Is it just me with my careless reading of the battletome, or there are really few ways to buff the Arrowboys and their ranged attacks?
This is what we have (but i'm sure there is more!):
Freezing Strike (Icebone Clan's Ability) : 6 to wound = -1 rend
Strength of Purpose (Drakkfoot Clan's Ability) : negate ethereal and fnp
Brutal Beast Spirits (Lore of the Savage Beast) : +1 to hit
KUNNIN’ RUKK (Battalion) : no explanation needed
Bone Spirit (Maniak Weirdnob Spell) : 6 to hit triggers additional hit
....
that's it?
I excluded Big Waaagh! Allegiance bonuses purposely
Volley Fire command ability for re-roll hit rolls of 1.
Breath of Gorkamorka: Double/triple movement & fly
But yeah they don't benefit much from Big Waaagh! either.

I'd say for the most part the game is balanced, I think there will always be some outliers though. We do have an issue with hordes being favored over elites, monsters and chariots are mostly below average, and assassin heroes go unused.

A middle ages army is too generic for the Mortal Realms.

All of our subfactions are viable. The rogue Idol is not an auto include at all. We actually don't have an auto include unit or hero. There have been a healthy variety of competitive lists being used in GT's.

Orruk Warclans is strong, you're looking at one GT. Everyone and their uncle though is playing OBR now.

It's supposed to be a cosmopolitan force, if you're playing a mono list and failing, that's on you. Also CoS doesn't need stormcast to win.

Chompas have 3+ to wound instead of 4+. But the amount of additional rolls you gain via 2" reach is better.

New models and rules. Look at the Godsworn Hunt (Underworlds), Darkoath Chieftain & Darkoath Warqueen for what Darkoath looks like.

Slaves to Darkness is a Chaos Undivided force. It's the classic Warhammer Fantasy "Warriors of Chaos".
Everchosen is Archaon and his Varanguard. They are also Chaos Undivided.

They aren't coming back. Orruk Warclans is three books in one and it doesn't include Greenskins.

I would say it would be another combined book. It's just faster to get these factions updated that way and less books overall is a good thing.

Probably going away. I think arrowboys won't be the MVP's anymore but will have a support role in the army.
As for hero synergy, I think keyword bingo still applies. The tome is three books in one, so I expect there to be incentives to playing each army individually or mixed. I think this would be a good thing as it promotes inter-faction competition.

No. They're order. The real questions to ask is if the factions will be discontinued or what models will go out of production.

A complete overhaul from top to bottom of traits, artifacts, battalions, etc, etc. Even a name change is needed.

You're going to want a weirdnob shaman in your list so you can deepstrike on your opponent via Da Great Big Green Hand of Gork.
When you're stating Gore Gruntas x4, brute x1, and ardboys x2 does that mean the number of minimum sized units?
