Phoenix Temple will probably get a city that gives them more options and access to Lumineth in BR Teclis

It's because the AoS core rules were written very quickly by people pressured by corporate suits to make it as simple as possible while retaining as much warhammer as possible. It's why there is a static to hit and to wound roll when just combining the two makes the most sense. It's why the game is still IGOUGO. These rules weren't thought out and rushed (reminder that playtesters were ONLY allowed to playtest with the 1e starter kit). 2E brought many good changes and its up to future editions to fix the problems this game have had since launch

On the warscroll there is an attack profile for a single exile blade and an ability for a pair of exile blades. When you take a pair of exile blades do you attack with that single exile blade twice in addition to the ability or is it just one exile blade and the ability?

The old City builder from Warhammer Community would fit that so incredibly well.
A real shame they didn't carry that forward to Cities of Sigmar. I would love to make some Aztec themed freeguild with a Seraphon enclave

Subfactions should cost points. GW can already barely balance factions and the internal balance of sub-factions is always abysmal, with one or two obviously good picks and a handful of awful ones. Just make them cost points and remove the mandatory artefact and command trait

The Oathmark kingdom building mechanic would have been amazing back when there were no battletomes and it was just the grand alliance books. I could imagine stuff like you'd pick your "capital" faction which gave you that micro-faction's allegiance ability. Then you'd expand with stuff like "sylvaneth glade" or "swifthawk agent spire" and it would expand your roster pool.

Lol all our points went back up again in the new FAQ, GW hates us

Glaivewraith Stalkers
I love the model and try to fit them in but they're just so bad at everything

The GHB FaQ says that things from previous books aren't legal in matched play, does this mean legions of grief isn't legal anymore?

I can't open the document on my(admittedly old) phone but that sounds neat.
What's your plan for the spell lores? General high magic or going for what you'd expect they'd conjure in the realms like the Lumineth's Hysh focus and the Phoenicium's magic?
Planning on doing something similar to the old high magic lore from fantasy.

Working on an unofficial battletome for the squatted high elf factions, planning on play testing what I have so far and then after that adding:
-battalions
-subfactions
more spell lores

So you're telling me the 4 pages of rules were just quickstart rules meant to be followed up by a larger core rulebook? And they just scrapped the core rulebook and we'll probably never see it since 2ed is just those quickstart rules again?

I’m only skimming but I didn’t read enough mentions of warcry.
Warcry is an amazing way to start the hobby for young ppl or ppl on a budget.
2k is an awful way to start AOS imo. Start at warcry then move to meeting engagements.
If Warcry was around when I was a kid I think a lot more of my buddies would have started to play table top games.
Let me expand that a little more
Warcry > Skirmish > Path to Glory > Meeting Engagements > 2000 points

I exclusively use the secondary market now.
-
It's trash because faction terrain is usually poorly sculpted and doesn't mesh with the aesthetic of the table.

Has anyone used any of the warcry units in their army? How did they preform?
-
So how will this work? How often do you plan on updating the map?

Faction dice are used exclusively by WAAC players who hope you don't notice the couple extra "5's" they grabbed

Play Warcry or Hinterlands

A GW game will never be balanced, 40k is only more popular because GW operates entirely on sunk cost. Since they pushed away many people with armies when Sigmar released its going to take a while to build up a community that large again.

Love it! I like your restrictions on Mortal Wounds. It keeps them under control. Also, I was wondering if you plan to add faction abilities, and perhaps spells. At least for the Battletome factions.
I do plan on adding factions that have a 2.0 battletome first. So far I only have the grand alliances. Once I finish all the recent battletome factions I'll do stuff like Bretonnia, Swifthawk, etc.

Made an alternate command system if you aren't a fan of cards.

I wish they made varanscribe a mobile app as well, it would make things much easier

Maybe they will be the tyranids of AoS but with more of an "old gods" elements played to them. Swarms of insect cultists worshiping a primordial god of the mortal realms who seeks to destroy all the new gods that now rule his domain.
