  1. I can understand choosing Celestial Warbringers for the rerolls because the the Bow-Knights have high quality of shooting and would love to have those rerolls.

The most curious thing about the list is that he chose to go with Stormkeep instead of Scions of Storm. With the Scions you can hide all the Bow-Knights in the sky and still be able to shoot and do MWs when you drop them. Putting them on the table might be risking of getting shot since 1drop shooting LRL is a thing.

Virtually nothing, although you'll sometimes get it for "free" since Megbass CAs affect multiple targets - it might help you pile more models onto an objective, get Brutes in tighter to those 1-wound chumps than they would have been off a single pile in, and so on.

I doubt you'd often use it for this, but you'll sometimes get a minor ancillary benefit.

One of my local players pointed out this section in the Core Rules:

    12.3 COMBAT ATTACKS
After you have made all of the pile-in moves for a unit, you must make
combat attacks with each model in the unit that is within range of an
    enemy model (see 13.1.2).

meaning that you must attack after piling in, is that making any sense?
  3. Some abilities allow certain unit to "receive" a command without a command being issued or a command point being spent, does it surpass the core rule that you can only use the same CA once per phase as it let certain unit "receive" the command without actually "using" the CA?

  4. Is ward working as the way as previous wound shrug ability? The ward says it’s “before” you allocate a wound while previous wound shrug says “when” you allocate a wound.

Gw didn’t change the old rules in the FAQ, is it intended that the ward and wound shrug are two different things and therefore can be stacked?

  5. LRL can cast the Prismatic Palisade to block the line of sight of their own archers, and their leader can use the lantern to target our heros (in most cases would be Volturnos himself) and shoot him off, ignoring the Forgotten Nightmare rule.

It might sound a bit weird but LRL gets this nasty trick. Dunno if anybody has talked about this one before.

  6. I know everybody is happy with lifetakers having +1D and +1 rend on the charge now.

But what about their drawback? 5 wound with 6+ save at 80pts does not look very durable as we are in a shooting and magic meta.

Rating them as harassing units might not seem appropriate because we have shadowstalkers which is insanely great atm.

Maybe people rate them as glass hammer damage dealer when charging?

  7. Can’t see why people are arguing that Std units become useless in Slaanesh army. Since almost everything with hedonite keyword is crazily pricey, Std offers way cheaper options.
Is Std a bad army atm? I don’t think so. Losing exploding on 6s wouldn’t hurt too much because Std unit still get to their rerolls from Chaos Sorcerer Lord and the warshrine.

Maybe a pleasurebound slaanesh with Archaon could be great.
