  1. I’ve noticed unless my maths wrong, rerolling 1 to hit gives 18% increase in wounds. However rerolling 1 to save as in standard spell benefits units with better saves. A unit with Standard saves of 5 only benefit from 9% less damage when rerolling 1s whilst units with save 3 benefit from more than 50%. Does this mean mystic shield is bias towards certain units dependant on their save or have I extrapolated something from nothing?
  2. If ability states “you can...for friendly units when they are within x” of this unit. Is the actually unit providing the buff excluded? specifically Nagash’s bidding and nightmare lantern. also continuing nighthaunt abilities questioning. Captured soul energy ability of spirit torment occurs in both opponents and my Battleshock provided 3 enemy models killed. thanks all.

  4. Currently just new and working 1000 pt armies. Just wondering whether I should aim for 12 myramourn banshees or 6 spirit hosts. Spirit hosts get a lot of good press with natural hit rolls 6 mortal wounds but my army has a single wizard (GOS) so thought the unbind ability is useful as there so many wizards and with KOS additional attack ability banshees actually seems like they would pump out more damage and -2 rend 1d3 doesn’t feel too far off 1 mortal wound on a 6......? What do people think?
  5. Regarding locus rule if spirit hosts roll against tzeentch hero any 6 is not an automatic hit as is turned to a 1? Does this override the a 6 roll to hit is always successful? Also presumebly means spirit hosts would only hit on a 5. also as roll was turn to 1 before rerolls or modifiers does that mean if spirit hosts could reroll 1s buff on them they can reroll 6s that are converted to 1 by Tzeentchs buff?
  6. Been looking for ways to make my nighthaunt not as squishy. So love deathless minions and spectral lure! as you can’t alter their saves any tips on maximising resurrection as that’s a trait I really enjoy. Mainly resurrecting spirit hosts as my friend always try position so he charges and clears them out first!
  7. 2 quick questions that I’m looking for clarification on. 1) cycle of storm on lord arcanum. If nighthaunt did 5 damage to sequitors. I apply first 2 damage and opponent removes a model then on this ability puts it back a 1 wound. I continue to apply my 3 wounds so the next damage removes the model again and then the final 2 remove another. This correct? 2) deathless minions trait. The sequitors got 4 wounds thro with great mace to spirit hosts. At 2 damage a wound I played the spirit hosts now roll 8 dice and negate a damage each 6 rolled. (They rolled 3 sixes so only 5 damage gets through) is this correct? Thanks.
