May belong in painting, but figured someone specifically in this channel may already have an answer. Anyone come across a good speed painting process for that lighter color, some what washed out skin that the night goblins have? Last time I did green skin was green wash over yellow base, which looked great for that bold 40k Ork skin, but not so much for these guys.
Someone posted one way back, but searching on mobile on a nearly 90 page thread? Blarg.
my suggestion, don't start with a yellow base. Start instead with like celestra gray, zandri dust or rakarth flesh, then wash with like cammo shade.. twice if it's not green enough for you.

ok, here is where I ended. I have the cauldron do get some solid casting out of my hag.. I feel I have plenty of offense that I can double as objective holders (that are going to be a nightmare to peel off of objectives). Does it look like I am missing anything or have anything weighted to heavily?

@InfernalStone one of the most important things to remember is that in a gloomspite army any gloomspite wizard heroes get to take an extra spell from their lore. Combine this with any realm spells and the strength of their personal spell is kind of irrelevant.
not Gloomspite. only Moonclan Wizard and Spiderfang Wizard. Hag (for example) doesn't get the extra spell.

So I've NEVER built an army before... in any game. ever. 😜 But I've been eyeing AoS for a long time and Gloomspite pushed me way over the edge into actually building something to play. Basically I'm looking to start buying a 2K army with the intent of playing buildup games with friends. This is the list I've come up with.. Mostly built on the rule of cool... Just wondering if there's actual synergy here, or if I'm going to be tripping over myself. (and most importantly.. what to order and start building. CNC super welcome. (please???) Also with the Shrine 0 points.. is it worth just always bringing it? Or is it sort of a hassle to get value out of (in the game.. visually it's amazing, and seems to be a good value.)

lol I watched the SAME video... yeah, it looked great but I don't want yellow robes 😫 However it does seem like a solid concession (if you're ok with it) for the sake of speed painting.
I'm really in the same boat.. looking through the Battle tome I like some of the two color robe schemes. I am thinking base coat the whole model with a lighter color (probably the hood color), apply a wash of green over the skin (can hit the hands here as well). use a darker color for the body of the robes. IMHO the best of the bunch was dark purple hoods with "black" robes.. but I don't think there's a damn way to speed paint that scheme....
