I don't think there is any reason to take Disciples of Tzeentch Beastmen over the Beasts of Chaos ones appart from "1 in every 4" and not allowed to be Battleline (in matched play)

I thought that the new FAQ that changed "Tzeentch army" to "Disciples of Tzeentch" was just made to stop that (and lose Allegiance Abilities in the process), but I've asked the question with Archaon in mind and it seems that nothing has changed and you can still use all Allegiance Abilities:

Imho, if you don't have any problems with "1 in every 4" or battleline, just take the Beasts of Chaos Tzeentch units.

    Many Thanks. :)

Strictly speaking, I don't believe there's anything preventing you doing this providing you abide by the 1 in 4 limit.  However, I'd not bank on this staying as valid because it's basically a cheeky way of paying less points for units and many opponents will think you're taking the micky.

Many Thanks to all.  I was looking for some restriction that does not allow it to be done.

is there a reason you want them as a coalition unit? because all the Tzaangors are part of the Disciple of Tzeentch army and are count as regular units with no restriction when playing Tzeentch.

Tzaangors, tzaangors enlightened, skyfires are cheaper in beast of chaos battletome than tzeentch battletome.  That´s why i have that question.

    Stupid list idea...

    Allegiance: Legion of Chaos Ascendant
    - Host of Chaos: Legion of the First Prince
    Archaon the Everchosen (800)
    Keeper of Secrets (360)
    - General
    - Ritual Knife
    - Command Trait: Ruinous Aura
    Viceleader, Herald of Slaanesh (120)
    10 x Daemonettes (110)
    10 x Daemonettes (110)
    10 x Daemonettes (110)
    5 x Seekers (120)
    5 x Seekers (120)
    Host of the Depraved (120)

    Total: 1970 / 2000
    Extra Command Points: 1
    Allies: 0 / 400
    Wounds: 89

Because archaon needs to fight twice have a 6up fnp (5up near the general) and plus 1 to wound on the charge And summon daemons...

Please, read the Legion of the First Prince again. :) Thanks

This is a list that I used on the w/e; it faced non Petrifex Bonereapers, Cities of Sigmar and KO. Won all the games due to the resilience of the list. In each game I managed to go first with fewer drops and was able to buff up Archaon and spawn Horrors (it really needs to be changed in matched play to only be able to summon blue horrors and not pinks imho)

Going forward I think I might just take the Harbringer of Decay as the General and swap the bolt of Ruin on Archaon for the Echo of hatred to get some additional damage through.

Emerald Lifeswarm was ok; but only healed a single wound all tournament (usually because I either failed to cast it or the wounded stuff was already dead - undecided if a Command Point would be better

    Legion of the First Prince.

    Archaon
    - Spell: Bolt of Ruin

Gaunt Summoner on Disc of Tzeentch
    - Spell: Spirit Gouge:

    The Contorted Epitome
    - Command Trait: Ruinous Aura
    - Artefact: Fourfold Blade
    - Spell: Echo of Hatred

    Harbringer of Decay

    10 x Plaguebearers

    10 x Plaguebearers

    10 x Plaguebearers

    6 x Screamers

    Endless Spell: Emerald Lifeswarm

Hi. Why you used the Legion of the first prince?

So who do we think are the best battleline for this army? Plaguebearers get the minuses to hit, daemonettes are fast, and I think bloodletters are only great with buffs from BoK stuff. I think I like Daemonettes most.

I think, maybe pink horrors are the best, because, they shooting, split in blue horrors, and with the legion of the first prince, you can return pink horrors. It's my opinion. 😊

  7. Q: Sometimes a keyword will be listed in its singular form  in one place and its plural form in another. Are the plural  and singular forms both considered to be different keywords?  For example, are the Bloodletter keyword and the  Bloodletters keyword different keywords?
A: No. The singular and plural forms of a keyword are  synonymous for rules purposes.

I don't know if this faq can help.  But when i read it,  I thought we can return the slain models. :)

Thanks to all for the answers
