This guy I painted for the Golden Serpent competition on Lustria Online last Year:
With the idea in my mind of an agile and striking old blood pursuing a victim across the jungle I started working on this mini.
The first step was to make the Olblood look unique, to do this I used some bits from the carnosaur kit and the remaining weapon and head options for the old blood to create my guy. The first step was choosing the correct Bits, I did this by using silly Putty to put the pieces together and pose my guy:

After that I glued everything together, magnetized the arm so that it could have different weapon options and used green stuff to sculpt everything together:

After this I had to create the base, for it I used cold porcelain and a mixture of branches earth and stone:

Than it was time to start painting the guy on top.
I first started with a Black Primer.

Than I proceded to paint it to have a base of the colors I thought would give me a good starting point for my end result. At this point I already knew that I wanted to use Blue, Yellow and Pink in my model and that I wanted it to be super saturated

After I had my base colors ready, I started to work on the skin and the transition to the scales, making it so that it wasn't so abrupt. The skink I tried to use a mixture of purple and brown for the recesses and highlight with a mixture of yellow and bone on the edges, this was probably the longest part

I continued doing this until I felt confortable with the results, at which point I added some small dots to the pectoral muscles to give it a little more depth.

Following this I worked on the scales, here I used very simple techniques of layering the blues to get to a lighter blue at the edge of the scales, and I decided to break the monotony by  painting the middle scales different.
Latter was time for the face, and probably the part that I enjoyed the most, I pretty much used the same technics explained before but added sume glossy medium to the mouth

the last part was the metals, and a slight OSL on the hand of the gods weapon he carries

Having finished the Oldblood I worked on the Goblin, the hardest par here was working on the face and the free hand designs.

Here is How It ended up looking after everything was put together:

    Hi Everyone,
Warhammer has always been a big part of my life, however It was 4 years ago when a friend re-introduced me to Warhammer Fantasy 8th eddition that It really gain a special spot in my heart.
From then on I have been improving my painting and conversions skills by putting a lot of hours into the hobby. In doing so I have found that feedback is one of the main driver that help me improve and that is the main reason why I started sharing my painted miniatures in Lustria Online, Instagram and Now The Grand Alliance Community.
Although I don't usually offer commission painting, I have received a couple of requests during the years, so if you are interested just email me at xlanax2lot@gmail.com and we can see if it is something we can work on.

HI Guys here comes another project I really enjoyed working at.

For this one I stated playing with the idea of having a skink priest that looked a little more savage so that it was my lore of beast caster in 8th edition. to make it clear that he was a beast caster I wanted to make some conversion so that he was casting the number 6 spell. Transformation of Kadon, in which the caster becomes your choice of monster.
I wanted him to look like the spell was just beginning to cast, but making it clear where it was going, and that is where it all began.
I first started by choosing the model that I liked, with was the skink priest atop the engine of the gods, with the bird skull as a helmet. Starting from a black primer, I focused on a lot on the contrast on the muscles as you can see below:

I Continues doing this until all the skin was finished, adding some purple on the deepest recesses and white for the highlights. I also started experimenting with a little of NMM on some of the gold and painted the bulge in the neck orange to give a little of cool/warm contrast.

Having finished this, I went for the marble staff, base coating with white and than playing with random patterns of grey and black to find something that somewhat resembled marble. Than I started the cloth and the pin holding it together, this one was a simple red with shades and basic highlighting an a little stripe of free hand. Finally I worked on the skull by base coating with off with and using shades and highlights to make it look how I wanted it. The last touch was to paint the gems, skull pin and eyes of a glowi  green to give that arcane feel to my priest.

After this, the hard part was done and I had just to go and compleate the details.

And now for the fun part. To make the spell I used some wire the head of the high elf dragon and a bunch of green stuff:

After the sculpting was done I started painting it. the idea was to make it look like a fiery combocation that was rapidly shifting to arcane green flames and than materializing into flesh and bone. Fallowing this train of thought I went on to try and make it a reality.

And after everything was said and done the spell looked like this:

Put it all together and the finished piece is this one:
