A funny away to do that would be a big narrative arc around Skaven (synched with a big Skaven release) which ends with Nagash messing Skaven plans 👌
I'd pay to see that.

Possible but I'm actually a bit more pessimistic about it. Pumping out all these models in a separate system allows them to explore such designs without needing to introduce them into the main game. They do something similar in 40k and even mentioned that approach in interviews.

A friend of mine posted this in our Whatsapp group today. Yay for Endless Spells and terrain!

Well, a friend of mine posted this in our Whatsapp group today. Maybe this guy is just a first look of what's to come for Ogres. ^^

No matter what it is or what it means ... the model is awesome as hell!

Using him without his chair is definitely an interesting option that would at least save this model for me. At this point not enough to make me start this army though as there's still too much about the other models I don't like.
