Chaos Lord:
To versions: big blade and sword or big blade and flail. the big blade is 3 attacks +3/+3 -2 2 damage, the sword 3 attacks 3+/3+ -1 1 damage and the flail are 6 attacks 4+/4+, -2, 1 damage.
He has the traditional mark of the gods habilities
with natural 6 to hit with the big blade it deals 1 extra mortal wound
I can't read properly his command hability, but basically it allows one slaves to darkness unit to fight one extra time during combat phase or something on those lines.

Hey guys. monitoring this thread as I am interested in starting a StD army. Got my eye on the Godsworn Battleforce box which still seems to be available in lots of places. Would people recommend that?
One thing putting me off is a bit of fear about the models. I am primarily a hobbyist, rather than a gamer, so I favour the new more dynamic models. The warriors look a bit uninspiring in single pose. But what is the rest of the army like? Is the manticore a good looking model?
FWIW i'd really like to see them build on the darkoath chieftain/warqueen models and the new leaked warcry warband that looks similar. that would be an army aesthetic i could really get behind
About the Manticore, a little trick. If you don't like the face of the manticore you can attach the mask/helmet of the chariot bloodbeast, I have done it and makes the manticore look pretty badass

@Lightbox In fact I run a list with a blob of 30 chaos warriors aided by a warshrine and they can sit in an objective for ages.

6 x Furies (100)
BEHEMOTHS
Chaos Warshrine (170)
- Mark of Chaos : Khorne
ENDLESS SPELLS / TERRAIN / COMMAND POINTS
Eightfold Doom-Sigil (40)
So, not a perfect list, but you guys all underestimate the warriors of chaos. They where nearly impossible to kill due the rerolling saves and the ocasional +1 save from the warshrine.
The list have errors, I should have put the nurgle mark on my second Daemon Prince, or not take a second DP at all. The 10 warriors with great weapons underperformed too, and the Eightfold Doom-Sigil only was useful in the last match.
However, the khorne command ability of the DP is utterly broken. The MVP of the game by far. Also, it was a good call to include the 6 furies. Having a fastmoving and flying unit, with the possibility to retire from combat has been pretty useful (the last match was the relocation orb, and I won that because of my furies chasing the objective while the rest of both armies were fighting at the center.
I'm not a pro player, but I thing STD is an army where having your units in good position matters a lot. Also, if you go heavy warriors, you can resist a lot (they receive a full squig rider charge, manglers included, and not only survived, but managed to lose only three models)
I dunno, I like this guys
Also, I recommend taking three wizards really, the STD spells are almost all good (although I won't take the Call to Glory anymore). Mask of Darkness can win games.
Cheers!
