I have my doubts about the spiterider leaks. For example, we’ve already seen a picture of the Alarielle warscroll, so it’s not like the warscrolls aren’t already out there. Second, why not include the stats of the seekers or whatever they are called? Third, no specification on what kinds of models it can resurrect. In the past our revival only did d3 for our unconditional battleline units, and 1 for other units. D3 kurnoth hunters would have never gone through playtesting and not been considered too op considering alarielle can’t even summon 3 without losing the ability for the rest of the game.
When will we get more solid proof? Why did the pictures stop coming in?
I think the d3 resurrection will be for 1 and 2 wound models so you can get back your Dryads and Revenants and that they'll get rid of the resurrect 1 model.

I started Sylvaneth as my New Year New Army but lost the drive because AOS died down in my local community but this has definitely brought it back.

agreed on reinforcing Hunters. maybe a Castellant for some more staying power? I'd probably pick Scions unless Hunters retained their astral compass teleport
As far as I know Hunters can teleport instead of making a normal move but no longer have the set up off the table.

Maybe reinforce the Hunter battlelines for more shooting power? Or a unit of Paladins/Evocators for some extra damages?
I can reinforce one of the Hunter units once with what I currently have and was kind of thinking that, I also have Annihilators that I was thinking about adding in and selecting Scions as my army ability so I can deepstrike them in.

I could fit a unit of dragons and they do look pretty awesome but I most likely won't be able to buy dragons when they initially release.

So after finally getting a chance to watch one of the battletome videos this is going to be the core of my list, I just don't know what to add to fill it out to 2000 points. Any suggestions on what to add are welcome, I know Vanguard aren't competitive and I'm probably not going to win a ton of games but the movement shenanigans seems like a ton of fun and will hopefully catch some of my opponents off guard.
Astral Templars
Yndrasta
Knight-Incantor
Knight-Vexillor w/Banner
Lord-Veritant
5 Vanguard-Hunters
5 Vanguard-Hunters
3 Vanguard-Palladors
6 Vanguard-Raptors w/Longstrike
1705 points

I'm interested in my Vanguard units.

I imagine they'll sit around where they are in the new GHB. Sequitors are conditional battleline but we know their buffs are good so they're 145.
Hunters I could see staying at 4+ save regardless, so I think 110 or 115 is a safe bet as conditional+skirmisher battleline
I hope so, but I guess we'll see in about a month

Why in the hell did they bother updating points in the GHB if the new battletome was just going to update them all AGAIN a few weeks later?
Because all of the releases are later than their original intended drop dates, Dominion and AOS3 was supposed to drop back with the Ghal Maraz collectible coin.

I just want to know how much my Vanguard models are going to cost. I'm currently putting together and painting a Vanguard Start Collecting, 10 extra Vanguard-Hunters, 3 boxes of Vanguard-Raptors.
-
Looks like Vanguard-Hunters will still only be Battleline with a Lord-Aquilor General unfortunately.

Where did you get this model? It's not in Dominion
I think it's the new free test model for AOS that you can get from a GW store.

can return a number of slain models to that unit that have a combined Wounds characteristic of D3 or less" to me sounds like you can roll a 2 and return TWO Vindictors with 1 wound each, and a 1 means you can return one vindictor at 1 wound.
Because the ability looks at the combined Wound Characteristic of the chosen unit rolling a 1 fails to bring back any models, a 2 will bring back one model with full Wounds and a 3 will bring back one model with full Wounds and the last point goes away. The math changes when you select a unit to be affected multiple times. As for bringing back models with partial health, I'm pretty sure that's not allowed because returning slain models is an all or nothing ability as far as I know, but we'll get more clarity on reviving effects when the 3.0 rulebook fully leaks.

Dominion box has been preordered to reinforce my Vanguard Chamber.

What size is Yndrastas base? 60mm?
I'm pretty sure she's on a 60mm

I think the +/- cap will work like it does in 40k and it's after all modifiers have been accounted for

so no more 9 raptors either
Feels a little bad since I have 9 raptors unbuilt, but it gives me some flexibility on how to build them when the new tome drops

Loving the speculation, but I would start from the assumption of a higher total points value (someone knows how many points per side were in the Indomitus box?)
The Space Marines half was exactly 1000 points and the Necrons half was 995 points

If your predictions hold true, then my entire Stormcast collection will be on eBay in a few months time. You are correct that GW really seems to listen to all the whiners with some ridiculous hate-bon3r for SCE. It baffles me.
I'm more optimistic than you are though lol. I think SCE will actually be a fun, viable army to play in 3rd edition.I wish I had more faith in GW to not overprice our models, but I genuinely believe that Annihilators will cost somewhere between 210-280. And hey, if I'm wrong I'll be happy to be wrong.
-
To everyone who thinks I'm being ridiculous when I say Annihilators will be 280 (which I know is high, but if I expect the value to be high then I'm pleasantly surprised when it's cheaper and if it's not, oh well). Here's why I believe they won't be valued around the 140 points area like many of you hope.
1. Games Workshop thinks SCE are busted.
2. The AOS community is very vocal about their disdain for SCE.
3. We're supposed to be an "elite" army, so GW will make sure we don't have anything cheap.
4. We're going into a new Edition, GW is going to hike points values to try and "rebalance" the game.

When you saw GW have Kragnos with 2+ save at 760pts, you know Annihilators would't possibly be cheap.
Kragnos is also a God on par with Nagash, Teclis, and Alarielle so it makes sense that he costs as much as he does. I think Annihilators will cost somewhere around 280 because I'm expecting points values to go up like they did for 40k when they transitioned to 9th Ed.

Forgive my ignorance but... what's this?
Referencing Space Marines in Terminator Armour, essentially a unit that has an extra Wound and a better Save than regular Stormcast

Traded some of my 40k stuff for the Bonereapers half of Feast of Bones and would like some help in choosing between the 2 lists attached. Any help or guidance would be appreciated. I'm not trying to build the most competitive top tier version of Bonereapers, just a list that will be fun to play and not lose every single game I play.

I just want Kurnoth Hunters to be Battleline as they're my favorite set of models right after the Spirit of Durthu
