I just finished a game with a almost full sacro sanct army, the list was the following:

    • Hallowed knight stormkeep.
    • Grands strategy: precious sorcery
    •
    • Lord arcanum on Tauralon: celestial menagerie, azyrite halo, drakescale armor, call for aid
    • Lord relictor: translocation
    • knight incantor: celestial blades
    •
    • 3x5 sequitors
    • 5 evocators
    • 3 dracolines
    • 2 stormdrakes
    • 2x celetar balista
    • Everblaze comet

On this setup sequitors delas MW when charged, can fight back after they die, can make a sqaud of 5 reapear somewhere else...etc. Tauralon is a tank, stormdrake brings utility and HUGE projection, translocation is a game winning ability....etc.

    Against a khorne list:

    • reaper of vengeance:
    •
    • Skarbrand
    • wrath of khorne bloodthirster
    • bloodthirster of unfettered fury
    • khorne deamon prince
    • bloodsecrator
    • slaughterpriest
    •
    • 20 bloodletters
    • 5 flesh hounds
    • 10 bloodreavers
    • 5 wrathmongers

On paper very frightening, and it was, skarbrand may be fragile but he deletes pretty much everything he touches, the bloodthirsters are nice but not a huge threat for our tanky army and the rest is negligable.

the scenario was APEX PREDATOR, which was in the favor of my opponentn since only heroes can score and secure objectives in this scenario.

Long story short i won 24/17, tabled him and only lost the tauralon (with a pro double move skarbrand who then charged into my poor poor bird to delete him from existence) a couple of sequitors and my squad of evocators so here's my thoughts of sacrosanct:

Tauralon: great utility, he synergized the balistas and the drake thanks to his command trait so well!
He helped a lot for objectives and tactics and can tank very very well thanks to the drakescale armor and a couple of armor buff, very vulnerable to MW though. B+

Balistas: Very good unit, picking one is too little and 3 sounds like too much points for such specific niche (sniping low wound heroes) but they do that perfectly! combine this with a couple of MW here and there (which this army pumps A LOT) and no <6W heroes should survive long. A+

Sequitors: in this particular setup they deal MW when you charge them, then again when you kill them, they can fight back when they die on a 4+ AND they get a natural 5+ ward.
you can put an extra squad of them when needed with "call for aid", they are simply amazing. B+

Evocators/Dracoline: Evocators feels great with the current state of translocation (which is broken BTW) and play almost like annihilators with the extra layer of utility on the MW (you can charge and fight a sqaud and use your pile-in movement to "slide" arround the unit and snipe a character hidden behind with your zap zap).
Dracolines are better in every way, they punch with so many attacks that you will deal damages and the extra MW are very appreciated. They play the same as before and do it slightly better so i'd say they are pretty good. B+

incantor: cheap and have a scroll, not much else but he's really really appreciated! B+

Lord relictor: i hope they FAQ the translocation because right now it feels like cheating. other than that he's a beast, he's versatile and his ither spells are nice. As long as translocation stays the same he's an auto include! S

Stormdrake: the have everything, what else can i say? MW that AUTO HIT on a shooting attack, MONSTER keyword, a decent volume of rend 2 damage 2 attacks making them valuable in combat AND -1 to get wounded...... why would you not play a sqaud of these in every of your game? S

Stormdrake guards range attack is not an auto hit. 1-2 simply does nothing.

  2. I've been thinking about this list, not sure if it has enough bodies though.

Bastian is in the list basically for deployment tricks, if the opponent takes the first turn because they think they can kill my longstrikes i redeploy them to safety or just put them in reserve.

Both holy commands for longstrike double tap and paladin attacks. Use bastian with relictor to send him in into smaller chaff, let him take damage and fight with him last so that he can heal himself each turn.

Buh or yay? I do feel lika aetherwings can be swapped for 10 skinks.

Baller. Did you drop all the Annihilators in one go or trickle them in?

I dropped them 2(1st round),2(2nd round),1(3rd round) so that they all got money for their worth. Cant wait to try them with 2 handed weapons

And if this is too unreliable for you, you can always take a lord aquilor instead of the relictor. It’s 70pts more and it costs a CP but then there is no chance of failing anymore. And he’s more survivable in the age of d3 mw slinging across the board.

But the Lord Aquilor moves the unit in the movement phase not hero phase so its not a substitute for relictor at all.

And its 120(not 70) points more for this ability since you have to buy another cp to be able to shoot double aswell.

    Hey all!

Been thinking about building a Phantasmagoria list just cause i think it would be funny to play something fast and hard hitting.

I want a list that i could go 4-1 with if played well. Do you guys think this list would be able to do it or do i have to change some stuff? :)

Thought process is you get the taurus out there to protect you from losing turn roll, taurus negates the opponents strongest units being able to kill your enlightened since they fight last. Taurus also gives me a fair chance against slaanesh aswell and is good against OBR with their blobs of mortek.

Use geminids and arcane suggestion to give a unit -2 to hit and -1 to wound so you can sasfely get your guided by the past with one of your enlightened units. (Could swap geminids for another 10 ungors for more screening and objective holders).

Host arcanum cause you get free unbinds in round 1,3,5, free summon of 6 screamers and the 6" pre game move for d3 units. This could possibly make your enlightened able to move 25" first turn if you wish to alphastrike or get your wizards in range of spells first turn.

Not sure about the second artefact, word is here in sweden we might see less and less of realm artefacts so i dont wan't the list to be dependent on one.

Any tips or flame are welcome :D

I've been thinking about going for a melee Tzeentch army. Thoughts on the list?

    Allegiance: Tzeentch
    - Change Coven: Hosts Duplicitous
    Mortal Realm: Shyish

    Great-Bray Shaman (100)
    Fatemaster (120)
    - Artefact: Ethereal Amulet
Gaunt Summoner on Disc of Tzeentch (260)
    - General
    - Trait: Will of the Phantom Lord
    - Artefact: Brand of the Spirit Daemon
    - Lore of Change: Treason of Tzeentch
    10 x Ungors (60)
    10 x Ungors (60)
    20 x Tzaangors (360)
    30 x Bestigors (300)
    9 x Tzaangor Enlightened on Disc (540)
    Phantasmagoria of Fate (200)

You dont want ethereal on Fatemaster, the amulet negates his +2 against melee. Paradoxical is better.

  8. I would argue the best combo for BoC as Phantasmagoria of fate battalion in Tzeentch allegiance is to run ungors for screens and pair that with skyfires/enlightened on discs with a great bray-shaman for that nasty 19" move.

So with this you have cheap screens, hard punch, a bit of magic and also summoning to back it up. If you run a gaunt summoner and pick the host arcanum as your coven you summon 6 screamers and 10 pinks for free first turn. Thats 30 fate points worth of summoning.

  9. The only issue i see is the lack of long range. The output of desolators if they can shoot in the hero phase and shooting phase is pretty good since its mortals. It has potential to kill keepers but will have issues against other shooting because of the shorter range threat. You can probably do a solid 4-1 with some luck in matchups

  10. First of all 12 Longstrikes is a weak list. Second i dont want to protect my stardrake, in this list he's there to draw attention. My mages are the win condition, ballistas cant snipe heroes very well. Only hardship is longstrikes, against an anvilstrike list i will get to go first though and will be able to kill a few of them.

  11. Here's a list idea im brewing:

    Tempest Lords

    1 extra CP

    1 LAoF

    2 Incantors, aetherquartz brooch

    1 Lord-exorcist, Patrician helm

1 Lord-celestant on SD, general and Bonds of noble duty

    Grand convocation battalion

    3x5 Liberators

    2x10 Skinks

Endless spells: Comet, pendulum, geminids, Purple sun.

So basically the list is all about casting the endless spells, buffing them to oblivion with movement using LAoF CA. And while spending all these CP you get 2 chances of getting each CP back with brooch and Patricia helm.

What do you guys think of this list? Its more of a softcore list, playing cause fun but i reckon you could do well with it. 3/5 at a bigger tourney.

there isn't a lot of sense to take a lord arcanum if you don't take sequitors as battleline. Take a knight incantor instead, or, if you really want the -1 to hit, the lord relictor. It give you enough  points to replace the desolators by fulminators, who are the heraldor's best friend.

Mainly taking him for the cycle of storm, d3 arcane bolt.

But i get what you are saying.

    Cheers for the feedback

  13. Hi!

I've wanted to try a Stardrake list for a while now.

What do you guys think of this:

    Leaders:

Lord Celestant on Stardrake, general, staunch defender, smouldering helm, storm-winged

    Lord-Castellant

    Knight incantor, speed of lightning

    Lord Arcanum, celestial blades

    Knight heraldor

    Battleline:

    Liberator 5

    Judicator 5x2

    Other:

    Desolators 4

    Endless spells

    Everblaze comet

2k on the nose with the new points changes.

I don’t think this is right. You can only move within 3” of an enemy unit when charging and/or piling in

As such, aetherwings moving within 3” in your opponents charge phase isn’t legit.

Yes it is legit. It has been faqed.

It doesnt count as a normal move and as such you can end the 2d6 move within 3". Which puts the eneny in combat and unable to charge.

  15. I have a tournament coming up in June, I'm going to play Anvilstrike but not sure what to bring for the last 220 points. Anyone have any tips? Don't like the idea of 5 more evocators, feels like i should be able to use the points better or am I wrong?

    Knight-Azyros (100)

    5 x Liberators (100)
    5 x Liberators (100)
    5 x Liberators (100)
    10 x Evocators (400)
    9 x Vanguard-Raptors with Longstrike Crossbows (540)
    3 x Aetherwings (50)
