  1. Yeah I agree about the need to move the rules to an all encompassing electronic system. The rule dissemination is so inefficient and haphazard,  I gotta buy my army codex, malign sorcery, GHB, etc just to play the damn game.  and the never-ending faq’s, for example, evocators can know a spell from invigoration yet the warscroll isn’t updated to reflect that.

SCE may be in a weak place right now but hey, this is ultimately a game involving a strong elements of chance, so we should still be able to do work if we play right and the dice gods favor us! Just gotta roll hot fire 🔥 😏. But regardless, it’s an opportunity to learn to have fun and be gracious even when we lose with SCE.  Easier said than done for sure.  I’ve always felt it’s an uphill battle to win with SCE, we have limited bodies, and no summoning, in a game that’s dominated by having bodies on objectives...

  2.  I’m curious if folks have any advice, need to decide if I should build my model as a venator or azyros? I’m a newbie and have only played A few games so far  with people admitedly taking it easy on me. I used a similar list to this one but i didn’t have the phoenix yet and was using the grand convocation Battalion. Or any suggestions overall?  i want to have an azyros, venator, or prosecutors because the winged models are so awesome.

I don’t need a world-beater list for tournaments but I don’t want to get obliterated every time I play. Although I’d like to win against my friend who also just started playing warhams. He always kicks my ass in chess and go so I want some sweet revenge in the mortal realms!  He has legion of sac with Arkhan, necros, and nighthaunt units.

im considering the attached list, or doing the knight-venator and an allied skink starpriest, instead of the azyros and archmage??

@PJetski has the correct reading. If you consult the rules on "units of wizards" they elect a single model to cast and/or unbind each action. This would also follow the wording for manipulating the cogs. They are all also considered wizards so long as there are at least two of them in the unit.

Righto! I stand corrected. Thanks for the clarification bruddah!

Definitely get more Dracolines, if you can. A block of 6 with castellant lantern and cogs for a 3+ rerollable save are hard to move, and with the celestial vindicators command trait they do absurd damage.

I don’t believe evos can activate cogs?  Warscroll says “a single wizard” can manipulate it. Evos are not  a single wizard, only a wizard when they are 2 or more models.

I don’t see why it wouldn’t? They're cast just like any other spell

Foooo shooo! Agreed. I was overthinking it. The balewind vortex does not increase the range of endless spells and the stormcast artifact staff of focus does not affect endless spells cast with it.  So I am not sure if endless spells are considered as a unique event distinct from casting a normal spell or not. But both of those cases are due to the endless spells having their own warscrolls, so in the instance of the Phoenix it’s probably triggering his ability. Don’t think dispelling an endless spell successfully would count as a successful spell cast to boost the phoenix’s save tho

  6. Question, can I do a relictor bless weapons on a ballista?   I’m sure it’s not as good as putting it on a big unit with lots of attacks,  but I’m just curious. So if I understand it, each hit roll of 6 would be 2 x d6 hits  cuz each hit is already d6 hits and bless weapons doubles up the hits if you roll a 6.

But the ballista warscrol says it is d6 hits for every hit roll that scores a hit by the ballista.  And bless weapons isn’t a hit roll per say. So if you roll a 6 on a hit, would that mean it’s d6 hits + 1. Or is it 2x d6 hits?

    Thanks!
